I really dig this spot, even more so after another nail salon practically drilled off my nails entirely to the point where they are basically paper nubs. (Hint, they are in the same plaza! Beware.) Anyway, I went in today and showed them my wrecked set and told them I wasn't even sure what they'd be able to do with them. They gave me a lovely gelx set. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I walked in with what would probably be a nightmare to most, and left with a beautiful set and a plan to rehab my nails while keeping them looking in tip top shape. I used to try different salons depending on what city I'm in - always hitting up the 4/5 star places to try them out. Once I found nail design I stopped. I now purposefully will wait longer, even it means have not as beautiful nails, so I can make it back to this place. After leaving, my nails feel strong & my gel manicure lasts for at least 3 weeks. I've been coming to Nail design since they opened and after a while of not having been able to visit them I finally made it back! This nail salon is everything I need when I go to get my nails done. It's super clean, nice ambiance, the staff is always super friendly and always make you feel welcomed! They're extremely gentle and engaging. The owners, Van and Rosie are very sweet! If I could press zero stars, I would. I have never left a review on a business but they will over charge you and wait till after the service to tell you. I asked for acrylic nail polish on my full set and she she they don't do acrylics on full sets? I have NEVER heard this and should've been informed before the service so I was forced to pay 65$ for the shortest acrylics. Go elsewhere if you want good service for a reasonable price. read more

I am very dissapointed of the service. I went there 2 weeks ago to get fill on my acrylic nails with gel top. Scheduled an appointment the day before, arrives on time they didnt have my name or info and sit me down with someone who s newer doing nails. (other lady said sorry i have to take the customer with appointment!?) After telling the guy what i would like on my nails especially marble, he showed different designs and brushed it off. After an hour of service ( doesnt include shaping under the nails, and even out the topest layer, also not marble design) this is what I've received( pictures attached). I told the guy, this is not marble and i said i want marble- he said oh i can't do marble! Like seriously!??? So, week and half later, the gel nail is already falling off starting from the side. I have been trying to find good nail salons around Marietta for a while and this place is the 3rd one that i'm very dissapointed with. read more

Since moving to GA I have had to switch nail salons at least 5x b/c good nail techs seem to move around a lot! With that being said I decided to try Nail Design strictly off their reviews and close location to my home. I got a pedicure and SNS manicure on Thursday morning 10/25/18. Besides doing great work the ladies that did my services were nice! They both called me by my 1st name like they had known me for years, they laughed with me and we had great conversations. Their customer service was impeccable and I cannot say that about most nail salons. My nail techs were Shelly (nails) and Thea (toes). I am a little picky on how I like things done and neither of them batted an eyelash at my requests. I really didn't have to say much of anything because they're both great at their craft! This place is terrible. Every time you go in there the manager is extremely rude and she has taught her employees to turn customers away. They are also extremely racist towards black people. We are treated way different than the rest of the customers in the establishment, if you get my drift. Every time I walk in to get my nails done they say "can you come back tomorrow" NO! I can't come back tomorrow. I came in today! Don't put you except walk in appointments when you turn customers away when they walk in - in a rudely manner especially the black customers like myself! This place sucks so bad I don't even know where to start. Now as far as what your nails will look like when you leave, yes, they will look good. However, I got acrylic gel nails and they literally started falling off about a week and a half into having them. And when I say falling off, I literally mean I could pull the nail off without any damage to my nail bed. So I am assuming that the products they use are extremely cheap, so I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I guarantee you I will never be back. read more

I got the $30 shellac gel acryllic manicure! I felt like my nails were a mess so I wanted to go during my stay here and check out nail salons in atl. The price is well deserved. I picked a baby pinkish color since Im still in the summer mood. Dreading winter's arrival. Anyway the place is very clean, and standard. Nothingg fancy. My nail tech didn't bat an eye at my obviously under cared for tootsies, he had no problem giving them some extra TLC, since getting a professional pedicure regularly is not on my priority list. Even put my shoes for me at the end so I didn't get my gorgeous pedicure messed up. Would give them 6 stars if I could. Very calm place and the staff was very conscientious, they always seemed aware of the customers wanting them to be content. Their manicures were in high demand too. I absolutely love the Nail Design ladies and team! I started coming here while I was in college and have been coming back ever since. I even make the drive from Vinings to continue getting my nails done here. I can't say enough positive things about them. I get acrylics with a gel polish on top and it runs about $30. Loyalty counts with them. As I've gotten to know the team, they have no problem staying late or coming in early to make an exception. If there's any slight con, expect your appointment to start 10-15 minutes after the scheduled time. With the massive amount of drop ins they have, they tend to run a little behind. It helps to get there early so they know you're actually going to show up. I can't count the number of times they've waited for a person to show up and lost walk in business from it. read more

I've only been once today was my first day. I'd say my overall experience was average. Nothing too great nor too bad. I had acrylics on so they had to remove it. That was lengthier than usual. First they soaked my nails and that didn't work fully so she used two different tools to slowly take pieces of the acrylic nails off. My nails were in pretty bad shape when she took it off- that isn't necessarily her fault (I know what acrylics can do) when we finally got to the painting part it seemed like she was painting over flaky nails like she didn't buffer enough. My nails just look kind of messy. I give it at three because it could be a solitary incident. Will try once more and update my review read more

So....I'm not one to leave a bad review but I went to this place to get my nails done for the first time because I wanted them to look nice for Easter....however I will say the lady was very nice, it's just my nails were super bulky when I left and I got charged 15 dollars extra for fairy dust that only cost about 7 bucks on Amazon or at a nail supply store and the lady even though nice did not give me the shape I asked for which was coffin.
