Location is great if you're after the lake and stuff. A few metro stations away from the shops and restaurants but it's ok. You make up for it by the view. Most of the rooms one way or another have a view of Lake Geneva. Most rooms are quite spacious; I came with two of my friends and their rooms were at different locations with different views but all were as spacious as mine. Their breakfast buffet is good too. Old faithful. The metro station (Ouchy-Olympique) is a block away, so any Swiss city is 5 metro stations away.. and then you're at Lausanne-Gare. Center of town (Lausanne-Flon) is another metro station after that. Nothing exotic but they hit all the important marks, eyes, fruits, parties, juices, serials, meats, etc. Upon check-in, they give you a metro card, good for the duration of your stay, which is nice. The staff of the hire is also super nice. It is also so fun to sit in the lobby and watch people come and go. You can bring a book and order stuff too (the bar is 10 feet away). So it's fun. I would definitely stay here next time.
Now for the slightly disappointing stuff. I care about the environment, so I don't throw away my towels everyday. This is especially true when I only spend a few hours in the room, sleeping. Also, I gave my do not disturb light on (using an additional key) so that the room is cleaned only once every two days. However, my fresh towels seem to disappear. Moreover, I noticed that their vacuum job isn't that good. Another bummer was their pillows. I sometimes travel with my own, tempur-pedic pillow--this time I didn't. The bed isn't that comfortable either. Maybe it was the pillow! Lastly, hotels usually supply you with a couple of water bottles every time they clean the room. This wasn't the case here. All of these are minor points. Like I said, it probably is the best hotel in town. read more
