Brinkman's for years have canned their on meats - Turkey, Chicken, Beef and pork. All great and good. Also, Brinkman's has a nursery where you may purchase plants for your garden. This market is newer (still, been here for decades, I think.) Plenty of parking. Open reasonable hours (till 7 most days.) Good produce, good butcher, good bakery. Lots of interesting dry goods, much of it local and/or Amish. And, of course, their famous canned meats. Turkey, chicken, pork, beef. Low salt versions. Big cans and little ones. They'll last for years, so stock some in the cupboard, or your tornado box, or your bomb shelter. They'll can your meat, too (deer, etc.) Friendly service. Prices are pretty high, but it's quality stuff, and a lot of it you won't find anywhere else. I saw pickled quail eggs; never seen those before. Huge gummi butterflies that Baby K loves. And Hires root beer- I haven't seen that in a store in 20 years.

Steaks, chuck roasts, ground beef, ribs, brisket, organ meats all packaged per our order and vacuumed packed all looked great! They have a beautiful display case and will cut everything to your specifications! Plenty of frozen items, seasoning and barbecue ru.......a great place and owner's family has been raising livestock for generations!

The prepared salads are good and reasonably priced. Their homemade summer sausage is good and can be sliced to whatever thickness you like. Their meats are fresh and well presented. There is a fresh case as well as frozen selections. Chicken, beef, pork, and seafood options are available. They have great Hawaiian brat patties. It's worth the drive.

Their chicken breast box is the worse 100 dollars I have ever spent. Was shredded, cut, and mangled to the point of being unusable as a breast and needs to be cut up. I talked to someone and they said "other than being shredded it looked fine." Check the photo below to see if you would pay almost 4 dollars a pound for chicken like this. Comes in a box with four bags so who knows what you are getting until you open it.

Bill prepares several cold cuts and sausages himself, like a good butcher does in Europe. The homemade liverwurst is outstanding and represents a difference of night and day compared to the processed stuff in supermarkets. The veal loafs are tasty and great as cold cut or in bigger pieces to sautee. Real black forest or Westphalia ham among other typical german sausages are available. The ground meat is prepared fresh and looks and tastes so much better than the processed and chlorine treated ground meat in super markets. The ham shanks or ox tails are excellent as well. If you like quality meat and cold cuts, that's the place to go. That's where we buy our meats and cuts. Btw, prices are very competitive.
