I had my nails done by Tammy. She suggested I go the bio gel route to look more natural since I wanted the coffin shape. They turned out amazing. She took her time to make sure my nails were consistent and matched the length of both hands together. She made nice conversation and was very informative about the process. The salon itself is very busy, so don't try to walk in, definitely call first. And ask for Tammy, she's awesome! A little pricey, but being from a smaller town that was to be expected. read more

It really depends what nail tech you get, but one girl in particular is absolutely awful. She did my nails a few months ago and did such a bad job I switched salons. I went back because my new salon we booked and it will be my last time going. I wanted to get my acrylic set taken off and put bio gel on my natural nails. I am not exaggerating when I say she ripped off the acrylic nails. She aggressively sanded them down and then shoved a fake nail between my nail and the acrylic nail and ripped it off. She was so aggressive that one nail ripped a chunk off my own nail off and started bleeding. She told me that was because "my nails were so thin" when it was really because she didn't want to soak my nails in acetone or sand them down so that they would be thin enough to pop off with the fake nail. I obviously didn't stick around to get my bio gel done, and she proceeded to walk me to the cash desk to make sure I didn't tell anyone what had happened or see that my finger was bleeding. I normally love this place, but my last experience was...not great. I'll give credit, I didn't have an appointment and they were busy, and they managed to squeeze me in, but that's where things went from good to WTF? I haven't had a manicure in ages, and I came in with very long, natural nails, with the exception that the two middle nails had broken the week earlier and were a third the length of the others. They grow fairly square, which I'm not a fan of - I prefer an almond (not full stiletto), and is what the girls here normally give me with no problem - long and flattering. So the guy doing my nails asks what I want - I say shellac, almond shape, keeping most of the length on all the other nails. I said I didn't mind if the two middles nails were a lot shorter than the others, and asked he just try to get the shape as similar as possible. He looks at me like I'm an idiot. "Almond?" Yeah, like a pointy oval...almond shaped. "They look pretty square now." Yeah, that's why I want you to shape them. "The other ones are really short". Yeah, we discussed this; just do your best on those ones and we'll let them grow back. He trims my cuticles, starts to shape them...I look down and he's cut half the length off the nails on one hand. Bam. At least a month's worth of growth, gone. Great. When I point this out, he says "Yeah, but the middle one is shorter". Again, this shouldn't be news to you! This is going great. Well I guess now we have to do the same to the other hand. Now I'm watching closely, and I notice he's leaving them LONGER on the other hand, so now they look extra weird. Short and square one hand, longer and sorta oval other hand is a thing I hope. When I point this out he says, and I'm not kidding, "you said you wanted them a different length; I'll have to trim them to match them up." Pretty sure that's what I'm paying you for! Then he says, "hey, you just tell me what you want." Not only did I already do that, twice, I think we can all agree it's a little late now, champ. My long natural nails are gone, and my fingers look short and fat with a manicure from a toddler. At this point I pretty much just leave my body, waiting for it to be over. Could I have complained? Sure, but you know and I know I would have come across as a jerk. Besides, I had already made it pretty clear I wasn't happy. Am I saying you should never come here? No, Tammy, Kim & the other ladies are great. But if one of the guys tries to do your nails, ask for someone else. I'm livid right now. I went their twice before and it was pretty good, expensive but good. So I went back last Sunday and I paid A LOT, that I don't care about as long as the quality is there. First I started off with one technician and then halfway through my appointment switched people which was irritating but not only that, the woman who took over half assed my nails. I have sections where she didn't even put on the top coat. After less than I week I had 2 nails start splitting so I went back, AGAIN they started me with one lady and then switched so I'm already super pissed at this point. The second lady I got this time not only was rude but both nails she did look SO half assed. Last time I got sparkles on the tips and it was a very defined line, this time they're everywhere and there's no defined line. The sparkles even go all over my nail rather than just at the top. I REALLY wanted to give this place a second chance but my god did they screw it up even more. Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service from a place. The first time I went in, the lady did my nails and she was a little snobby but I didn't really care. I asked for an acrylic set and they were longer so she told me it would be 5$ more.. ok cool. She asked me partway through if I wanted shellac finish and I said no only acrylic, so she continued and finished. I go to pay and my total comes to 50$!! Wtf.. a full set of acrylic nails are 29$ plus 5$ for the length should be 34$ plus tax.., I didn't have time to argue because I was late for work and left. I only realized a week later when one of my nails nail polish CRACKED OPEN and I went to get it fixed elsewhere that she put the SHELLAC finish on my nails AND CHARGED ME FOR IT. I guess maybe she misheard me so I decided to go back for a fill maybe a month later and I had a gentleman doing my nails. They saw me 15 minutes after my schedule appointment... and when he finished taking the shellac off I noticed that two of my nails were really grown out (the picture posted is of one of the grown out nails) and so I asked him if he could please remove those two nails and put a new one on.. after arguing with me for 5 minutes about how it would take too long and some bullshit about not being able to do it with shellac (after I told him multiple times it was acrylic nails and an acrylic fill) he repeatedly said no I gave up and just said fuck it and fill them (I've never once had someone tell me they wouldn't fix my nails even if I was willing to pay extra) moving on.. so he asks me 2-3 times if I want to shorten the length and I told him no because I had filed them down the other day, so as he's filling my nails I noticed that my left middle finger nail was a lot longer than my right middle finger so I asked him if he could please shave down just the middle left to match my right and I shit you not he looks at me and says "so you want me to shorten it like I already asked you before and you said no" both my sister and I were shocked at the level of rudeness.. I asked politely for ONE nail to be shortened and I got sass from him. How unprofessional. By the time he was done I didn't want to be there at all and if I didn't have somewhere to be I would have left from the start. THE TOPPING ON THE CAKE THOUGH. I go to pay.. and an acrylic fill is 21$, plus 10$ for shellac nail polish (because apparently they don't have black in regular nail-polish) so 21+10= 31$ right? I go to pay and it comes to 36$ plus tax and when I question it the lady tells me that it's an extra 5$ for a fill because of my length!! What!! What on EARTH does length have to do on a fill that's at the top of my nails?! He didn't even tell me that from the start! This place is an absolute scam and will charge you extra without you even knowing. Never again will I go here. Worst experience of my life and I've been getting my nails done for 10 years. I don't know why this salon has scheduled appointments at all when they accept all walk-ins to the detriment of the scheduled ones! It's great that you wanna treat everyone equally, but if you have to many people-you just can't! I had an appointment for a mani, pedi and eyebrow shaping and I was practically rushed out the door. There were a lot of walk-ins and the place was really busy. After my mani and pedi were done they handed me the bill before I could say I had an eyebrow shaping too! After which I was so angry I didn't even want to stay there for longer than needed. I heard good things about this salon, that they do the best manicure in Burlington and I wanted a manicure that I cannot do myself. I chose a polka dot design which was not hard for a professional to accomplish. There were a few details, like not all fingers had the same size of dots and there was a little pink heart on each. The girl took a 2 second look at the photo and then proclaimed that she doesn't need to look at it anymore. I was a little impressed by that at first, thinking that this place is going to live up to its standard. But she just wanted to get me out of the chair faster. She did a terrible job of it! She did all the dots the same size in a random pattern (polka dot is not random!) and the hearts are more like pink blobs, there is one that kinda looks like a heart but that's all! My mani looks like my artistic teenage sister did it not a professional with a high reputation! I have to add, that a day after I posted this review, I received a phone call from the owner of the spa. He personally apologized for their mistake and offered me either to come back for another manicure on the house or to receive a full refund for the one I had. Where do I start?!! We arrived at the salon in Burlington and were greeted by a friendly nail technician. Not the receptionist (will tell you more about her later!). It was an appointment for three manicures. Two of which were ombre and one was a French manicure. The technicians each asked us what we wanted