Nice job on my nails! Not sure why they were low rated, but they took me right away on a walk in - and had everything you would need from a nail salon - aside from provided beverages. They do regular nails, gel, and dip... also waxing. I came in for gel nails, but the color I liked was a "dip" color and so I thought I'd try it. The guy who did my nails seemed like he knew what he was doing and took great care removing the remaining gel from my nails and doing all the steps to make the dip color shiny and fantastic. Like gel, you walk away with dry nails, which I like. I also had waxing done on the fly, and surprisingly they did it from a pedicure chair. But whatever, it was fast and I was happy. Pretty sure they don't do full body wax... just facial stuff. I would go here again. And considering I had been to another fancier nail / salon place in Zona Rosa earlier that day to get a $60 pedicure and about four cups of fancy lemon water in a wine glass (but they didn't do gel nails)... I'm pretty comfortable in saying their prices aren't bad for a quality product. I spent about the same in total for my single pedicure at the fancy place as I did here on 1) removal of gel color 2) dip nails 3) lip and sideburn waxing. read more

This used to be an amazing nail salon but over the years they've increased their prices while diminishing the quality. I come in to get a gel fill with rhinestones on every finger. The lady swears up and down she can do rhinestones but within hours of leaving the salon, they're falling off! I've been getting my nails done like this for 6+ years now and I've had every trend you can think of so I know that when rhinestones are done RIGHT they can last 2 weeks+. By the next morning all my rhinestones were almost gone so I call the salon and tell them about it. They tell me to come back. I can't come back the day I called because I have a life outside the nail salon so I come the next day (within 48 hours of the initial appointment) and the lady catches an attitude! She tries gluing on another way which still results in the rhinestones falling off within a day. And I paid $60 for this! Note: This was from about 2 months ago. read more

Not great but not the worst- I've been serval times and it's sort of a hit or miss. Not displeased but not super satisfied.

I was expecting a terrible experience at this nail salon because of all the negative reviews I read about it. I decided to give it a try though because of it's convenient location and my dire need for a manicure. So, after my window shopping at Zona Rosa I stopped by Nail Envogue and had a great experience! I didn't have an appointment and had to wait about 10-15 minutes because they were busy, and well... I didn't have an appointment so no reason to get upset about that one. Anyway, I got a basic manicure by a young gentleman who was so polite, paid great attention to detail and supplied great conversation. He simply did a fantastic job and I was pleased. The total was $15 and I thought that was about right. Annnnnd, it's been 5 whole days and my nails have yet to chip, which is a record in my book for a plain jane manicure. I'll definitely be coming back! Also to note: I used the restroom after my appointment and it was very clean. Definitely bonus points as I'm kind of a clean freak :) read more

Owner states in reply to my review that I wanted them to use blade to remove callous. Nope. Not what I asked for. I asked for a metal file like EVERY OTHER NAIL SALON uses. It goes into an autoclave. Hooks to a mixer. ‍ I mentioned in my original review that this place did get me right in, but they did a crappy job. They didn't even file my toenails after cutting them. If the owner is going to reply, he should have an idea of what the real situation was. Yes, the girl doing my pedicure kept thinking I was asking for a blade. I kept telling her that, no, that's not allowed for several years. But, sure. Use that nasty pumice that was used on a hundred other people and can't be sanitized. ok so I give this place three stars due to the décor and the lovely lively staff here. I believe I got acrylic with a gel overlay and it was just as much as a gel set which I couldn't get because the man who does it was booked. If you ask me this is very over priced. If your looking to get your Mani and Pedi done at the same time, I would ask before they start because they will make you do them separately. I was on a small bit of a time schedule, and assuming I asked for both they would do both at the same time but didn't. My gel overlay looked nice until a couple days after doing the regular stuff a wife would do. Chipping and peeling up. To my surprise my whole gel overlay came up without any struggle from peeling a orange!! what in the world. Came clean off as if it was never painted. Bittersweet i can paint it again without dark stains but if this is possible, I learned not to get this again or maybe not from this place. My short set was $45..wooo smh I got the Pedi with a sea salt rub that was $30 and I felt it was rushed, which made me think about the $5 cheaper one as it stated "short on time, quick Pedi" something like this. Wondering how much faster was that compared to the deluxe I requested. mmmm. I absolutely fell in love with the place and art they had all around, even the clock was a coo looking shape. I just didnt fall in love with the work that is done here. I also witness a loyal customer who broke literally 8 nails in a week span and kept coming back and looked so sad. Then they charged me 95.00 for the service and then when I checked my account it was charged 103.00. So you charge 8.00 to use my card. I call bullshit. First and last time. Will never go back. Not the worst, but also not great enough to return. The signature pedicure sounded like it would be a more inclusive treatment, but it was just a normal, nothing special pedicure. The massage wasn't as long as the description sounded like it would and there wasn't much attention given to the details or feet treatment. I then got acrylic with gel on top for my manicure, and asked for oval, but got square. The acrylic also has bumps, isn't very smooth throughout. read more

