I was on a trip for a week to Lausanne with my boyfriend and a friend and we stayed here, in two different rooms and ended up being on different floors, which wasn't terrible but a little weird at the same time. My boyfriend and I had asked for a room with a double bed but ended up with a room that had two twin beds pushed together, which was different but I am not sure if that's the way the hotel does things. The room, overall was spacious and comfortable, but the shower gave us a hard time with the glass that swung out and never stayed in one place. No matter how hard we tried, we always seemed to get water on the floor. The shower head, which was one you could hold in your hand, was also outside of the glass area and you couldn't hang it up without it being on the other end of where you would stand behind the glass. It was almost like you needed a second person to hold the shower head and rinse you off in order to prevent water getting on the floor. Weird. The front desk staff were really nice though. Checking out was a bit rough though. The clerk didn't quite understand that my boyfriend and I each had breakfast twice and she needed to have us pay, though we had originally already paid for the room when we booked it. Also, the friend we went with was having trouble with his credit card so I ended up paying for his room, and she didn't seem to grasp this concept either. Maybe it was a language issue but it all worked out in the end. Overall, I dont know if I would stay here again or somewhere else, but hey, a hotel is only meant to be slept in and not stay in all day so it did justice when it was time to sleep. read more
