I went in to get my gel polish replaced, I asked for chrome and if they had it to which they responded yes. The owner then told the individual doing my nails, no we aren't doing chrome today on her nails because I didn't have an appointment. I decided to just get white then, my nails look horrible. They look like a two year old painted them and then I paid $35. i would not recommend and will not be going back. read more

This site made me give a rating. If it were my choice it would be a negative 100 and then some. I recently went to this place with healthy nails. A man there did my nails and used a wide cone shaped instrument to file underneath my nails. When he did that he separated my nails from my nails beds. I ended up with a raging nail fungus infection. Absolutely horrible. I took off the gel to find my fingernails disintegrating- literally peeling. I am trying to treat them conservatively but may need to call my doc for oral medications. It's that bad. I have attached pictures. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR YOUR NAIL CARE!! The do not autoclave their instruments either. Awful and dirty. They dip them in alcohol only and only briefly. I will drive a distance to get my nails done in the future. When I can eventually get them done again!! read more

Shop Appearance is not clean therefore I also question their sanitation practices. Employees are not friendly and seem to not really care about the quality of the service. Received substandard pedicures which I had to pay a deposit on when I made the appointment because I made three appointments at the same time. They conveniently forgot to give me my deposit back or give me a credit when I paid. Employees often talk to each in another language while they're working on you Instead of talking to you, which makes you feel weird and uncomfortable. Back in February I wrote a very good review of this nail salon. However, I have since changed my mind. What changed my mind? Recently, my sister was completely embarrassed in front of everyone when she was told at the register that she would have to pay an additional amount of money for her pedicure. She was not informed beforehand, rather, afterwards, of this additional charge. The salon tech said this loud enough so that both patrons and employees looked up, stopped what they were doing, and stared at my sister. My sister did not think this was fair but the young lady stated that at other salons if something extra needs to be done, they would charge an additional fee. My sister was disgusted but paid and left. She told me she would NEVER again go back to this place. She went to Star Nails and asked what they would charge her for a pedicure. The reply? The normal price, like everyone else...NOT EXTRA. Judges ruling? *nasty, loud sound* Nail Care loses! I've read where some people feel professionalism is lacking and that when they do not speak English more than likely they are talking about the clients. I have to agree; my sister and I both have felt a bit uncomfortable at times. Mainly what irked me though was watching employees kids running around all over the place, and making a mess. I was considering going back to this nail salon as I don't do this very often, but after reading the FOUR reviews here, I am agreeing with the reviews that you are left behind and forgotten, you are talked about, not in English, and you can definitely tell they are speaking about you. It was my first time there and I was NOT impressed. I tried small talk to warm things up and that is when they started talking among themselves and giggling. I was left at the dryer and no one told me I was ready to leave. I finally just got up and walked to counter. Unimpressed with the service, quality, and professionalism. It is out of sheer proximity that I have visited this business 3 times, but at this point, I am happy to drive for an excellent & quality manicure. The primary reason for the 1 star rating? The technicians are VERY stuck in their ways of doing nails. Goodness forbid that you make a simple request outside of that... or you are met with scowls, disrespect, and being talked down to. I have never experienced this before in any nail salon! I will not be returning, nor recommending this salon to anyone. Specific example: My nails are natural and healthy, and I have had many wonderful (regular & gel) manicures in the past. I am, however, quite sensitive to acetone after prolonged exposure (not an uncommon phenomenon). Knowing this and needing to have a gel manicure removed, I politely attempted to request that my nails not be wrapped and left that way for 15+ minutes (as they have tried with me, and done with other customers in the past). The primary woman of the shop frowned and instead of asking me for clarification, began speaking to her neighboring colleagues. The gentleman asked me what I meant, half-heartedly listening, then tells me that I should not get gel manicures. Meanwhile, she gets up without speaking to me and leaves the room entirely. I'm then ushered to sit elsewhere to get my pedicure done first instead. Once the pedicure is done, by a very pleasant newer woman (really the only reason that I stayed), I was seated back at the manicure area with a third technician this time. She also seemed rather annoyed with my request and treated me as if I was inconveniencing them. Finally, the gel I came in with is removed. The gentleman took over. I wanted a simple gel French manicure. He proceeded to, without asking me, do a technique I was unfamiliar with. I've not had a dip powder manicure before, and when I asked earnest questions, he was very dismissive. Comments included "oh this is better for your nails," "this is better than gel, trust me," "don't worry about it," "I know better." I really should have snatched my hands away at this point. I was simply mortified by the whole experience. Fast forward through the remainder of this terrible and unprofessional experience... I recently wound up going to a FANTASTIC salon in Madison, with a focus on healthy nurturing nail care. All of the technicians were stunned by how thick the dip powder had been applied. It took 52 minutes of careful removal of that junk! As an aside, I too agree with the review that is listed as "not recommended" at the end of this salon's profile. They are very warm and kind with select regular local customers, and act very cold and near bothered by newer customers. Borders on catty & unpleasant. read more

First and Last time going here...made a 4:30 appt for my daughter to get a simple nail color change, had to wait more than 45 minutes to get waited on. Then the whole time the man was working on her nails he was dissing the work that had been previously done on them.mind you she got them done in another salon,BUT, she has been going to That salon for more than a year. The pedicure was good but I was abandoned before finished for the next appointment and somelse finished. Set at drying station and forgotten. Seems their regular customers are more important than attracting new one. Was considering making this a regular stop but not sure at this point. read more
