This is probably one of the lowest-quality manicures and pedicures I've ever gotten. I just can't believe that this could possibly be the best in Santa Fe. The edges of my nails were left all jaggedy underneath, even though I tried to get them to file them away. My cuticles were left rough and untended. And the polish job near the base of my cuticles is very uneven. As for my feet, they put a little lotion on them and that was it. No pumice, buffing, or anything. They were clean and there wasn't a wait, so that was good. read more

NOPE. Way overpriced. All of the paint on my nails (mani/pedi) have air bubbles. No clean lines on the painted nail edges. Massage chair didn't work. Danny didn't wear gloves so basically a strange, creepy man massaging my arms, hands, legs, and feet. Still in search of a halfway decent nail salon in this city. read more

Nail Experts - Nail Salons Near Me - Santa Fe, New Mexico

Aweful experience. The manicurist dissed my polish choice, was fast and sloppy, made my cuticles bleed and then stung them with antiseptic, and after everything I realized that the coat on several nails was bumpy and uneven with bubbles in the polish. I had to ask for my money back, seeing as I could have done a better job myself. Waste of time, don't go here read more

Wow! Best pedicure I have ever had! Thank you Chris. He is thorough and a true professional.

I came from out of town ,and needed my nails done ASAP,(they were pretty bad) this by far is the worst customer service I received. The gentleman doing my nails seemed bothered by me and was pulling me and throwing my hands around, I was so appalled by the treatment I asked how long he had been working there and he had been there for 20 years I understand as veteran he might not care about his work but I can say for being "one of the best" in town I'd beg to differ, oh and lastly let me not forget to mention when I payed he threw my money back as I only left a small tip but for the service I received I should have never even left a tip. read more

Pretty standard - good price. Place seems clean. I appreciated that they had the sterilizer in plain view and they took instruments from there. Made sure that I was comfortable. This doesn't sound like an amazing review - but it's a nail place and in Santa Fe where customer service is nonexistent and prices are outrageous - this is the place to go to get what you would expect as standard anywhere else in the country. read more

Every time I have been here I love the results. I found this place after I had a horrible full set done at another place in town; they fixed up my nails to perfection! They also do a killer gel manicure. I highly recommend this place! read more

Who says this is the best nail salon in town!? I went because I heard all the raves reviews, even though I love my regular spot. Well, I checked out Nail Experts and I will not be going back. I made an appointment, which turned out to mean nothing. I still had to wait 20 minutes to even get put in the pedicure chair and then another 10 before anyone got started on my nails. My nails were not cut to my liking, the filing was poorly done and the gel polish made it not only on my nails, but my skin too. I'm going back to my regular place (Serenity Nails) and I'm staying put! read more

I've been to a lot of Santa Fe nail salons and this is now my "home" salon. Mac has been amazing to help me through some ingrown toenail issues. Chau, the owner, met me on a Sunday (when they were closed) to retrieve my cell phone. Lifesavers all around. I wouldn't go to any other salon in Santa Fe. If you have posted a bad review about this place, I suggest you try again to resolve any problems you have directly with the salon. read more

They well deserve the best of Santa Fe awards they have gotten. They're fast and very good. If you want nail art Mac is the best there is.

I just moved to Santa Fe 2 weeks ago and am so lucky to have found this gem. Ben fixed my nails exactly how I wanted them. He gave me some great recommendations and they look amazing!! This will definitely become my regular salon. read more

have been going here for over a year. always wonderful service and excellent work. Highly recommend this salon.

Out of all the cheaper nail places in town, this one is consistently my favorite - and others like it too as it always wins Best Of Santa Fe. No, it's probably not the best mani pedi in town but it certainly is the best value. They never hurt me, they are friendly, clean, they do a perfectly fine job. I'm done with the other places. And no, I don't care to spend $60 on a pedicure, I've had those too, not worth it to me. read more

They open at 9. A big plus for me. Hot towels on your legs, then deep leg and foot massage. I highly recommend Nail Experts. They're not only nail experts they are pampering experts. read more

I have been going here the past year and have enjoyed every time that I have gone in. They do get busy, best to make an appointment. When I go in I usually get a regular pedi and a gel mani. They have a variety of colors or you can bring in your own. read more

I used to come here often and it was alright. Today I came and it will be my last time. My gel manicure was rushed and sloppy. The woman doing them was rude and decides to put a different color on my nails than the one I requested because "it is better". She did not take off the remaining old polish of my hands before she started. There are places on my nails are are missing polish. Probably the worst manicure I have ever received. read more

When got home I noticed a big glob of nail polish on the side of my big toe and spots of polish on other toes that hadn't been cleaned off. No effort made to scrub off heel callouses. Cost for a pedicure $35 including tip. Not sure how they were rated Best of Santa Fe 2017. read more

