I'm very satisfied with a gel fill in and color change. My technician did an awesome job and was fast and efficient. There was no long wait and the salon was clean and modern looking. The prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely go back. read more

ALL OUT TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Owner rude and insulting! Pre-Pandemic customer but today was the worst. Demeaning tone and very argumentative and unprofessional.. Loud talking to me the paying customer.. Extremely Disappointing Experience!!!! I've been coming here for years, but never have I had such a negative experience with a business owner. Jimmy was rude, argumentative, and completely unprofessional--in front of other customers, no less. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I was there for a simple dip powder, and even the staff looked shocked by his behavior. One customer just shook her head. I've read reviews about his rudeness before, but this was the first time I experienced it firsthand--and it will be the last. There are nail salons on every street. I'll be taking my business--and those I referred--elsewhere. Respect and professionalism matter. Do better. No way to do a 70+ Grandmother!!! Take your business elsewhere!!! read more

2 stars because the guy was nice and offered late appointments if I call first also no additip Al charge for card transactions these nails I'll post are less than 24 hours old the shaping is terrible the clear coat literally had no shine my nails are so dull with no uniform shaping I requested ballerina & the acrylic is thickkk, now considering I forgot about an evening event they were better than naked hands, I still wouldn't return.I did not get a manicure but these nails look at least 10 days old . read more

Better technicians. I had been going here for five years faithfully once a month manicure pedicure even in the winter the last time I went, the normal technicians were leaving for Vietnam. There was a family emergency, and Jimmy stuck me with his mother-in-law. It was by far the worst pedicure I ever got. The massage was more like the woman was washing her hands on my legs. This is what I got after being a loyal customer for five years not to mention Jimmy didn't like that I was putting light nail polish on my nails. Should I be able to pick whatever polish I want to put on my nails Just a very unprofessional place. read more

Didn't put acrylic on the tips, can not do any design or even a simple French, nails crooked and sloppy, they have fake pictures posted on the salon and on reviews which I was told and shown NO ONE there can do. Only a plain color polish is what you can get here and it still turned out horrible. Prices are way too high. I could have done my own nails and they would have turned out better. I won't even go here to get them soaked off at this point. Talk about false advertising. Lady didn't even put acrylic on the tips of my nails, could not do a simple V French so I got solid polish where you can clearly see how horrible the acrylic job was in pics below. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon and his is the worst nail experience I have ever had. I wanted a regular pedicure and a manicure dip. First, I was there for almost three hours. He didn't even do my pedicure and was just changing my color and I was so confused so I had to tell that he was doing it wrong. Then for my nails he didn't cut my cuticles and my dip was put on horribly. There are so many mistakes on my nails and some have half the paint off. This is horrible and I kept telling him he wasn't doing it right but he didn't do anything to fix them. I absolutely hate my nails and I am so angry. On top of all that he took forever. Why does it take three hours to do that and the job done was terrible. I will never recommend this place read more

Nail First - I kept telling him that this nail was not done right and all he said was that it wasn't dry yet. Now my nails all look horrible - Nail Salons Near Me - West Bloomfield, Michigan

I left my old salon and started going to Nail First. Jimmy was the best, but now he and Vickie are gone. Everyone that I know that went to them, are now looking for a new salon. I love his parents, but they are not Jimmy or Vickie. Please bring them back. Kim does give the best pedicure. read more

