I am from Los Angeles where the nail scene is very competitive and top notch. So I recognize quality. I saw some work by a girl named Linda and called Luxor to book an appointment. This is how it went. Called: no answer just kept ringing. Called again (using a number from Google instead of yelp thinking maybe that was an old number or something)... someone answered. I said: Hi! I'd like to book a full set with Linda if possible! The girl on the phone at Luxor says: "she doesn't work here anymore" I said: "oh! Ok! Thank you!" She says: "what's your name??" I said: (taken by surprise by her harsh tone and wondering why on earth she needs my name) "Oh I'm Chrissy" She says: "ok yea where did you see her work bc she's not here anymore we have other ppl, do you want to book with someone else?" I tell her that I did some research on yelp and google and wanted to book with her bc I'm particular and liked being able to see her work and what she can do. She tells me most of their up to date work is in their instagram and tells me the handle. We end the call. I then decided to look at their insta and I see some good work. So I decide to call back to book. Call four times in a row with no answer. Just keeps ringing. 5th time Sophia answers, I tell her hey I just called blah blah blah but I saw the work and would like to book! She says "IM ALL GOOD ON PICKY!" I ignore the incredibly immature and rude comment and continue on by saying "yea I'm from Los Angeles and I am just having a hard time finding someone who is the same quality as what I'm used to but the work on insta was good do you have any openings today for a full set?" She then kind of changed her tune and starts saying "yea girl tell me about it! I know it's hard to find good ppl here! Then proceeds to say she's the best nail girl there for me. Can I book a full set today? No we are all booked today. OKAAAAAYYYY! Thanks girlie! (girl BYE) Terrible attitude, unprofessional, immature and it's safe to say I'll never go to Luxor. I don't do MEAN GIRL VIBES. Go to Joyful Nails, it's in a better location, way nicer inside, friendly staff and my nails are IMMACULATE! Fair prices too!

The place is cute, well decorated, and seems very clean. They have a ton of nail colors to choose from in both regular and gel polish. My pedicure lasted about an hour and was excellent all the way through. My feet look and feel amazing and I feel very pampered. Thanks again Sarah! I pushed back and he tried to push it open again asking who I was. After this they did fix the doors and added locks that were not in place before. I was also misinformed about the terms of the treatment package I purchased last year. At no point during the purchase was I informed that the treatments would expire after one year. Had this been disclosed, it would have directly affected my decision to proceed. They were very unprofessional, neither of them seemed to know what they were talking about or doing and had to constantly go back and forth with questions before I finished my purchase. After completing my first few treatments, I contacted their office and explained that I had multiple trips planned and would be returning the following fall to continue treatment, particularly due to sun exposure concerns. During that conversation, there was still no mention of an expiration date or any urgency to use the remaining sessions. In December, I scheduled another appointment without issue and booked a follow-up. Shortly afterward, I was contacted and told I needed to move the appointment up because my treatments would expire before that date. This was extremely frustrating, as this was the first time I was made aware of any expiration. I would not have allowed such a significant balance to go unused had I known there was a strict time limit. When I arrived for the rescheduled appointment, I waited nearly 20 minutes only to be told that the machine was down and that I would be contacted to reschedule. I was not. After two weeks with no follow-up, I had to call to schedule the appointment myself. I've tried to resolve this with the owner for over a month without putting out a bad review because the girl whe did my treatments did a great job but the owner will not respond. They are very unprofessional when you call and there is no accountability with management.

I had an appointment with BONNIE. I did do a little research before hand to scope out what nail tech I wanted to book with for my Full Set. I could immediately tell that Bonnie's work was clean, not lumpy, symmetrical and precise. I had virtually no wait time and was pleased to be seated almost immediately after picking my colors. The layout is well organized and thought out. There are 16 really nice pedicure chairs with massagers and they have a little piece that lifts up to hold your leg while they remove calluses. A MUST in my opinion! Down the center there are 10 labeled manicure desks with large lights, Hooks for your purse and comfortable seats. It's very clear where you need to sit and theres plenty of room. Theres a large mirror along the back wall with a sink and work station for the staff. Multiple TVs and a variety of things playing. The ambiance is nice with soft "travel" music and videos to match. The lighting is cohesive and everything looks clean and orderly. Good ventilation and high ceilings. Overall well thought out and stylish. This place is the ideal nail spa with friendly and accommodating staff. You don't ever feel like anyone's talking about you like you do in other salons and the staff are friendly and happy overall. I moved here about 7 years ago from Los Angeles where the nail salon scene is extremely competitive and top notch. I have to say that it's taken me 7 years to find the quality, cleanliness, caring nature and immaculate work this salon has. Bonnie is by far a professional with a kind and friendly personality. I never once felt like I needed to see if she was going to be able to achieve my inspiration picture. She absolutely nailed it and went above and beyond my expectations. Needless to say I found my new go to nail salon. Thank goodness it's down the street, but even if it wasn't, I'd drive however far I needed to go to a quality place like this. I end with this. Please GUYS TIP WELL. At LEAST 20% and MAKE AN APPT. I promise you will be treated well! You have to treat others well and with respect if you want it to come back to you in return.
