My hands hurt so bad, I have two fingers the gentleman that did my nails cut. And my fingers hurt and ache, especially if I outstretched my fingers. I have had my nails done for well over 25 years, this has to be the worst experience ever. On top of the pain and sores he gave me today, my nails are so odd looking and extraordinarily thick. Good job on pedicure, i believe they go a good job, pretty friendly. I will probably NOT return because of lack of cleanliness. They do not use plastic liners in the foot bathes and their pedicure instruments are not individually bagged insuring sterilization and/or single use. Me and my daughters came here for a girl day and it seemed like a nice place. We got there however and the pictures were grossly outdated, this inside of this place looked like it was halfway falling apart. We had made an appointment but acted like they were surprised we showed up and scrambled to accommodate us. The pedicure was decent but they constantly tried to "upsale" the polish choices to gel so they could charge more. We kept telling them no we just wanted regular polish but they acted like they didn't understand us. They even told my daughter the regular polish she wanted wasn't available, she HAD to get gel, even though she picked out regular polish and gave it to them. Stephen did a good job and was soooo fast BUT I have been in there 3 times and had an appt today and got there for my appt and they could not get their act straight. I actually made an appt so I wouldn't have a scheduling issue again. The girl that handles the appts is rude, and doesn't listen and hangs up in you in the middle of a conversation. She alone ruins the place. Can't handle scheduling or customer service worth a hill of beans. And that is saying it nice. Went to my appt today and she proceeds to tell me my appt was yesterday. Stephen sitting right there wouldn't even speak up. I even have a business card he gave me at my last appt with my new appt day and time. At my previous 3 appts he was really late every time. IF I could give them negative stars, I would. Endured horrible infection from their pedicure. I wish I had read these comments before stepping foot into this "nail salon". Being from out of town, a friend and I came here for last minute pedicures for a wedding we were attending. Customer service was awful. Big language barrier. Pushy staff. Service took forever as they kept taking walk ins in front of us which only delayed our service (already in progress) and interrupted constantly (2.5 hours for pedicures!). Final result- I could have done a better job. BUT the worst of it all as the infection I received from this place. I get monthly pedicures and mani/acrylic fills bi-weekly from my usual salon where I live. Have been for years. I have NEVER had an issue until this appointment. All because of the technician tearing a cuticle on the edge of my right big toe and causing it to bleed. The next morning (day of wedding)- my big toe was super swollen, red, and painful. -Upon returning home, and after puss forming, I received a round of antibiotics. No improvement. -Another stronger round of antibiotics. We thought it was healed- but two days after I finished the meds, the infection reappeared. -Referral to podiatrist -Strongest oral prescription and topical ointment they could issue me combined with a SURGICAL removal of the edge of my nail so that infection could heal. 6 MONTHS later it has finally healed with doctor giving strict instructions to NEVER step foot back into this salon (like I needed to be told). My toe.nail is permanently and obviously scared and deformed as the toe nail will never regrow normally again. Trust me- its not worth the risk of giving this place an opportunity. It wasn't even until now, when I came on to post, that I saw other's concerns and observations with their sanitation/cleanliness (or lack there of)... If I had known- I never would have gone elsewhere. read more

I made it my mission to get a pedicure when I was up in Sonora this last weekend. Visited two places, neither one had any pedicure availability for Saturday, and I mean, I kind of knew going somewhere without an appointment, especially after all this craziness, was going to be a long shot, but I wanted to try. So after the third "sorry we're booked" I just started going down the list of places that said they were open, 7 or 8 phone calls later I got here. I got in, got a chair and the gal went right to work, she carefully started cleaning up my poor feet, that were definitely in need of some TLC. She did get a little close a few times but was quick to use the stuff to stop the bleeding/alcohol spray, and I wasn't surprised, I mean it's been over 6 months...she apologized multiple times, it didn't hurt, I knew it was going to happen, I have in-grown toe nails. But oh man! She cleaned, scrubbed and massaged. It was wonderful. She was sweet, thorough, and was very careful with my stupid mosquito bites , too. I would definitely come back. I have my go-to place in Oakdale, and Escalon but I am up in Sonora frequently enough to keep this one in my back pocket if needed! read more