Got a gift certificate from my hubby for Christmas. Decided to get a full set. ($48) seemed unreasonable given the fact there are several nice salons close by. 1) I sit, ask for a full set, my nails have not been manicured for months. Cuticles are a mess etc, the girl grinds the naps then grabs the glue and fits the first nail, I stop her. I ask are you going to file them? She said no....I said they need to be trimmed and filed before they are fitted. SHE HANDS ME A FILE to do it MYSELF 2) After I file my own nails...... She grabs the glue again, I said wait, wait, are you going to trim my cuticles so the acrylic doesn't pop off. She said no we don't do that. I said for $48 you don't even from the nails prior to slapping the nails on? She digs in her mani stuff and HANDS ME a cuticle pusher. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!? WHO does this!? I asked to speak the the manager/owner I asked about the lack of service for an overpriced full set. He said I could purchase a mani prior to the set, seriously?! I asked him if I could turn my gift certificate in and get my money back, I did not want their services. He was quick to give me my money back and tell me to leave. I live within walking distance of the salon so I quite literally walk-in most of the time. They can get extremely busy so on a weekends though, so I try to call ahead if I'm wanting to go Fri/Sat. They have a nice selection of colors, A+ massage pedicure chairs and a nice atmosphere. Their prices are comparable to those in the area and I think they're faster than Pink and White Nail, more up to date than Adore and have better techs than Q Nails (except for one guy who everyone wants). I get the Signature Mani/Pedi with regular polish and have never had any issues with applications that weren't related to my own wear and tear. I have also never found the salon to be in disarray or unclean by any means and was really surprised to see that in another review. It's an enjoyable experience when I visit, I'd recommend them. read more

I have given this place a fair shake, but it is safe to say regardless of how desperately I need my nails done I won't go back. The first time I went they didn't listen to my request - ruined my nails and still insisted I pay because they "did the best they could". They couldn't fix them because there wasn't enough time with the store closing in 30 minutes. This last time, I came in 45 minutes to closing. The whole staff was sitting with no customers. When I kindly asked for service, I was rudely told "No. We've already cleaned. There isn't enough time." Customer service is key and this place lacks it - severely. read more

This was my first visit; I came in for a fill on an acrylic overlay. The tech does the fill work very quickly and when he's filing out he goes so fast that he keeps filing my cuticles, even breaking skin! I said "ouch" out of reaction and when I pointed it out he ignored me and did it again on 3 more fingers! Then when it comes filing he changes my shape from rounded to square. I know this sounds minor but it really irritates me when the nail tech assumes something without asking to confirm. I don't know why he would change the shape, my nails didn't even look remotely squared. Afterwards when I was done I asked if he needed me to move of if I could continue sitting next to my mother-in-law. He said it was no problem as there was no one else waiting. After not making any conversation for 10 minutes with me (ignoring me and playing on his cell) - no big deal as I'm talking to my MIL - he interrupts our conversation to ask if I want gel polish on my toes. My second pet peeve at nail salons.... I came for one service, if I wanted another I would ask! I know my complaints seem minuscule and honestly they wouldn't have been such a big deal had the tech not been rude the whole time and completed such choppy work. I was out visiting my SO and decided to get a mani/pedi while he napped, and am very glad that this was the first result on my google search. This salon is much better then the one that I visit where I live, and I am very satisfied with the results. I was sat with Ty, and not only did he go above and beyond with the manicure, he did an amazing job with my pedicure, and the massage portion was especially lovely. Don't waste your time or money. I have been going here for about 2 years, and have never had a problem - until now. The nail tech did not listen to me, proceeded to completely ruin my nails, and then told me that if I hold my hand a certain way, you can't see the issue I pointed out. Are you freaking kidding me? I'm slightly upset with my most recent visit. I went in to have my acrylics taken off, one of the ladies told me to get gel manicure on after, it would come out to be $36. I decided I just wanted to let my nails breathe so I had her do a manicure with no polish. I was assuming it would be around $15/20 maximum. Once she got done she told me it was $25 and then I left a 20% tip ($5) just to be courteous. But really, for a few more dollars I could've had a full gel manicure. I have been coming here for several years and now I feel like I've been ripped off. :( read more

