We ordered two rice bowls with Chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, and dal. The food was bland unlike classic Indian dishes. Chicken and paneer were well cooked, but the gravy had no taste at all. The dal was ok, had very less spices. We ordered masala fries as well, and to my disappointment, I was given normal fries with the side of yogurt and tikka sauce. Their service was fast, but the food was a total disappointment!!

This place is totally ! I didn't know what to expect when I heard the name of the restaurant "Naanstop" because it was a play on the Indian bread "naan" but it didn't disappoint. I've been to cultural food spots like this that plays on fast food (think Mexican Chipotle or Korean Bibibop or Chinese Panda Express) but this place hands down keeps it authentic. The naan was suppurb and the choices of meats hit the spot. They were voted top samosa(think Indian egg roll with chick peas) of Atlanta. You start off choosing the type of entree you desire (bowl, naanwich, or salad). You then choose your meats (chicken Tikka masala, turkey kabob, lamb, chola(chickpea), Gobi(cauliflower) or Punjabi dal(lentil). On to the toppings like grilled onions and peppers, corn salad, cabbage slaw or spinach. Laslty you finish it off with chutney sauces which are either cool, sweet, medium or hot. They also had a great choice of beverages like mango lasi, chai tea as well as india's favorite soda, Thums up! Definitely would hit this spot up again when I return to Atlanta!

I ordered through Postmates & was not disappointed. I always used to stop by as a student at Georgia State between classes. Every time I get a Naanwich with Chicken Tikka. One of my favorite restaurants

Update, The shop owner reached out to me on the same day I posted my review. They were very considerate in their approach and took the necessary steps to address the issue. Despite this mistake, they showed great effort in rectifying it and even refunded me for the food. Initial review: Yesterday night, my family and I ordered a family meal for four from this restaurant. Unfortunately, when we got home and opened the order, we discovered that the rice and yogurt were spoiled. We had to throw them away. Since the shop had already closed for the night, we were unable to contact them. The next morning, we called the restaurant to inform them about the spoiled food, and we just didn't want this to happen to anyone else. We did not ask for a refund or anything else. However, the only response we received was an uncaring "OK" and "Oh, ok." Stay clear from this restaurant as they were perfectly happy to serve spoiled food.

A friend and I went to the Naanstop today to grab lunch after class. I got a white rice bowl with chicken tikka masala. It was great! I really enjoyed the yogurt and cilantro sauce. We also shared the Masala fries which were amazing. The restruant had a good vibe overall and the employees were very friendly and helpful. They also offer a student discount! Overall, I had a great expierence and would definitely come back.

Right from the start, we received a very warm welcome from the staff. We chose to sit indoors, although they also offer outdoor seating. To start, we tried their Tikki Margarita and a smoked cocktail. The Margarita was sweet but quite strong--definitely worth the money. We tried their "Rupee beer", which is a light larger and it was very hydrating. For appetizers, we highly recommend the lamb kebab, which comes in a portion of four pieces. For the main course, we had the lamb biryani, garlic naan, tandoori chicken, and paneer. The biryani and goat curry came beautifully wrapped in a dough. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the highlights were definitely the biryani and goat curry. For dessert, we had Pistachio Kulfi, which is essentially a frozen Indian-style ice cream. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time overall

This is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 3/5: The place from outside looks contemporary and chic. The bar looks inviting but as you enter the dining area, the place is dated. The decor looks shabby and I feel they should renovate for they have a reputation to maintain 2) Service 3/5: This was a hit and a miss for me. Though they are gracious enough to validate your parking, the service was at times good but at times slow and bad. One person was good at suggestions but the other person was really lazy. I went their for my birthday but they took about 10 minutes to get me a candle which was disappointing to say the least. 3) Food 4/5: This is where they excel. Although everything was pricey. The taste made up for it. We had: a) kaala khatta : This is basically shikanji but was refreshing b) mango chili mojito: My wife loved it. It tasted like you were eating raw mango with salt and chili powder. c) palak patta chaat - it was crispy and flavorful d) Chicken curry: Loved the taste. The accompanying rice was so less that it looked like a joke e) Chur chur naan and garlic naan: Pricey and ok f) Carrot halwa with ice cream: The combination was good but carrot halwa in general was ok. Tasted like the heated store bought frozen halwa 4) Value for money 3/5: Really pricey. The taste was look but for the amount, everything was pricey I would only return if I a really craving for Indian food with nothing in the vicinity and someone else is paying. You could actually see the saffron strands throughout the dish, which I loved because it showed attention to detail and quality ingredients. I also had the garlic naan, which was perfectly done -- flavorful without being overpowering -- and a side of raita with cucumber, which was super refreshing and balanced the richness of the butter chicken really well. Now for the service -- it was a bit slow, which I'm assuming was because we came close to closing time. Still, I would've expected things to move a little quicker since it wasn't as busy. My biggest concern though was the cleanliness of the dishes. They brought out additional plates and cutlery, but unfortunately, multiple plates were visibly dirty. After being offered a few that were all the same, I just chose to eat directly from my original dish and avoid using them altogether. That part was definitely disappointing and something that needs attention. Overall: * Food: 10/10 * Service: could be improved * Cleanliness: major concern with dishware I truly enjoyed the food and would come back for it, but I'd definitely hope to see improvements in cleanliness and overall service experience.

He seemed a bit frustrated early on until he finally let it go. Grateful he let it go because the naan wasn't even good enough to have more conversation around it. Then i wanted gulab jamun but they were closing so he offered me cold gulab to warm up in the microwave when i got home. i did not love that option and opted out. only reason im still giving this place 5 stars despite the service interaction is because ive dined out several times and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. besides from the music inside, no reason to dine in again.

I added the butter chicken to my biryani and added some of the green sauce from the samosa and Whoa it took the flavors to another level. We had enough for leftovers and it tasted just as good the next day. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Paneer, it said its cheese but tasted like tofu to me. An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!

The butter and tiki masala are the perfect level of spice for me and has a great kick. The butter naan is a must try! It is definitely worth the extra cost.

It's the right amount of spicy, and they nailed the flavor of the chicken. They also always have it ready super quick. I'm excited to try the flatbreads next time! It feels busy with the kiosks since they are placed where people usually line up to build their own. Still, you get your food fast. Good for students who don't have much time that want something quick. They've got some indoor seating, though it's a bit cramped, and outdoor seating. I got a bowl half salad, half rice with tikka masala and chicken tikka. I... don't recommend getting salad base. It works with other cuisines, but it doesn't work as well with Indian. Getting salad toppings works fine though. It's filling with the rice and feels healthier because of the vegetables. When I visited, they were out of some of their offerings, which surprised me. It was 12:30. It is hard to guesstimate how many people will come in for lunch, but I didn't expect them to be out of mint chutney... The kiosk also is not updated regularly. It will say they're out of certain things, but you can see what's available when building your own bowl without the kiosk.