This place is a joke. There's a nail salon on every corner there a dime a dozen. But wow this one is a dump. A salon that deserves to go out of business. jimmy is unappreciative of his customers and gave Poor service and if he is asked to do something different than what he is doing he will quit wanting to work on your nails because even though ur the one paying and u want them a certain way he doesn't care about what customers think or want. They Talk about u right in front of u to other employees. Jerk off that says don't come back because he is illiterate and doesn't know English language and can't understand it. He can't remember what u wanted even when u show him a picture of it. He is ridiculous. He is super Cheap on products for ur nails refused to use more if u ask for more acrylic for ur nails because he doesn't do them good he wipes tiny pieces of acrylic on and said no to me asking to make thicker he said no because he said that's all I'll do. If u don't like u can go and go somewhere else. Also says one price in the beginning then changes it after he is almost done and can't remember anything he says to u or u ask him for or want done to ur nails Jimmy!!!! Garbage a Joke Guaranteed the ones that go here and like it and wrote a good review for them only get shellac or probably don't know anything about nails and are just wearing them for a min and haven't had them done to many times or they don't want them to look like what's popular and instyle with acrylics. So FYI. ITS NOT HARD TO DO SHELLAC!!! *****A week later... after writing this. The owner sends me this. What a classes less business man that cares more about himself then anyone that spends their money at his salon to keep it in buisness. I don't even understand what the hell that means that he complimented me on which isn't a compliment obviously lol but I could really careless what he says to be honest. He can't speak English which doesn't surprise me. FYI If u want a good nail salon go to #EAGLE NAILS (Kevin) is the really good and isn't a racist that doesn't give to shits about u but all of the techs are good. And I told Kevin about my experience at Nail First, when I went to get my nails fixed and he did my nails properly and made sure I got what I asked for did what I asked for and also made sure I liked what he did before he did them all. I told him about the owner at nail first that did my nails horrible and he said he doesn't understand why some nail places act like that and are like that when I am the customer, I'm paying I should get what I want if I'm $$$ paying for it. he actually gave a crap and where this dude at nail first could give a shit less, except for being able to rip you off $$$ and be stingy on his product and greedy, because he's cheap and would rather be cheap then to make his customers happy and keep them coming back to his Janky salon!!! But anyway Thanks for ur compliment or what ever that was!!! read more

Horrible. Honestly. Do NOT waste your time here. I came here about a month ago and my nails came out looking like my 7 year old cousin did them. I decided to give them a second chance by going to Jimmy because I heard some good things about him. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00AM (scheduled 2 weeks in advance) and I receive a call MORNING OF my appointment at 9:46AM telling me that my nail tech is on vacation. I have a full weekend of events and now am stuck without getting my nails done because they cancelled 1 hour before my appointment. This is so unprofessional and I recommend you take your service elsewhere. read more

I pass this nail salon often. Decided to give them a try, service provided was gel fill in with shellac, and eyebrow arch. Vincent was excellent!!! Very precise with fill in ( not to thick). Polish was very neat. Eyebrows were just how I like them. Will definitely return. read more

I have never in my whole live had a better pedicure. I came to this salon to get a pedicure after leaving my usual nail salon since there was about a two-hour wait. I walked in this salon and was immediately taken to the pedicure station. I believe the woman doing my nails was the owner but I am not 100% sure. Whoever she is, she did an amazing job! Extremely detailed, attentive, and nice. She really took the time to make sure I enjoyed my time at the salon and that my pedicure would last. After my nails were done I went to the drying station and she brought me a receipt with the total, no guessing on how the payment process was going to work. While walking out three people said bye and wished me a good night. Those small things really make going to the nail salon more comfortable. Plus, all the pricing is on their website and I believe they are competitively priced. read more

I went to Nails First to get a pedicure. I will never go back to this place again. My heels have dry skin and they did not do a good job with the dry heel. I went back the next day and the owner was so defensive and said that they could remove a little bit more of the dry skin. Poor customer service. Will definately not go back to this place again! read more

I went to Nail First for the first time on 4/2/2018 after having read the reviews on here. I have been getting my nails done consistently for over two years around the metro Detroit area. I went to Nail First for an acrylic fill with shellac. The gentlemen named Ryan who did my nails did not file my cuticles nor did he file my nails correctly. The acrylic is on my natural nail and is exceptionally thick, as seen in the pictures. Also, the nail polish does not meet the acrylic and can be clearly seen in the photos the difference in length. I was also charged an additional $2 for "new acrylic" on one of nails when I was getting an acrylic fill. Nail First does not have a price board located in their place of business so the $2 up charge may have been correct. However, I do not have anything to reference this additional charge on. Please look at the photos before making an decision on whether or not to visit this place of business and spend your money there. Before I left I had a different employee file the sides of my nails and she said "what happened here?". I wish I had an answer for this young lady. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE and use my misfortune as a tool to make an informed decision. read more

