His receptionist, Anu, also is a very hard-working person helping me to solve many issues. Another dentist, from another location, asked me $10,000 to solve a problem. Dr. Tan solved it with only around $200. Many Thanks to Dr. Tam and his great team! Dumitru Popa.

Update.. clinic today tried to reach out to me. They tried talking to me after I left the review…read more STAY AWAY.. Well, here is my latest experience with this clinic. About three weeks ago, I called the office to make an appointment for my son with the new dentist who took over Dr. Tan's patients. My son was experiencing tooth pain, so I specifically asked that his tooth be examined. He was seen and was told that he needed a root canal. An appointment was made for approximately five days later. He was sent home without antibiotics or any other treatment to address the pain and inflammation before the procedure. Last week, my son went back for the root canal. They attempted to freeze the area with three injections, but the freezing was not working properly. At that point, I have serious questions about why the procedure continued rather than stopping and reassessing the situation. My son unfortunately did not speak up enough about how much pain he was experiencing, and they continued working on his tooth for approximately two hours. He was in a significant amount of pain during the procedure. After two hours, he was told to come back the following Thursday to finish the root canal. Before he left, he was also told that he might need to see a specialist. This is where I have even more questions. If the dentist was not comfortable completing the root canal or believed a specialist might be necessary, why wasn't that determination made before putting my son through two hours of a very painful procedure? My son came home swollen, in pain and extremely sore, and remained that way for several days. I contacted the clinic because I had questions and concerns about what happened. I spoke with the dental assistant, but I did not receive the answers or explanation I was looking for. I am extremely unhappy with how this situation was handled and, at this point, I would not feel comfortable bringing my son back to this clinic. On Monday, I requested that my son's records and X-rays be sent to another dentist because there was no way he was returning to this clinic. Later that same day, my son received a call from a specialist saying that Southgate Dental had referred him because they were not comfortable continuing to work on his tooth. If that was the case, why wasn't he referred to the specialist before putting him through two hours of a painful procedure? My son also told me that he did not feel the dentist was confident while working on him. The specialist told him he would need another X-ray and that payment would be required upfront. My son decided not to proceed there and made an appointment somewhere else. He saw another dentist today, and the experience was completely different. The dentist was confident that they could treat his tooth without referring him to a specialist and was able to move forward with getting the problem addressed. So I would like answers to some very important questions: Why was my son referred to a specialist after already undergoing two hours of a painful procedure? * Why did the dentist continue working on his tooth after three attempts to freeze the area were unsuccessful? * Why wasn't the situation reassessed before continuing with the procedure? * Why wasn't my son given antibiotics or another treatment plan at his initial appointment, if the dentist believed there was significant inflammation or infection that could interfere with treatment? * Why was he sent home after two hours of treatment without the root canal being completed? * And finally, I would like reimbursement for the amount my son was charged for the procedure last week, given that the treatment was not completed and he was subsequently referred elsewhere. I have tried to address my concerns directly with the clinic, but I have not received an explanation that satisfies me. My complaint is going much further than simply posting this review. I want answers and I want this situation properly addressed. This clinic has changed significantly since Dr. Tan left, and I am extremely disappointed with our experience.

I've been to five different dentist offices here in Edmonton, each one had its pros and cons but…read moreuniversity Dental was by far the best. Each time I have been the staff have been very friendly and kind. They answer all the questions I have about the process they will be doing on my teeth. The location is in a great spot and the building is very clean and kept proper. The only complaint I would have is that I had to sit for quite awhile in the waiting room before my apointment. Dr Fedoretz was very kind though and made great conversation while I was getting my dental work done. Overall super happy with university dental. I will continue to go here and get my teeth work done

I can't say enough great things about this dental office…read more Before I even went there, the receptionist over the phone was incredibly helpful and informative. She organized all of my insurance coverage, even calling them to get more information. I thought I had just got her on a good day. Nope! When I went in for my appt she was there and was just as awesome as well as all the wonderful ladies behind the desk. Not to mention they have the newest and coolest massage chair I've ever been in! So that gives them a 5 start just for that! Once all the insurance was cleared up and I went in for my appt it continued to be extremely enjoyable and fun. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He makes sure you understands everything. Not only is the doctor so smart and great but Lori my hygenist was equally as amazing. I have bad anxiety about pain and they did absolutely everything I could have asked for to keep the experience as enjoyable as possible. This is absolutely my neq dental office from now on and my husband and I will also be taking out children there because it is just that great!! So happy I found them!
