Today's visit was everything I planned for, and more! I know that especially in the summer, we ladies like to get our nails and/or pedis done ahead of a busy Saturday; so I made an appointment a few days in advance with Kelly. I arrived a few minutes early but the timing was just right because she ran the hot water in the foot spa for me while finishing her other client. I love to sit & soak while getting my shiatsu massage. The salon was clean and tidy as usual, and, they added a new drying station. As I was drying my toes, a rainstorm hit us hard in that area. I don't know how much, but in a 20 to 30-minute window of time, the parking lot quickly flood. All of a sudden, the owner surprised me with a golf-size umbrella and offered to walk me to my car. I was so taken by her kindness--who does that these days! We walked together slowly, balancing on the outer rim of the grassy median so our feet wouldn't get wet. It was awesome! I have been coming to this nail place for a LONG TIME & at least once a month with my daughter to get tips and dip for $35!! My daughter is 10 and she's been getting her nails done since she was 7 with Daniel. I show up today and they decide to change pricing and told me that it is now $45 and that Danny was not there today. Just DON'T. Terrible customer service. Most of the techs now cannot do nails. The manager KIM will not offer any refund and you'll have to argue to try to get some sort of service to make up for the poor job that is done. I went for a pedicure and manicure. The technician doing the pedicure, Daniel, painted my nails so chunky that after an hour+ it still did not dry and ended up with smudges and holes. The "hot towel" on the legs came after the lotion and during the nail painting... what?! And the sandals were not put on. They put on the cheap spa sandals and then told me to put on my sandals after the polish was applied. The acrylics are a joke. All my nails are different lengths, they are so thick that they look like pebbles, the matte nail polish was NOT evenly distributed, the nails were so chunky and thick with acrylic I had to chip it away from under my nails. My cuticles and nails were not manicured. No. As soon as I sat, he sanded my nails and applied tips. The ends of my nails don't even have polish! Management must have changed because the service is HORRIBLE and EXPENSIVE for what? A crap job and a nice chandelier to look at? GO ANYWHERE ELSE unless you don't care about your nails. Just went there for a pedicure as I often have. The price has always been $28 with not only the little pumice stone for callus but MOST important the grating tool that takes off the callus. I asked the gal to use the tool and she insisted it would be $5 more. I asked another operator in the shop. She said 'you pay whatever she wants.' NO CONSISTENCY. I also brought my own polishes. A guy that works there (perhaps one of the owners) was arguing at the checkout with another woman that was dismayed with what she was charged. She was also a returning customer. He yelled at her to get to out and not come back. He raised his voice and told me the same thing. So I said to him I PROMISE I won't be back (and I would pass info. on to my friends). Of course decided not to have my eyebrows waxed as planned and the gal did my pedi didn't get a tip. Customer service the worst I've ever experienced and they should be reported (and I will) to the health dept. as the place has gotten so dirty since I've been. I have been coming to Nail Depot at Sawgrass for the past couple of years now, and their service never ceases to amaze me. The receptionist kindly greeted me upon entering and inquired about the services I was interested in. After a short wait, Nancy took me over to start with my pedicure. It's pleasant seeing the level of cleanliness the salon offers. As you're seated in the massage chairs, they put plastic liners on the spa tub mixed with sanitizing and moisturizer tablets for your feet to soak in. They do offer beverages upon request. After soaking my feet, the nail technician Nancy tended to trimming my nails and cuticles before apply oils and having my feet soak briefly again. She then followed up with an exfoliating scrub on my legs and buffed away any calluses with a pumice sponge. Nancy then rinsed and dried off my feet, before applying a soothing blue gel to my legs prior to wrapping my legs with warm steamed towels. Afterwards the tub was drained, she assisted me in getting my sandals on and went to work on applying the coats of polish. Per her recommendation I had chosen a pale pink titled 'ballet slipper' #60 from the DND brand and I am most definitely pleased. Once finished she showed me over to Brian the technician who would be doing my manicure. I had gone in for a full set along with the pedicure. Brian greeted me in a friendly manner and I showed him the example of how I would like my nails to be done. He suggested a more square tip, for the style I was looking for and I agreed. There was light conversation as he went ahead and started to do my nails. Brian made sure to not only make me feel welcomed, but checked in often with me to make sure my nails were coming out exactly as I wanted. The overall atmosphere of the salon was nice. There was soft music playing in the background, and it wasn't too busy. When it was time to pay there was no issue with processing my payment or applying a tip on the card, which some salons don't allow. Both my manicure and pedicure came out amazing and I definitely would recommend this salon to anyone looking to get their nails done at an affordable price. I walked in several times on the weekend and had varying levels of quality service. The first time I made an appointment they clearly didn't actually schedule it and I waited 20 minutes for just anyone to be available. My nails were just okay and I had the time so I wasn't too upset. I made a second appointment and specified a technician since my nails did not last from my prior visit. My dip was cracking and lifting. Once again it seemed like making an appointment was a waste of time. 10 minutes after my appointment time the technician allegedly scheduled takes someone who was already waiting when I got there. I went to Brian he's the manager of the salon he's very nice my nails looked great but two of my nails broke in a matter of 3-4 days. I went back to fix the first nail and Brian did it no problem.