and we showed pictures of what we wanted and two out of the three went to work on the nails as requested. The one male nail tech was ridiculous! First he didn't LISTEN at all to what was asked, he didn't even want to LISTEN. He didn't TRY to understand that the person (my daughter!) wanted a pink ombre with clitter and since her nails were really long wanted them shaped. She asked for them to be a square shape. Since we had gone there many, many times before and she had NEVER had any problems with this request, she was surprised that this guy just wasn't getting it!!! He kept looking at her and responding to her in such an arrogant way that you could instantly tell that he didn't give a sh*t about getting it right for his client! He started doing the work and when it came to shaping it she asked him again to clean up the nail so they were the same length (these were her natural nails!) and square them off. His response was that he couldn't do this because it would make the nails too short. Really??? Her nails had more than enough length to cut down a bit, which she informed him she didn't have a problem with him doing, as long as they were even and squared off. He didn't LISTEN!!!! My other daughter and I were very happy with our ladies that worked on our nails. We received the service that we always have received at this location - Great Service! My other poor daughter got his arrogant, useless technician who needs to get retrained on how to do nail work properly and actually LISTEN and CARE about what his PAYING customer wants!! Then the icing on the cake was that when I went to pay for the service the receptionist was a total snob! If she even attempted to crack a smile it would be too much for her! I remember going there and the receptionist was friendly, approachable, and actually looked her customers in the eye and get this! SHE SMILED!!! She muttered what the total was so incoherently (oh sorry, this is a big word, she may not understand it's meaning!) that I had to ask her to repeat the total. Which by the way was over $100 (You'd think you'd be grateful that you have customers coming in and paying you any amount, let alone a nice amount like that!). She didn't repeat it when asked! She just pointed the calculator in my direction!!! So I asked her again. She finally told me the total again. I paid and she didn't even have the decency to say "Thank you!". (Where do these people come from??) I had to also ask her if I got a receipt? You should have seen the look on her face when she actually had to grab a pen and write out a receipt! You can't make this sh*t up! Who does she think she is? Really? My dear you are not that special! Its too bad that these people work at this location. Everybody here is skilled and friendly. I requested special gel extension decorated nails to pamper myself on my birthday. They did a good job and the outcome is what I wanted. The only downside is they charge for every little things. If they have to do a little more extra work than usual, they'll charge like it's nobody's business. My experience there was terrible. starting from wait until paying, at the front desk which is almost half a meter in size and crowded with people for both waiting and payment!! she rushed really quickly using her calculator and told me I was owing them a certain figure, something like 200 +, it didn't set right in my brain, I knew there is some sort of "frauding" I told her excuse me can I have the calculator and we do calculations slowely, owner , a very disturbingly acting guy, came running ambushed the girl and in a threatening voice told her "is there a problem here" she said no. I re-calculated the charges plus taxes, they added an extra $70 into my actual charge. I have been getting "SNS dipping powder" on my nails for almost a year now at this amazing salon in Etobicoke (New Diva) but my technician wasn't available and I was in desperate need of the service. I called dozens of places in the GTA with no luck and finally came across Nail Experts which confirmed they offered "dipping powder" nails. I was so excited that I had located a salon that offered the service and couldn't wait to try it out. Today I drove 45min in the snow from Etobicoke to Burlington only to find out that they only carry 2 "dipping powder" options: a horrible beige colour or clear!!!??? To make things worse, it soon became evident that the technician barely knew about the product. I asked her about the application procedure and she did not know about the 3 step technique, but I tried to keep an open mind and thought perhaps this powder was different and only required one step. I reluctantly let her try it on my pinky nail, but it soon became clear that this was not what I was expecting. After apologizing several times, she removed the powder she applied to the one nail. In an effort to salvage the appointment she tried offering shellac and biogel several time, but I refused to use any of the alternative options that require UV lamps. The whole point of switching to "dipping powder nails" is that they are organic and don't require UV exposure! After wasting over an hour in the salon, I left with only clear polish in utter disappointment. read more

