There was no attention to detail at this salon.. my cuticles were not touched, they didn't smooth or shape my nails whatsoever leaving them rough to the touch.. there was nail polish all over the edges of my nail beds..the clear top coat didn't even fully cover all of my nails..and worst of all.. the polish COMPLETELY flaked away after 4 hours of being home!!! The last visit I made I had the pleasure of meeting Rose who I would have to say is probably the friendliest and most talented when it comes to nail art! I like to keep my nails fun and filled with design and I haven't been able to locate any nail salons in Oshawa that are able to do the marble effect however Rose did and she did an excellent job and made some great colour suggestions! Since then, my toe has been infected. I cannot wear shoes. I have gone through a tube of antibiotic cream and a 2-week supply of antibiotic pills from my doctor. I have an appointment to see a podiatrist and I may lose the nail. I just think a nail technician should mention that they're not qualified to do anything but cut and paint nails. When it comes to any type of ingrown toenail or problems, they should tell the customer instead of doing whatever for the 40 bucks.

I've been coming to this location for years and have accumulated enough points for at least two free manicure/pedicure services. I will not be returning to use them. Over the years, I've found the staff consistently unfriendly and the quality of service subpar. On multiple occasions, I've had to ask for basic parts of the service to be completed, such as having my cuticles properly pushed back. When I made these requests, I was sometimes met with an uncomfortable prolonged stare before the request was carried out in a noticeably aggressive manner. Despite being a long-term customer, I rarely left feeling that I received exactly what I asked for. I continued returning largely because I had accumulated points through their rewards program, but I've reached the point where even free services are not worth the experience. What has been particularly upsetting is the difference I've observed in how I was treated compared with other customers. For example, I watched staff warmly wish other clients "Merry Christmas" or "Happy New Year." When I offered the same greeting, I received responses such as, "Yeah, OK." They had attempted to overcharge me, and I have a habit of parking right in front of the door for easy access into the salon and when I would challenge them on the price showing them that it's not what's listed on their website and that I had respected the boundaries of the service They would look at the car that I was driving then look me up and down multiple times and in a very passive aggressive manner say "OK fine for you cheap". As a Black customer, after years of experiences like these, I came away feeling that I was treated differently and received a lower standard of service. I cannot speak to anyone else's experience, but I personally would not recommend this salon to other Black customers based on how I was treated. It is unfortunate because I remained a customer for years and gave this location many opportunities to provide a better experience. I won't be returning.
