This review is a little late, but I found the pictures in my phone and wanted to share my experience. I decided to try out Myx Blend Bar for my birthday in March 2020. So I want to point out that my experience was right before all the restrictions started. I had an amazing time. One of my guests had to bring her infant at the last minute and the shop and everyone there was so accommodating. I really wish I could remember the names of the 2 associates who helped my party because they were so nice, but to be honest, from what I noticed everyone was nice. I knew I wanted two items, a lipstick and lip gloss, but that's about it. The associate who helped me was patient and helpful and offered suggestions to get me exactly what I wanted. I left with a red matte lipstick and a nude shiny gloss. What's even better is that they save your choices so I was able to go back this year and purchase the same red matte lipstick without having to guess which ingredients I used to make it! There are a couple of photo opportunities there. It would be a lot better if they served hors d' oeuvres and beverages while you wait for your mix station. Basically you mix and blend colors until you have the tone of choice, add a scent, they liquify it in the microwave, pour it in a tube and place a sticker tag with your name of choice on the bottle and you're all done. $55 later, you have your own lip gloss/stick blend. read more

Amanda was amazing! She helped to make our experience extremely cool and fun. We decided to go with making a lipgloss( there's also a option to make lipstick as well). We first were given a lip scrub to exfoliate and clean our lips. After we exfoliated we were given a moisturizing lip cream to place on our lips while we decided on which colors we were going to pick for our glosses. Your given a glove and a mirror during this process. I chose a peach color with a hint of shimmer and extra shine. My daughter decided to go with a more nude shade with no shimmer but lots of shine. Once the colors were mixed ( you mix and stir it together) we got the chance to try them out before they bottled the lipgloss for us. We were able to add a few things like sunscreen, moisturizer or a few other things on the menu. You also get a chance to pick which kind of scent you'd like. Once all that is done they take the gloss heat it up and pour your gloss into a lipgloss tube. You get to decide a name and the sticker is placed in the bottom of your gloss. They also place it under the account your create so that you can go back and order your gloss whenever you the out. You can also send anyone you'd like the link if they want the color on your lips. Let me start by saying this will be long... Today me and my girl went to MYX and we were redeeming vouchers from the Houston location. I called beforehand and they said they were redeemable and we could pay the difference if we wanted anything else. Cool. So my friend arrives first and they tell her they can't find my reservation and that it's for the Houston location. I'm like ok that's weird. So I get there. I realized my email doesn't work without Internet. I notice that they had a "MYX Guest" option. The manager says no we aren't allowed to use it and that I can use Starbucks instead. I'm like ok. So I use starbacks wifi to pull up my reservation email. There it goes. It says Dallas location. So then I hand them my vouchers. The manager says that it's no way to tell that it was paid for. Huh?????? Why the hell would I have a random voucher if it wasn't already paid for? So I mentioned that it was from a party last year that two people didn't show up to. She's pausing to process. Understood. So I say.. is there anything I can do to help. (Meaning to call the Houston location) she doesn't answer. So I repeat myself and she says to follow me but in a rude way. I'm thinking... ok cool we are good now. No. We are seated. Asked if we want complementary drinks. We get our drinks. She comes back and says that our vouchers are used. Girl what???? And that her director can't find any record of those anywhere in their system. So I call the Houston location. They mentioned how they would call the Dallas location. They called worked it out. That was one hell of a process but by this time the vibe is off. The same girl that's giving attitude tries to be our mixologist. So I asked if she was ok because she gave us such a hard time. I guess I shouldn't have done that because it added fuel to the fire. She gives a condescending tone of how she didn't want to get in trouble. Which is all totally understandable (the explanation not the tone). I think she was frustrated and was taking it out on us. We weren't even matching her energy. So anyway, she asks if we want another mixologist and I said yes. We ended up getting two other ladies to help. Which led to a much more pleasurable experience. I'm disappointed in that managers behavior but it is what it is. Don't remember her name but she had big eyes and pink hair. She spoke with her eyes and body language and I am huge on energy. She had bad energy and no accountability. She actually started with a bad attitude upon our entry. But aside from her. Nice experience. If I were to go back. It wouldn't be this location. read more

We loved this place. It was a little pricey but a fun one time experience. Appropriate for preteen and up because you can make lip gloss. The sugar lip scrub is great and does the trick. The lip balm leaves your lips feeling soft and smooth. The lip balm was a little pricey to me. So be prepared to upgrade your package. The lipstick artist was great. She walked us through the different types of lipsticks we could make and helped us with the shading. We had a good time. Came here with with my cousins to celebrate my 25th! Camille, Leslie, Kailen met with us (a group of 7) to make our own custom lippies! Upon entry they took our temps, wore masks and had us sign in. We all used gloves and they prepared everything in front of us. They all took the time to explain why we need to use scrub 3x a week and let us try their samples. We all chose our colors and watched them make magic! All associates were experienced and very friendly. They were patient to explain the options and listened to our preferences. I had a cousin day here and took my 13 year old cousin. We absolutely enjoyed this place. It's very instagram worthy which she loved. They offer champagne which was a great touch. We both got the perfect nude for our lips and the lady that helped us picked the right color. We were also able to pick the scent as well and choose if we wanted it to be moisturized. My favorite part was picking out the name which was printed on the bottom of the lip gloss. It is a bit expensive being that the experience only last about 15 minutes. What is so great about MYX is the fact that it is laid back and you really can have time to create your perfect lip product. We got a glass of champagne and just had fun. The lady that was working with us was just awesome. She even had her new puppy there and we got to show him some love. THEY RUNIED MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY! I took my 12 year old daughter and 5 of her friends there for her birthday. We were running behind due to rain and accidents on the freeway. I called ahead of time and let them know my GPS said my arrival time is 4:18pm. I spoke with Katliyn (or maybe its spelled Kaylen) and she said thats ok still go ahead and come and we will get you in. Once the kids got there I got a call (while parking) say they will not get the full experienced (that I prepaid for) and they will be rushed through making lipgloss. I walked in and ask for the manager. I never got her name but she was EXTREMELY RUDE! After I explained that her employee was the one that told me to come on that should have been honored. She then told me I didn't respect their time and they were soooooo booked up for the day which was a lie. I said since they aren't getting the full experience at least give me some of my money back. Her reply was we don't offer refunds but instead she will give me a gift card. I said after how you're talking to me I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. She goes on to say how now I'm being rude and I immediately told her to walk away from me. I am the PAID and PAYING customer and you never talk to customers that way. All of a sudden miss rude pants is scared and tell me shes calling security on me and I told her please do. The girls make their lip gloss (rushed) and then the lable machine breaks. We sat there another 30 minutes waiting on it to be fixed!!!! THE PLACE IS STILL NOT PACKED!! MATTER OF FACT IT WAS JUST MY GIRLS AND 2 OTHER LADIES AT THIS POINT. THE REST OF THE EXPERIENCE COULD HAVE BEEN DONE THEN!!!!!! THEY MISSED OUT ON MORE MONEY BECAUSED I PLANNED TO GET THEM ALL LIP SCRUBS AND EXTRA LIP GLOSSES AND THE OTHER 2 PARENTS THERE WERE DOING THE SAME!! MISSED BUSINESS ON THEIR END!!!
