The place is very…read moreclean, the staff was very nice; I even chatted with the woman at the front about her daughter's wedding. My daughters both had 2" taken off the length, and one only had a bang trim. I was applauded when I was told the bill was $90! I did read the menu prices on the wall and knew that they consider a child 6 years or younger only; I understood that I had to pay women's prices for my children. The price listed on the wall was that women's haircuts start at $30 and go up. Since there was no layering and their hair is shoulder length, $30 each child was appropriate. The nice woman, whose daughter's wedding is next year, yelled from the back that she asked me if I wanted the girls' hair washed and I said yes. I did, but there is no price listed on the wall for hair washing. I am 49 and never, ever have I been " a la carted" for a basic hair wash when my hair is cut. I then went on to itemize her reasoning: $30/child's cut, and $15/ child's basic hair wash. Did I buy the bottles for the week! After the staff all spoke in Hindi so I couldn't understand, they said they'd charge $5/ child's hair wash. I had only $20 bills in cash on me and didn't want to use a debit card, so I handed over $80 and left. The $10 I left was the tip. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible business ethic. Never again!

Blown away!! If youre looking for an amazing and skilled waxer for a Brazilian, LYDIA is your girl!…read moreNot only have I been getting waxed for over 10 years, but I am actually a former longtime wax specialist myself, so I am extremely picky and wouldn't be writing this is if it wasn't true. Although I have since changed careers altogether, I am typically able to wax myself... that is, until I got pregnant and it became an impossible task. Next came the seemingly impossible task of finding a waxer I could trust to get me through the next few months of my pregnancy. I booked with Lydia based off of a few glowing reviews, but still had my apprehension... its totally a control thing, trusting someone to do to you what you yourself are an expert in! Whats the saying.. doctors are the worst patients? Anyway, I braced myself for some discomfort and was pleasantly surprised by Lydias amazing painless technique. She is such a sweet girl to talk to as well! My wax was flawless and I immediately rebooked. What a relief to not have to worry about waxing with a new wax specialist I can trust, so close to home! ALSO- I didnt see it mentioned in reviews, but to anyone wondering, Waxing the City DOES use Hard/Stripless Wax on Brazilian waxes.. not soft wax... just an FYI as everyone told me they only used soft wax!

So disappointed....I used to come here religiously for Michelle (she no longer works here). As you…read morecan see, all the great reviews with pictures mention her. Anyway, when she left, I decided to not bother taking the drive here and found a great place by my house. Long story short, I'm leaving for vacation and my girl wasn't available so I came here and asked for a recommendation for someone to do my brows. What I got was a mess! When I saw the one brow I immediately told the girl that I usually don't take that much off and she, visibly seeing I wasn't happy, said my eyebrow was already messed up (it wasn't). The wax felt fine going on and I do not have sensitive skin but there is some kind of stinging welt beneath the eyebrow that got messed up. Nothing could be done so I didn't say anything more and I left. I called the owner 15 minutes later because I was too upset after looking at my brows in the car and she said I would be offered a refund and to go to someone named Lidia next time. She called me back a couple hours later and she said she talked to the girl and the girl explained everything she did to me during my session. I don't know how that's relevant. Explaining what you did doesn't make me like the outcome. The owner said the girl who did my brows "does them all day" and that "no one has ever complained". That was the end of the conversation. I didn't receive a refund and I will not be going back. The proof is in the pictures.

After my experience with Zuzanna, I totally understand why this was a great choice. Making the appointment seemed a little labored.. I guess because of the hours, there is one girl manning the phones... and also, Zuzanna is pretty booked, but I'm glad one was accommodated. Parking lot is shared and a little tiny, but I believe there is on the street parking (on the side). Aesthetically pleasing and very clean inside..The only issue that I had and almost made me walk out was my beginning experience.. not really warm and fuzzy when I entered in for the first time. I was told that I really needed to make my appt right at 5:45, so I was shocked when I hadn't gotten seen until at least 30 mins later with no check in from the front... just when I was about to leave (had limited time to begin with), Zuzanna called me in.... from there my experience was on the up and up. Very professional, warm with just enough conversation, yet intensely thorough and in control of the process. It seemed as though I was in and out and she did a fabulous job! I am so happy that I found this place and may try them out for other skincare related options.

The wax used here is hard wax and works phenomenal. The waxes I receive are: Brazilian, lower legs, upper lip, side burns, and cheeks. Nicole does an excellent job! I used to get waxed at a nail salon (I've been getting waxed for about 10 years now) and what a nightmare that was. I can assure you that when I leave here, I don't even feel that I've just gotten a Brazilian wax, it's wild actually. I go right next door to shop at TJMaxx like it's nothing. At the nail salon I'd have to mentally prepare myself and ice for a day after - how crazy!!! Nicole is very sweet as well. She has a kind voice, and she talks to you the entire time. After knowing her for a few years now, I feel as though she is a friend of mine. She makes you feel very comfortable during your wax. I just know I'll be getting waxed by Nicole until the end of time, and I hope she never leaves the area! I don't know what I'd do without her. As for the business itself, it's clean inside and they have a single men's bathroom and single women's bathroom. They have many products up front by the checkout counter which they do push their waxers to sell to their clients. Everything there I can really do without except the ingrown hair serum which is an absolute must, so I highly suggest that to prevent ingrown hairs. Also, the person who checks you out when you are done always tries selling you packages. You just have to say no if you don't want it. I have packages for every single one of my waxes because I know I'm going to get waxed forever, so for me it's worth it. If you're not sure, just wait. The best deal is usually the buy 9 get 3 free. Either way, I'm a loyal client and will continue to be back.

I stood there awkwardly waiting by the check in counter after choosing polish because no one told me where to wait or who would be doing my pedicure. Eventually I asked because I did have some place to be and they were running behind. As for my service itself, it was odd. The water was cold and the tech looked so annoyed when I said it was too cold even after she added water. She gets up in a huff and gets a bucket to empty the basin and add some warm water. Still wasn't hot but... acceptable. We finally get started and she talked more to the woman in the chair next to me than she did to me. Nothing special or memorable about the pedicure, and only 4 days after my gel pedicure the gel was already lifting. Won't be back.
