First the positive: good customer service, clean. And organized. Negatives: the gel polish only lasted a few days by few I mean 3 before it started chipping. The lady in the front to the right when you walk in was very harsh with my hands when completing the manicure that I originally declined to have but after being asked to give me a manicure vs. just polish by 3 employees I gave in. She cut my cuticles until they bled, and filed my nails down paper thin. My nail beds were very sore for the first week. Nice people but I won't be going back to that nail shop. The biggest compliment I want to give here, is the employees customer service. They genuinely seemed to care that I was satisfied with my experience. It's my birthday tomorrow so I figured I should get my nails done: they took me in at last minute (7:15) (they close at 7:30) and they were beyond accommodating! I have had nothing but great experiences at Nail Spa until last Thursday. I was religious about coming here every two weeks for a mani (shellac) and pedicure. I came in on Thursday of last week, was sat down to get my pedi and after waiting for about 10 minutes someone else came in and sat down who I presume had an appointment. I was already bummed I had waited 10 minutes, but for a loyal customer to be bumped (when they could have long ago started on my pedi), I was shocked. Maybe they were short staffed, I don't know. I do know that I would have had to wait 45 minutes with my feet already soaking before I would get any service. Additionally, this place plays the same (Pandora?) station every time I am here. Think 90's R&B (Boys II Men, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child) which was cool the first 3 times I came, but quickly got old. I never understood why they didnt play the sound on the TV, which was usually HGTV. During the same Thursday visit I referenced earlier, they were playing the sound on the TV, but it was some dumb, inappropriate Adam Sandler movie from Netflix that literally alluded to one of the characters doing X-rated things with a horse. I was desperate for a color change so I tried another salon for the first time in over a year, Nails of America off Bay Area and was BLOWN AWAY by how much nicer, bigger and cleaner it was that Nail Spa. read more

I've been to this nail shop twice I was referred to by a friend who spoke highly of the place... I was referred to Frankie on my first visit and he did my nails but he rushed on them and there was nobody in the shop... however due to him rushing on my nails he cut my hands up so bad that I woke up out of my sleep that night with both hands throbbing because of all the cuts he had given my while filing and shaping my nails I had to run my hands under cold water for like 5 minutes for them to stop hurting I wanted to call the next day to tell him how bad he cut my hands but I just let it go... even tho I should've learned my lesson the first time I decided to give them another chance I went back last Friday Oct 22,2021 for a full set and pedicure with shellac polish for both. I didn't have any nails on that had to be removed prior to the full set I was getting...I asked for Frankie originally and I was just going to explain to him about going slower so he doesn't cut my hands up again however he told me that he couldn't because he had an appointment so he let a guy Named Ryan do my nails which he had just started working there and I believe he actually just started doing nails because he was confused on a lot of things... he didn't use the drill to buff and smooth out my nails he couldn't shape a nail to save his life so I feel like he was practicing on me more than anything which was very frustrating and upsetting and he took forever to do my nails which was a full set with shellac polish no designs or anything else. So the first time I went I had nails that needed to be removed and I got an ombré powder set he (Frankie)charged me $74 dollars for my nails the second time I went I didn't have to have any nails removed and I didn't have any designs and I was charged $90 for a plain color full set... most nail shops have a set price for length and a set price for shellac however that day when I asked how did my total come out to be so much for a full set and plain shellac polish Frankie told me they charged by the inch for shellac which I thought was strange because powder nails have always cost more than shellac along with getting nails removed and I got the same length as I did the first time so if anything the powder set should have been more than the shellac set.. and on my receipt it had pedicure then the price of it plus the shellac which was $18 and for my nails it just said $90 but it didn't have all the details like it did for the pedicure so that means he just made up a price under miscellaneous items and charged me what he wanted to... on my first visit I tipped him and Hannah which is the lady who did my pedicure $20 a piece... this last visit I didn't want to tip because I felt like I had been scammed out of my money being that my total had came out to $145 but I still left $10 for Ryan even though he did a horrible job and $10 for Kim which is the lady who did my pedi this last visit. Frankie tried to give me a $10 off coupon for the next visit and I threw that away because I'm never coming back to that shady ass nail shop and I don't suggest any black ppl go because they will try to scam you because they already feel like we don't tip so they add whatever then it goes to their check later on...so from now on I will only be getting my nails done by a black owned shop or nail tech where I know my money is appreciated and valued read more

Liked this place till today. My kids and I came just to get a polish change. When I walked in they started on my feet. Within 10 minutes there were other nail techs available to do my girls polish but I guess because they're kids they didn't want to. So they sat down and played on their phones and did other things. So we waited for one person to change both girls polish. Needless to say we were here OVER an hour for simple polish changes. When we definitely all could have been polished at the same time.
