Oh my god! How is there NOT a yelp review for Dr. Nagareda yet?
I was first introduced to Dr. Nagareda (referred by a family member) several years ago when I first moved to Gilroy. Despite having some pretty good dental insurance I'd gone through years of bad dentists and had reached the point where I just gave up. As a result when I first came to Dr. Nagareda I brought a host of significant dental problems with me. Dr. Nagareda's staff was absolutely polite and professional; from the very first visit they were nothing but kind and their entire approach was geared towards finding the best and most comfortable way to address my problems. As a result, today I have healthy teeth and I no longer dread going to the dentist.
Specifics:
Front Office - run by Debbie. Congenial and efficient. She makes it very easy to set up appointments convenient to your schedule - which since I now bring my entire family to this office is no easy task. Text, email, and appointment card reminders are available - any or all as you choose. VERY easy to work with for financial matters - whether it is coordinating insurance vs. copay, payment plans for large expenses, or even scheduling necessary procedures to take maximum legal advantage of your insurance coverage.
Hygienists and Assistants (Kim, Cindy, Nancy, Heidi, Pam, etc) - Friendly and skilled. VERY skilled. Once you start going regularly (and assuming you don't swap days around because the different staff have different days) you'll end up seeing the same Hygienist for your regular cleanings. The Hygienist I usually see (Kim) remembers all my dental quirks - from the specific tooth I have that is very sensitive (which she remembered better than I did!) to the fact that I prefer to do my own flossing after a cleaning.
The Man Himself - Dr. Eric Nagareda. Absolutely professional, and has to be hands down the best man with a needle and a drill you could hope for - and I had plenty of need for both. I can honestly say that despite all the work I needed to have done I never had a problem with pain, and that was certainly not the case before I came to his office. Dr. Nagareda uses top notch equipment and only the best products for his patients.
Customer service - as I've mentioned above, everyone in the office is friendly and pleasant and they are very easy to work with. Over many years now of appointments, I've only once had a problem - I got a crown, and as it turns out I have a very firm bite and I ended up breaking the crown after a few months. Dr. Nagareda absolutely stood behind his work and immediately ordered a stronger grade of crown than patients normally need at no additional cost to me - and considering how much a crown costs and that the problem was not a result of anything the Doctor did or did not do, I consider that absolutely exceptional customer service. Later when I needed an older crown replaced, the Doctor remembered my earlier problem and ordered the stronger grade crown again in order to avoid repeating the issue.
Finally, there are times when a specialist might be needed - Endodontist, Orthodontist, you name it. Dr. Nagareda has a web of such specialists with whom he has built relationships over many years, ensuring that if you need such a person (and I did, at times!) you'll end up meeting someone that has the same high standards that he maintains in his own office.
I don't know how much stronger of a referral I can offer, though, than to say this: I go there, my Wife goes there, and I take all of my kids there. Have for many years, and will for many more.
