This is a very nice restaurant. It's inside the mall. But it's plenty big. Many booths and there are tables inside a nice large party room. Food was very quick to come to the table. The quality of the food was very good. Very large serving sizes and fair prices. We couldn't of been happier. The servers were all very friendly and helpful. The margaritas were delicious. It's a win-win win.

I loved the Chili Rellenos, all people in group enjoyed meal choices. A friendly staff gave good service a little pricey but worth it

While not as chic as a fine dining establishment in a metropolitan area like Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago or New York, it's as classy as it gets north of highway eight. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening - they could have accommodated us as walk-ins (and walk-ins are welcome) but I'd err on calling for a reservation and securing a table, especially on a popular day of the week. With a reservation we were promptly seated and waited on. I started with a dry martini and my wife picked a wine from a pretty decent wine list. It was a great martini--see my photos. Many of the items on the menu are what one would expect, but there were a few that piqued my interest, in particular the schnitzel. As a frequent visitor to the Austrian Tirol and Bavaria, I had to give it a try. My wife opted for salmon. The entrees included soup or salad. I went with lobster bisque and my wife went with chicken noodle soup. The bisque was rich and flavorful. Though the bread stick was out of a box as opposed to baked in house, it was an acceptable accompaniment to the soup. As for the entree, the schnitzel was prepared the way I like it--pan fried and not deep fried. With a properly breaded, seasoned and crispy crust, the pork itself was perfectly cooked. I could eat a schnitzel like this every day! The Spätzle was fine and the sauce tasted good but it was a little thin. The red cabbage was definitely sour but lacked the sweetness necessary to balance the acid. I'd suggest that the chef check out the red cabbage recipe from Alinea which has an excellent balance of sweet and sour. And one more suggestion to mimic the schnitzel I've had in the Tirol and Bavaria, a dollop of sweet jelly to spread on the cutlet--preferably a white wine jelly fortified with herbs like rosemary. That said, the dish was great and I would order it again. I only took a bite of my wife's entree, but the hollandaise and salmon was good. She especially liked the kale. To end the evening we shared a dessert. My wife makes a DG tiramisu and we've had some great tiramisu's in Italy. This one was right up there, though the espresso soaked lady fingers were a bit weak. Nevertheless, as you can see from my photo, we demolished it. A nice grappa or Tirolian schnapps would have been the perfect finale but alas the bar was not that well stocked. All in all a decent dinner, a place I will return to in the future, and a great addition to the culinary scene in the region.

Everything was great. Food drinks service all good. Highly recommend. Pleasant environment.read more

Last we must have gotten someone else's order, but didn't notice it before we were too far down the road to do anything about it. This time, the food was just bad. First off, they no longer serve Potato Cakes (my favorite Fast Food Side). So I ordered their new crinkle fries. Nothing special. Diane ordered a Brisket Sandwich. It was okay, but way too fatty. Several slices were like 95% fat. I ordered a Bacon and Swiss Crispy Chicken Sandwich with no sauce. It was loaded with a gross honey mustard sauce. Why do places insist on covering things that are supposed to be served crispy or crunchy in sauces? All it does is make them soggy and unappetizing! Our Jamocha Shakes both tasted like they were a mix of other flavors. Not sure how that would happen, but we both had the same comment. With tons of options on our way up north and two straight messed up visits, I doubt we ever go back. Maybe if they bring back the Potato Cakes!

I ordered a six piece chicken tender basket with white gravy and upgraded to a chocolate malt with extra, extra, extra malt powder. The tenders were crispy, not greasy and the white gravy was hot, not room temperature. My malt took me waaaay back to my childhood, the way a malt should taste. If you love the flavor of a malted milk ball you will love the Dairy Queen on Lincoln Street. My husband ordered one too but he's not that fond of a malt. He couldn't believe how delicious a chocolate malt could taste. I told him only Dairy Queen knows how to make a malt. The person at the register asked me, do you want extra, or extra extra or extra extra extra malt powder? Three times the charm. This Dairy Queen is the place families gather for great food and conversation. It's the high school hang out, or where anyone looking for a nostalgic memory of the 1950's malt shoppe with the best food and of course malts. The decor has been updated since the 50's and it definitely rates a 10 in cleanliness. I highly recommend stopping at the Rhinelander Dairy Queen on Lincoln Street, you will not be disappointed. The Rhinelander Dairy Queen checks all the boxes.
