I have been going to the Nail Bar for over 6 months. I feel it is a little pricey, but there have always done a good job, and I get designs on my toes and nails, and they don't make a fuss about doing it.( Usually a flower or polka dots.) I always get a gel manicure and regular pedicure. However, after my experience yesterday I will not be going back. I'm going to my daughter's bachelorette weekend in a few days, so I asked for a design on my nails to go with the theme. Sean, the owner and person who did my nails, told me there wasn't time for anyone to do that design, so I quickly pivoted and instead did a Mediterranean/lemon design for my daughters bridal shower next weekend. I paid $130 for the gel nails with a design and a regular pedicure. I left a $20 tip, so $150 was the total cost. I noticed that a few of my nails leaned a little to the side, but they were busy so I left. I then sat in my car and stewed for a few minutes, and finally went back in. When I pay $150 for a service, I want it to look good. Especially since I got my nails done for 2 upcoming special events. The salon was packed full with clients and workers, it was very busy for a Sunday afternoon. I walked up to Sean and politely asked him if there was anyone that had time then, or the next day after I was done working to fix my index fingernail (The worst offender) as it was leaning to the left. Without even looking up from the women's nails he was working on, he said, "That's not the nail that's crooked. It's your finger. I've noticed it before." I thought he was joking so I looked down at him more closely but he didn't even look up... he was dead serious. I said, " Ummm..... I have never noticed my finger to be crooked before?" He still said nothing , so I left. It was really embarrassing. I Felt humiliated. The whole salon had become silent so they could listen to our conversation. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for the past 25 years, so no, fingers are not perfect. I have joint damage which is one of the reasons I get my nails done so that my nails are at least pretty. But the nail was crooked, not my finger!!! I'm not sure if he was making fun of my arthritic fingers or he just didn't want to fix my nail or what? Frankly, I'm very baffled. A business owner refuses to fix an obvious mistake that he had just done five minutes before? And then he insulted me by telling me my finger is crooked. The pictures of the blue nails are what was done yesterday. The 2 sets of yellow were done in March and June. The red, lady big nails were done in May. Does my index finger look crooked to you?!?!? When I pay $150 for my nails for a special event in my life, I expect them to look great. I don't appreciate being gas lit and insulted. read more

I scheduled and mani/pedi, last week. The man that completed my services was rough and hurried. My appointment was early and it was not busy so no reason to rush. Did not ask what kind of pedicure I wanted. The nail polish on my fingers started falling off after 2 days! Not chipping, but the whole nail polish came off in ONE piece. I've never experienced that. Recommend only using the women here as I've had good experiences with them. read more

Omg the people in here are so sweet! My friend was visiting and wanted to get a nail appointment, but my usual girl is booked up. I had my gel removed and had a new gel pedi done. She had an acrylic fill. I called a day in advance and they had plenty of open slots for appointments. I'd definitely recommend an appointment because people started piling in after us. So many color options. I did gel with a holographic powder. $55 for a pedicure that was perfectly done in about 35 minutes, wasn't bad at all. My friend's acrylics only took 40 minutes, if that, and she loved the outcome. To top it all off, I left my debit card there. Thank the Lord I thought to call, because they held onto it and let my husband pick it up for me! 5 star service! read more

I used to really enjoy my visits but I think it's time to find a new place to get my toes done. Today's visit. 1. Cold water and when I asked to get hot water I was told it's early and it's cold. This is not acceptable. 2. The nail techs, especially mine, was more concerned with loudly gossiping than paying attention to what she was doing. She ignored me the entire time. I wanted to like this place and I did, at first. The pedicure itself *felt* great! I won't use the name because the pedicurist was very nice but I hope this review will be used to provide better work overall there in the future as I'm sure this individual isn't the only one who does it. The pedicurist noticed I had an ingrown toenail and asked if I'd like it removed, and perhaps the issue is that I said yes. The ingrown was removed and at first I had a lot of relief but not for long. It started oozing, became painful and swollen leading to a $600 ER visit with the diagnosis of acute paronychia, and antibiotics prescribed. From what I'm reading, it's not appropriate for these places to remove ingrown toenails so I highly recommend saying NO THANK YOU and going to a PODIATRIST instead. read more

I recently relocated from South Bay LA to Las Vegas, and I was concerned about finding my beautification team. I had a selection of hand picked artists in California that I'd been to regularly for years because I'm picky... once I find who gets my aesthetic and with whom I feel comfy, I stay with them until I can't. My mom used to patron Nail Bar but hasn't been getting her nails done for the past couple of years. I tried another place closer to my new home and it was NOT a fit. So once my aunt vouched for her nail-caregiver here, Lee, I figured I'd give him a try. Mr. Lee was not available the day of my appointment, and my mom said Ms. Ivy was always great when she had her. I appreciate the gel nail color selection here. I wear my nails "plain" because of an upcoming business venture, and their selection of natural hues - especially for melanin rich skin - is impressive. Ms. Ivy listened to all my concerns... soft gel doesn't stay on my nails anymore, I don't like thick nails, I like narrow square shape, and I don't want to have to get a fill more frequently than every three weeks. She listened. She picked a color from the ones to which I'd narrowed down. She asked how I liked everything as she went along. And I loved my nails! I get hot gel nails here. It has changed my nails so positively! I never could keep gel or dips on my nails for longer than 10 days. These last for 3 weeks and don't wreck your nails like acrylic nails. read more