No idea where they got such a "best of" review, but def not the best I've had. Passing through town so I went there based on the review. Pedi and gel nails - suspicious because she did them in HALF the time it normally takes. Tech was friendly and chatty, but too preoccupied with the big TV during the manicure. Looked ok when I left, but in 5 days my nails started peeling...no quality here. read more

I have never had a manicurist be so ceaselessly rude. She constantly ridiculed my color choose and made fun of me for wanting the water hotter (it was lukewarm). Actual pedicure was just ok, but not a pleasant experience at all, read more

I have been here before, not often, but about 2-3 times a year for many years. This last mani-pedi was not at all too my satisfaction.. Very rushed and my nails bubbled. I went back within hours and they did redo the nails, they gave me a song and dance about "texture" in some polishes, I picked a different polished and was told that the one I now picked was smooth and should be fine. However they bubbled again. I have never had this happen before, and unfortunately, my husband had just purchased another gift certificate for me, the same day as my mani-pedi. So I went back and showed them that the re-do had also bubbled, and thus I was not happy. They said I would have to wait to get the nails redone, I explained I did not have time, but really did not want to waste another hour of my life if the third time it was going to bubble again. He said something must be wrong with my body, that was why the nails had bubbled. SERIOUSLY! Why not just admit their shortcomings. The manager was not sympathetic and I asked if I could return the gift certificate, since something has change there and the outcome is no longer favorable. He first refused and said no way. I asked to speak to the owner, he said the owner lives in CA, then I asked to speak to the manager, he said he was the manager. When I agreed to re-schedule a 3rd re-do on my nails (at a different time), and no refund on the new gift certificate, a petite woman spoke to the manager in Vietnamese and must have told him to give me a refund on the gift certificate, but no re-do on my nails. I took the refund on the new gift certificate and decided it was not worth fighting over the re-do of a third nail polish application, mostly because I felt they would bubble a third time. I will likely never be back. I feel that if you are not a "regular customer" you get the rush job, maybe they are better with those who support them on a more consistent basis. Upon searching on the internet, it appears that bubbling can occur when you do not wait for each layer to dry, which is exactly how I felt, rushed, "lets get you out of here". Too bad, I did like the place, but not this time. read more

Thank you for taking Momma and I before the party of 8. She loves her pedi-mani. She said she slept better. Thank you very much!!! See you in a month!!! We're getting the Deluxe Pedi!!! read more

I walked in a few days ago and was told I didn't need an appointment. When I came back on Thurs. I was told to come back in an hour. No problem. i went to the gym. When I returned there was chaos. People waiting who had appointments, 2 women who were also told to come back in an hour and said, "You told us that an hour ago." Phones ringing that they don't answer, but message service announces their name to the salon. No smiles and people working there--2 men & 2 women--were so rude. Walked me from pedi polish change to light dryers without shoes. Unsanitary! No help getting shoes back on so I smeared the polish. We had 2 manis and 1 polish change and it came to over $50 because I still tipped. They need management assistance. Very poorly run. Everyone waiting was disgusted. Terrible experience. read more

Terrible. That's the only word that I could use to describe this nail salon. As I first walked in, it seemed like a nice and relaxing environment, but little did I know was that I had decided to come to the worst nail salon in Santa Fe. The lady that tended to me had red hair and she was just awful. She didn't understand what I had wanted in the first place, even though I made an appointment for it. Then after I argued with her for 5 min, she finally agreed to do what I wanted, but was mean about it. She reminded of a 5 year old who didn't get what they want, so they have to throw a fit. Terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am sorry to say that I did not have a good experience. I was in town for my son's wedding and was treating my daughter, mom and mother -in-law (and myself) to mani/pedi's. I arranged for a 10am appointment and the shop insisted that I call to confirm three days prior, which I did. When I arrived, they only could seat two of us at a time. The biggest issue is that all four of us had issues with the nail polish bubbling up about 30 minutes after it dried. It happened on all of us! I called the shop and they asked that we come back, which my daughter and I did, and the same thing happened a second time. I am very upset that I spent over $160 for terrible jobs that had to be removed. read more

We went here for my cousin's wedding, and on first impression, it looked like any other, plain 'ol nail salon. Little did I know I'd be getting the worst manicure and pedicure of my life, at an extremely high price. My cuticles were pushed back far, and needed Aquaphor for about a week to heal. I received no color, or even a clear coat, and it was $45. They spoke about how expensive Santa Fe was to live, but with the price gouging and lack of services Nail Experts provide, I think they're making out just fine... PLEASE, do yourself a favor and research other salons in the area before coming here. read more