Do not waste your time and come here. We made a reservation for ten people, showed up and they only had us down for two. The only reason I gave this place two starts is because they ended up getting all of us in-over a two hour span. Anyways, the staff are constantly talking in a foreign language. I mean constantly, you'll see. Another bothersome thing is there were no noticeable sanitizing stations as there normally is at a nail spa. I was not asked what manicure package I wanted instead was charged for a $30.00 manicure and did not receive the full service as the other girls did. Lastly, the place is not very clean. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon ( peak time), waited a very few minutes and sat down and enjoyed a blissful 40 minutes of pampering and enjoyable conversation. ( Jackie) was a hoot and a wealth of info for me and a very popular technician. So call ahead and very worthwhile.Being new to Kansas City I needed as many pointers as possible and boy was she informed. She bypassed a couple of her regulars and continued servicing me since they hadn't made appointments either. When a young girl comes in and asks to have only one hand done because their other hand doesn't have fingers, there are many ways to make that young customer feel comfortable. Instead, the awful nail tech needed to see the hand, then laughed uncontrollably, to the point she asked if she could have a minute, because she could't stop laughing. When the young girl's mother called she was told her daughter was lying, as if anyone would make that up. No apology was given. Just awful. I've known this little girl her entire life and I've seen many many examples of love and compassion given to her because of her hand. Never going to this place again! A mani/pedi should be relaxing...not at this place! Throughout the entire appointment the man doing my nails kept pushing my feet or would wiggle my fingers telling me to relax, saying I can't do my job if you're so stiff! I go get my nails done every two weeks and never had this done/ said before. His demeanor and behavior made me fully concentrate on what HE was doing vs. relaxing. I requested the highest level of treatment for him to slap the scrub and lotion all over...my legs, the floor and even my pants to then have my legs covered in trash bags to absorb the stuff he put on my legs. Even the massage was weak as he barely paid attention to what he was doing while he carrying on with the next employee. I asked for an additional coat of the clear coat and dude about lost his mind. So I always prefer to do business within Zona Rosa where my office is, but I'm going to have to vent about this business. My family and I have come to Nail Envogue for years until the customer service started going downhill. We switched to a different nail salon, but my daughter got a gift card for her birthday back to Nail Envogue, so my daughter, husband, and myself thought we would give it a try again. BIG mistake. Customer service worse, gave my daughter and I selections for gel colors only to tell us that those colors weren't available. Choices went from about 35 colors to 17. The topper is their prices have increased by 20% at least. Too say the least we will not be back! read more

The employees at Nail envogue always do an excellent job! The negative reviews were very surprising to read, and I'm assuming they're just old. Everyone is very detailed oriented and thorough. The facility is also clean. I've been helped by several different people, and the service is consistent! Also an added bonus that they are friendly and remember my name/ job/ etc. the only downside is a wait on weekends, but during the week the wait time is usually 10 minutes or less without an appointment. I don't know what people expect these days for mani/pedis but all the hateful and poorly reviews are just wrong. I just recently moved to kc and live right behind zona rosa so i gave this place a try.. I made an appointment and just had to wait about 5min for a gel manicure and pedicure. My tech Diane was very nice and knew exactly what i wanted, also paid attention to my hangnails and callus on my toes. I am a person who is very picky about colors and she helped me very sincerely!! I would recommend this place and ignore all the other reviews. ----bonus is they recently remodeled the whole salon and it looks great! Restrooms and supplies are clean read more

Your experience here is sole based on the Tech that you get or request. If you do not make an appointment expect to wait up to 40 minutes during the busier times and at least 15 minutes otherwise. Nice salon with some very sweet people but every place has its bad points. Make an appointment, plan ahead and ask for who you want and you wont have a bad experience here. read more

I usually go to Hanh for my acrylic. She is the best there ask for her and you will be happy. I've tried other techs and the only other I'd suggest is Diane. The dip powder didn't work after a couple of tries and they didn't try to charge me anything when I said I wanted to change back to acrylic. Best advice, request the above two and you'll be good. read more
