Wow, 2026 Auction bidder meet 1985. They expect you to send in a FAX (yep) or an email with a copy of your credit card AND an an official ID. First, that stuff can be done online and has been possible for at least the last 20 years. And secondly, this stuff can easily be stolen when sent electronically. So they put the onus on you, the potential customer because they can't be bothered to join the 21st Century. And they are worried about being protected. Ahh, thanks hard pass for me. I called to verify this was the real case and it is. She thought the upside was you only have to do it once. Well let me see, if I need to do that every time I use a credit card, then I just won't do business there. I take credit cards for sales for business purposes in the thousands. I highly recommend them if you have valuable items to sell, or if you are looking to buy. It is a well-run, family business, with a friendly, professional staff. Another important consideration is they are honest, and you can feel confident in doing business with them. Attending their auctions is enjoyable because they post photos and descriptions on their website ahead of time, and provide several options for previewing the items in person. I just can't shop there anymore and bare to give them my heard earned money. They try to sell badly fake purses as real ones. I feel awful for the sucker that buys into it. I'd rather shop at a pawn shop or even out of the trunk of a strangers car in China town... at least then I'll know what I'm buying and can get a bargain. read more

A very good experience buying several items here over the last several years. Helpful staff always check us out quickly and once helped load a very ornery grandfather clock into the car with great care. Judging from our items, they screen things carefully and items are in good condition, photos posted online are trustworthy and any damage is not obscured. A great place! read more

Buyer beware!! This auction house seems to have some sort of deal with: UPS store 0921 & wepackandship which are the only ones they recommend. Both these entities charge about 5 times to pack & ship items. I independently got bids from other stores and found that a different UPS store invoiced at 1/5 the amount. (Just make sure that the owner is not the one of store 0921). Ps. apparently, I cannot list the one i went to as Yelp thinks its a promotion for that store and automatically removes the review. However, a quick google search in the area for UPS stores will identify them quickly. When my pick up rep Rick went to pick up my item, they seemed to be rude to him since he was not the ups store they had recommended. Very dissappointed by Nadeaus for this. Further investigation also shed light in that Craig from Ups store 0921 (the one recommended by Nadeaus) does not carry art insurance to handle artwork. If you win a bid at this auction get bids from other locations.....like myself, you won't be disappointed by an affordable price. read more

I am writing this both as an individual antique buyer and seller of antiques. I have had a positive experience with most of the auction houses in the NE including Winter Associates, Elreds, Freemans, Doyle and Great American. All of these auction houses treat their sellers and buyers honestly and professionally. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Nadeau's Auction Gallery in Windsor, CT. If you are interested in selling or purchasing antiques, I would recommend you use another auction house. Nadeau's has had many issues with mis-stated condition reports and poor customer and client service experience. I and other antique lovers that I know have all been treated unprofessionally by Nadeau's staff and when we sought to resolve the issue we were again treated rudely. As I mentioned the condition of many of the items that were purchased were not as indicated. If you are an antique lover you can do better than Nadeau's. read more

Anyone selling fine furniture do NOT use Nadeau's Auction House. They misrepresented themselves in the fact that they are specialist in selling Fine Furniture and other high-end pieces. We recently provided him with over $70,000 of top of the line, name brand, fine furniture and every items was in showroom condition. After all of his talk about what we can expect and his representation that he has millions of visitors to the site we had the company sell our furniture at Action May 2019. After his commission, pick up and handling fees we made a net profit of $4,540.95. That is a 6.2% of the $70,000. Initially after seeing our furniture during his sales call he told us the furniture would do extremely well and we could expect a 10 to 30% return on the sale. In fact, he offered us almost $8,000 to buy the furniture immediately without going to Auction. This company has no integrity to ensure your fine furniture is being sold properly and at the respectable price. They are a scam and out to sell any item for whatever they can get....They don't care and it shows by not using reserves BEWARE!!!! Go to a New York auction house and someone with a name or solid reputation to sell fine furniture. Don't get scammed like we did....... read more
