Their chicken breast box is the worse 100 dollars I have ever spent. Was shredded, cut, and mangled to the point of being unusable as a breast and needs to be cut up. I talked to someone and they said "other than being shredded it looked fine." Check the photo below to see if you would pay almost 4 dollars a pound for chicken like this. Comes in a box with four bags so who knows what you are getting until you open it.

To start off, it's not a very big market. They have a small bread section, a small produce section, a row of freezers for packaged frozen food, a small deli section, a row of canned goods and some beer and wine. Obviously, their crux is the meat. They have plenty of different cut/prepared raw meat you'll need for your cooking, as well as prepped meat for you to throw on a grill or oven for a quick dinner. We're a small family of three and I don't like to keep frozen meat at home. So having HoM nearby so that I can visit them for a very small portion of meat I need for everyday dinner cooking is great. I've used their ground beef, ground pork, pork chop, beef skirt steak and a few other novelty items and they've all worked out great. Similar to Trivia N's experience, I however, don't necessarily like their deli quality or selection. I much prefer to go to nearby Kroger or Meijer for the broader choices. Most of the time everyone is very friendly although I've run into a few with no personalities. After a handful of visits, I haven't found any alarming reasons to dislike them. In fact, I'll probably be going tonight to pick up a few pounds of beef short ribs to make dinner.

Brinkman's for years have canned their on meats - Turkey, Chicken, Beef and pork. All great and good. Also, Brinkman's has a nursery where you may purchase plants for your garden. Every time I travel through Findlay, this is a required stop to bring home goodies.

This market is newer (still, been here for decades, I think.) Plenty of parking. Open reasonable hours (till 7 most days.) Good produce, good butcher, good bakery. Lots of interesting dry goods, much of it local and/or Amish. And, of course, their famous canned meats. Turkey, chicken, pork, beef. Low salt versions. Big cans and little ones. They'll last for years, so stock some in the cupboard, or your tornado box, or your bomb shelter. They'll can your meat, too (deer, etc.) Friendly service. Prices are pretty high, but it's quality stuff, and a lot of it you won't find anywhere else. I saw pickled quail eggs; never seen those before. Huge gummi butterflies that Baby K loves. And Hires root beer- I haven't seen that in a store in 20 years.

Now that I'm back in the area it's nice to have Mosiers as a go to. We bought roasts there for the holidays, buy all of our steaks and chops there. Everything is great.