I have now gone to this salon twice and am thrilled with the results! Christine has done my manicure twice and it is professional and beautiful. Rachel did my pedicure and after 2 weeks the results are still perfect. The salon is very clean and well organized. I think they really understand their business and customer service. I will be trying Christine and her eyelash extensions as I believe the quality to be as good as everything else I've tried. Nail Experts and Spa was recommended to me through a friend. I usually stick to my one Salon (HT Nails) who always does an amazing job. I decided to try something new even though they are 30min away from me. Once I got my nails done from Sophie, I was very pleased with the results. Once i got home i noticed bubbling in BOTH my thumbs and one of my middle fingers. I was little annoyed seeing as i paid around $80 for my nails (i paid for a certain design). I told myself i would ignore it because the business was just too far to drive back to. A few days later the actual bio gel colouring peeled off my thumbs and left me with no colour leaving my with a smeared nail. I called the company back and they agreed to redo only 2 of my nails (my two thumbs). I drove all the way back to burlington to to get them fixed, ONLY to have the thumb bubble again the same night. I've never been so disappointed at a nail technician in my life. I didn't get his name, but honestly so disappointed. I was so excited to go here because I literally planned on getting my nails done at this salon for months but never had the time because I live in Oakville, approx 25 mins away. I finally had the time and decided to get a shellac change. At the start everything was perfect I got greeted nicely and was quickly paired with a technician. I told her that I just wanted a nude nail and I wanted to keep the shape and length I already had because it was already perfectly how I wanted them and now I'm just working on increasing the length. I don't get extensions anymore because my nails grow rectangular and long like extensions which is exactly how I've always wanted them. I finally achieved the look I wanted and didn't want them changed. She managed to keep everything perfectly intact and then asked me if I wanted to add some glitter. I said sure and asked her to ombré it. I liked how she did them but for some reason she thought I didn't and proceeded to ask if I wanted it changed. I kept saying no it's ok but she still insisted I change it. During the time I was trying to explain to her that I'm okay with it another technician comes out of nowhere asking what the problem is. I said nothings wrong we're just discussing the glitter. The lady continued and said that I wanted a more vibrant glitter. At this point I was tired and I was okay with seeing the options since this man was convinced I didn't like my nails. The lady stepped aside and the man started buffing down my nails with a drill and removing her work. I think he wasn't aware that they were my real nails because he started to burn my nails... then he proceeded to show me what the glitter looked like so I could see if it was okay. I liked the choice so I approved and I knew I could change them later anyways. The man proceeds to do the part that pissed me off the most. He starts filing my nails and I quickly stop him and tell him not to change my shape. He was like don't worry I know I'm not changing them I'm just cleaning them up... he did not "just clean them up". He ruined the shape of my nails, removed literally half of my length (I have pics to prove) and he made one hands nails longer than the other. I took so long to get my nails to my preferred shape and in an instant he ruined them because he thought he knew best. Literally before he ruined my nails I got so many compliments from the lady next to me on my real nails and from my friends and instantly he made them look weird. I know it's a stupid thing to be upset about, but if you heard how arrogant he was you would understand why I was pissed. He even apologized for his behaviour when he noticed I was upset and said thats just how he is. I don't vocalize when I'm upset but this just pissed me off. I don't mind my nails right now but they aren't how I like them and I think I have to start all over again by chopping them off. I do like the salon and I think the workers definitely have talent but they need to cater to their customers. I'm thankful that they cared so much about what I thought but the arrogance and messing up my nail shape unnecessarily wasn't needed. I have never written a bad review, but after constantly looking at my uneven horribly shaped nails I get really angry all over again at the thought of restarting.