I'm really sad to write this review. For the last 3 years this was my favorite nail spot. I came in every couple weeks to get my nails done and get my daughter a pedicure. The last 2 times I had my nails done they broke and the repairs were notable different. However, my biggest grievance is my 8 year old has toe fungus from her pedicure here!!! Staff is very friendly when you arrive for your appointment. If you check in, you can get points towards money off your 10th appointment. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure and removal. They were super efficient and got me out the same time as my friend by doing the road off and file while I was doing my pedicure. I came to Nail Bar off and on for about 2 years. My nails get pretty weak after wearing gel polish for more than few months in a row, I have to remove the polish, and then I have to stop coming in until they heal. When I do get them done at Nail Bar, it is pretty consistent quality and customer service. Not super awesome, but not horrible either. I always called ahead for my appointment and usually was able to get in the same day. I enjoyed my pedicures each time I had one. Employees were patient with my requests/desires to how I wanted my toes to be treated. I called to make a same-day appointment. So, make an appointment - just FYI. Just from walking from the parking lot to the storefront, I already had a feeling that this isn't going to end the way I would like for it to be. There was a gentleman sitting in the front; apparently having a break, which I understand. Then, there comes this lady who just busts out the door in a highlighter pink zip-up hoodie, marijuana symbol on her facemask, and black leggings abruptly shouts, "SLEEPING ON THE JOB? The sign is on the ground and you didn't do anything about it". At first, I didn't think she worked there by the way she was dressed, but apparently, she does. I checked in, and it seemed like they weren't ready for me...? They seemed flustered to figure out who would be doing my pedicure for my "appointment". The gentleman who did my pedicure didn't talk much, which I don't mind at all. I'm an introvert myself. Everything was going well until I noticed that he didn't really cut my nails well. I have nails that are ingrown, but he pretty much didn't alleviate this. Instead, he kept shaped my nails. The next strike was the pumice scrub when he felt like he was doing his best to remove my calloused heels, but in the end, I still had callouses. There wasn't anything that was recommended to remedy this, and I knew he noticed because he felt my heels after the scrub but didn't do anything about it. If you're like me and have heels that callous and crack, make sure they scrub longer. Otherwise, the cuticle cutting and massage part was decent. So, wrapping it up - He was exclaimed, "OK. THANK YOU!", and patted my legs. He said for me to wait 15 minutes (I got acrylic). I sat in the massage chair for like 3 minutes, and he put my slippers on for me, lifted the armrest suggesting that that was the end of my appointment. The whole vibe here wasn't the greatest. It wasn't an establishment that was aware that employees' demeanors can influence how confident their clients feel about the service and business they provide. I mean, I don't mind being casual, but there should be boundaries and standards. read more

Adhere to all the negative reviews. The atmosphere is appeasing to the eye but the work is atrocious. I came in for a pedicure and the tech (older woman) immediately started to cut all of my nails off beyond the nail bed with a cuticle cutter. No questions asked about shape or cut. I noticed half my nail was removed and the cut was uneven. I even bled. I addressed the issue and nobody apologized or tried to correct it. I refused any further work. I went there a few years back a few times they did a fair job but the third time I went. They decided they had to raise the price. But couldn't tell me until after they were all done at that point I was stuck. I found a much better place, Crystal Nails on the other side of the 95. Between the Albertsons and Pizza Hut. Jimmy is a true artist and one of the very few in the city that knows how to work with hard gel AND make them spectacular. The pedicures look ok. All the manicures look terrible. They even left skin hanging around the cuticles. The polish started peeling the next day! All three the same! My second experience was not even close the the first impression I had. Customer service was was horrible this time. I was seated Immediately with no available nail techs, so I waited in the water for a long time. I stared to feel overheated sitting in the warm water & they have no a/c going just the door propped open, I asked for water & they came back with a tiny bottle. Did not offer me the same upgrade pedicure, that I was hoping for & wouldve gotten if they offered. My pedicure felt super rushed, & didn't put my shoes back on before painting my nails making me sit there for unnecessary time, overall annoyed. So far loving this place found on yelp & decided to give a try , walked in w/o apt & was seated right away. Had a good amount of colors to choose from. Came in just for a pedi & I love that they use disposable spa liners & open a new pumice for everyone. Ivy did my pedi, She sold me on a pedi in a box for $40 kinda pricey but I think it's worth it. She gave me a soothing leg rub it was relaxing but her hands were just so gentle didn't feel like a massage but still it was great & did like 5 min each leg. They a have a point system so you keep coming back & earning points. Love that too. I'm so pleased with this experience I will come back here & I will recommend this salon to others read more