Listen I moved to Michigan went to 4 places and jimmy saved me . My nails are perfect ....... Thank you jimmy he is the best

This is the only place I can get a shellac/gel manicure that actually lasts more than a week!! I'm used to them chipping away (like they're not supposed to) so I went in with an open mind, fully expecting them to chip or peel away like other places. Other shops have tried, but Nail First has a magic touch. I'm on my second manicure from them (done by different nail techs) and my nails still look amazing!! I'm not sure why there's people hating on this shop - it's clean, reasonably priced but most importantly for me - my nails LAST!! read more

Came in without an appointment and was told 5-10 minutes to wait. After 20 min was put in a chair, someone came over, started filing one nail, stopped and walked away to work on another customer. Sat another 10 min waiting without explaining anything. It was awkward to say the least. Another customer next to me walked out as she was tIred of waiting as well. While the manicure lasted a long time I won't be back. It was not a very clean or tranquil environment I like to enjoy during a mani. Seemed very dirty and an odd smell the entire time. Plenty of other nail salon options in the area. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. UNPROFESSIONAL, DIRTY, RUDE, UNSANITARY, OVERALL HORRIBLE. Honestly scared that I went here, everything was so dirty, I mean so unbelievably filthy and it smelled like garbage, like true restaurant garbage. Also worker with the short shorts( I mean they were showing her whole butt short) needs to change her attitude or she will be the reason the business goes down. She was answering calls(personal), texting, coughing, blowing her nose, sucking in snot all in front of her client, I wanted to yell at her for that client. And no other worker said anything to her. I do not recommend at all I honestly think it needs to be shut down I've never seen a nail salon so filthy. And to top it all off everyone was just so rude it was like they looked disgusted by me, when I'm paying them! read more

First time, male coming in. Kinda careless and unprofessional. Came in at 4pm and it wasn't busy at all but still feel rushed. No champagne or wine as shown in pics above either. I could care less but still. Wouldn't come back. Not sure how they handle woman tho! read more

Maybe it was the time of day, we came in the evening or something but after reading these raving reviews I had to come try it out. First I think that the language barrier with some of the employees has A LOT to do with how I experienced this location. Nevertheless I've handled those situations with ease in the past having lived in other countries. There are only two employees who understand/speak English and one of them completely misunderstood what my mother said about wanting a gel overlay on her nails and instead told someone else to give her a full set (fake nail and all). She realized what was happening and told him to what she wanted and the employees who spoke English jumped in. This place is really small so that means that now everyone is listening to any concerns you have. Then as she tried to explain what services she would like an employee started telling my mother that if she doesn't like something she should leave. This is just horrible customer service. People come to nail salons and spas to relax and be pampered, not PAY to be treated poorly. read more

I'm so disappointed in this place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!! They rushed my nails, had no enthusiasm and no sense of care. Everything was a complete and total mess. Mostly all of my nails were uneven, color was sloppy and crooked! I'm angry as hell that I even walked in here. Worst decision ever. Nothing is clean in there and all of the workers are rude and barely speak to you. Go to LV Nails in Troy or Nail Gloss in Sterling Heights. May cost more but it'll last longer and be better quality. read more

Honestly I've been to worse nail salons but this one is on my list. I got a full set of acrylics which I've had acrylics plenty of times before I was told 25 dollars for the full set. Then there was a $2 up charge for the shape I wanted ? I mean okay. My nails are definitely crooked... not awful but noticeable for sure. I read the reviews on here and figured that they have a good reputation but ended up spending $40 for a full set and shellac. My shellac was rushed through because they were busy and have bubbles and streak marks. Honestly there are a million nail salons that are way better. The vibe I gathered from here too was just really unprofessional and they were kinda rude. Just believe me when I say try somewhere else. Or pay 10 dollars more for a top notch place, my full set was no where near worth $40, it would have maybe been worth it for $20. read more

They do a great job and have great spa chairs. Manis are quick, which makes me happy cause I don't always have a lot of time to sit!

Vicki, her husband and mother in law are wonderful. I love it there. I love the hot towels and scrub pedicure. It's super clean too.