Worst nail salon I have ever been to. 30 min late. Kelly was rude, mean, and caused cuts on my fingers. She did not change the icky paper towel that she had been using before me, all her tools and table were filthy and there was no sanitization. She did a horrible dip powder job. 3 coats on my right hand and only two on my left. She put super glue under my nails, don't know why. They are lumpy and shaped horribly. She was in a hurried state, and was very rude. It was like getting my nails done by the soup Nazi. I will never go back there and will let everyone else know not to go there either. The lady doing my nails didn't listen to what I wanted at all then when she asked me if I liked it and I told her not really she gave me so much attitude saying that was what I asked for (which it wasn't ) .there was acrylic all over my hands from my full set and a bump under the nail. I went to have my nails done. The first is what they were supposed to be, and the second picture is what I got. They were way too short, and I spoke up letting them know I was not happy with them. They made a scene, and would not be redo them. Then preceded to charge me full price, and not try to make any advance to fix them. I tried to make a new appointment even paying for today's and the next set, even though they messed up, and they said they were busy and I could not schedule. These are the worst nails I have ever had. I have never had an issue with them, but have noticed when clients complain, they do not try to fix the issue. Ok I use to love this place but the last couple of times I have been there I'm really unhappy. So I always tell them not to get any product on my fingers below the nail and every time they do when this happens my fingers swell and get blisters, itchy then scar. I have even taken pictures to show them and still they do it. I have asked for almond shape nails and long they give me stiletto shape and short and any time I come in with picture of what I want they say I can't do that. To keep business you would think the customer is always right take your time and listen to them. But really for them its get them in and out as fast as you can read more

I love my Nails done by Hoa, at Nails Art in Sonora, Ca.! We had no Nail Salons open due to lock down, but I found that this wonderful place was (and is) open! I was hesitant but when I entered, I could see that they were clearly proactive in preventing any kind of Covid issues. Along with hand sanitizer, and sanitized work stations, they had a Plexiglass sneeze shield aka a Counter-top Barrier Shield on each work station. Partitioning themselves safely behind the Plexiglass, protecting Customers & Themselves. I noticed Hoa, my nail artist also wore protective gloves. I felt safe. Hoa did a wonderful job on my Nails. They are gorgeous! If this place wasn't so far from my home, I'd definitely make it my go to Nails spot! Thank you Hoa! You are such a talent & such a nice guy! They demanded that we sat in the chair before we could even pick a color out so I had my sister look for a color for me because I obviously couldn't. Can I give no stars? Went there for a gel mani. All that was done was the gel nail polish. No mani. I paid the full amount for the mani. Then the gel nail polish started to peel of he next day. Now i am sitting here a week after (no lie) and only have 3 nails with the gel polish left. I have NEVER had a gel mani wear off starting the next day. Even the lady said when i got it done that it will last about 3 weeks. Also during the application of the gel polish another customer broke some glass and the workers left her standing there until it was picked up. In the meantime I was asked to wash my hands in the bathroom sick. In the bathroom sink there were all the previous used nail equipment just thrown in and pilled up. I go here often to get a quick mani peti. A lot of people just walk in and have to wait. The trick is to call ahead and make an appointment. My nails always look 100x better than if I had done them and are done in a quarter of the time. The price is cheap compared to salons. New to the area. Looked at Yelp for ratings of nail salons. Decided to try out this salon based on the ratings. I should of left after I walked in and the person doing my nails was digging through a pile of towels on the floor to decide which one to use when working on my nails. This place is not clean. Not sure if the instruments used on my nails were cleaned because the person brought them from the back room. I'm use to seeing the instruments being brought to the table in a sealed bag. Hopefully, I do not get an infection on my nails. I will be looking for another place to get my nails done. read more