I tried here for 2 reasons: (1) I felt that the place I had been going was starting to nickel and dime me for every little thing; and (2) it was voted Best of Santa Fe in the SFReporter poll. First thing, places win in SFR poll if their customers vote, and sometimes places have customers who just don't vote. All personal opinion. Think American Idol. I had a nice manicurist who did a good job but didn't get all of the previous shellac off one or two nails. Mostly, not entirely. The work she did was good though and not rushed. They have free wifi but it is password protected so you have to ask for it, I didn't bother. I was surprised at the cost: shellac pedicure $56 + tax. The shellac manicure is $36+tax. Why exactly is the pedicure $20 more? Pedicures are always more, but $20?? And though I always do shellac now because I feel I get the value out of it lasting much longer in better condition, I thought $56 was very high. I recently got a shellac pedicure in the San Francisco Bay Area where everything is expensive and it was the same price. Guess I just expect Santa Fe to be less. To be fair, I wasn't so impressed and I think I'll go back to my old place. It's fair to say that what I perceived as "nickel and diming" me was probably just the old place's owner itemizing how she comes to the cost ($ for shellac polish, $ to remove polish, etc). Maybe here at Nail Experts they just bundle it in and tell you one amount. I probably just need someone to explain to me why shellac is THAT much more as the process (other than removing polish which takes longer) isn't any different. All in all, I won't go back here. There wasn't anything different enough to warrant the higher price. read more

They were great at accommodating us for a same day appt before leaving town. They were very friendly and did a great job! Clean and not a really strong smell in the place like some nail salons. About a 15min drive from the plaza. read more

Unlike 2 other salons, I didn't have to wait for an appointment. When I walked in, two men were ready to give me a manicure; I requested a woman and was immediately taken care of by her, with no fuss or bother. Very good manicure. Salon is bright and clean. I'd visit again. read more

I used to go to this salon often. Have not had time to pamper myself lately and went back a few months ago. Worst mani/pedi ever. Distracted employees, the male tech had terribly cracked hands and cut my cuticle and acted like it was my fault. I gave it one more try and I received another bleeding cut on my cuticle, which ,10 days later, is still red and not healed. As a Registered Nurse, I see poorly cleaned instruments and a salon that has hit a downward spiral. Never again! read more

"quickest" mani/pedi I've ever received and not in a good way. I go to get a manicure because I want my cuticles cleaned up and my nails to be filed properly and trimmed...the actual NAILS to be manicured. I also don't think I've ever received a less enthusiastic massage. read more

For the money- not worth it AT ALL!!!! Took my husband with me for his first pedi and for my birthday. Told the people that. They did as little as possible to hurry up and get us out the door. All they did was cut our nails and paint them. No massage or relaxing therapeutic technics. Very disappointed. Not sure why in the world they're ranked number one in Santa Fe.... read more

Probably one of the worst gel manicures I've ever had! I was visiting from out of town so I wasn't able to go to my usual place and I figured a gel polish is simple enough. I read that this place was one of the best of Santa Fe so I decided to stop in before my upscale dinner reservations that evening. My nails looked like they were done by a small child! The guy who did them painted onto my skin so they were peeling the next day. I know what a good job looks like and this was NOT it! Horrible job and more expensive than most places. read more

I went back to nail experts the day following my unacceptable gel polish, & Ben the very nice manager then greeted me, but he gave me over to one of his women associates, who was completely unfriendly and chatting away in Vietnamese to the other workers the entire time that she worked on my nails. She did a fairly nice job, but the way she treated me was as if the bad nail job was actually my fault! when she was done she currently and abruptly got up and left and disappeared. if I were to go back I would definitely ask for an appointment with Ben, he was cordial and seemed to be diligent and pay attention to the customer who he was working on, whose table was across from the one where I was sitting. read more

This was truly the worst pedicure of my life. I went with my daughter on a Friday afternoon and they seemed determined to get us through a deluxe pedicure in 20 min each since people were waiting. My polish looks as if I applied it myself, or actually more as if I had an 8 year old apply it for me. there are places where it is clear an uneven single layer was applied and you can see the nail underneath. It is quite patchy. In other places the polish is applied to the skin as well as the nails on the smaller toenails. It is already peeling. My daughter's polish had bubbles in it and it started to chip the next day. I had gone once previously and received a nice pedicure. So disappointing, at 41 dollars apiece, to receive this low level of service and a pedicure lasting less than 2 days for each of us after an initially positive experience read more

Walked in on a whim, being from out of town, and was very happy with the service. They even did a second color for free because my daughter didn't like the first one that she chose. Decent prices too. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been a client here for years now. Because I'm a regular, I have my own box of tools that is used only on me. There is a spa sensibility here. I especially love that there is no TV in the salon. Family-owned and operated, the environment is comfortable and friendly. My daughter has grown up here and is treated like family when she comes with me. It's very sweet. I consider myself pretty picky and wouldn't be a client for so long it it weren't for the quality of service and rapport. read more
