The staff here are A+! The problem was the site they gave us was REALLY close to I-95. Like less than 100ft! Picture attached. I setup during the day, and couldn't see the road through the trees. But at night, the noise from trucks is deafening. We were up most of the night. When I walked into the office the next day and told him my site number, the girl smiled and said let me guess you wanna switch sites ? So they know it's an issue. If you have just a tent, you shouldn't be placed there. I didn't notice that they squeezed quite a lot of people in other questionable spots, and I'm talking like 2 feet from the service road. So all night cars coming in and out of the back of the campground are driving right past people's tents, and again I mean like within 5 feet of a tent. Besides being a poor layout, that's just plain dangerous. So if you're going to go here, my advice is to pull up the site map, and make sure your spot is away for 995 and the service road ahead of time. The bathroom and showers were clean, but they're old so it's kind of grimy. Their playground looks good. They also have a big bouncy thing. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again unless I had a RV. read more

We stayed here on a long weekend and the campground is very...okay. We absolutely loved our cabin! We cannot say enough nice things about how cool our site was! However, the rest of the place lacks updating and maintenance. The restrooms and showers are clean, except they're so old and dated that they appear to be dirty. The campground is in severe need of landscaping; we attached the photo we took of the slides and the one on their website. They look like they've been abandoned for decades. No restaurant, just an extremely expensive food truck with $22 cocktails. Honestly we had a pretty good time for what we paid and would have considered coming back, but the ultimate deterrent was our obnoxious neighbors. Loud music, crying babies, and barking dogs. I don't blame the campground for awful people, but I am upset that nobody addresses the dogs or screaming babies at 11pm when we couldn't sleep because of them. Friendly staff, everyone was super nice. Like I said, we had a good stay up to the part where the obnoxious neighbors ruined our whole weekend. I wish the campground enforced the quiet rule and spoke to them. Made us look forward to leaving and going home. read more

Awesome slides, possibly the biggest and deepest KoA Holiday pool (kiddie pool too), a jump pad and slides, and playgrounds themselves make this a very family-friendly spot. Families do, and should, bring their bikes. Leashed pets make this KoA all around welcoming. If you came to Mystic for beach proximity, the aquarium or seaport, or the casinos, I get it, but if you found yourself stranded here you'd be okay. The opposite of stranded, if you're heading south you could stop here as this is one of the few open places to camp in the off-season in CT, and there are cabins throughout this KoA. The staff have been kind in the host building and on the grounds. You'll have to find a package store, brewpub (Shunnock River also has good pizza), or winery, but otherwise the camp store was stocked with sundries and souvenirs. read more

There's a 9 year old named Henry with little to no supervision that rides around at night popping bike tires with a knife. Parents are full timers. Told the staff and parents but little to nothing they can or will do. Beware. Took out two of our bikes while staying here. Little bully to our kid. We stayed here in the fall and I was surprised at how many other campers were staying at this time of year. I think November is kind of late in the year for the casual camper. There were many campers from different states and it appeared that there were permanent sites which I felt was unusual. We were put in between two other campers and it was very very close. The sites are very small and not all of them have trees. For the fall stay it was fine. I would not stay here during the summer because it is just too close and would be too crowded. They have nice places to sit outside in common areas and have a campfire and they have pools as well. There's a little shop and the people who work at the office are very kind. I was very surprised that when we went to stay another night we could not because they were completely booked. Of course the whole campground is not open during the off-season but they were quite a few campers there for the weekend. They also have cabins which look adorable and are reasonably priced. There are many of them and that would definitely be a great stay. read more

It was still a bit cold during our camping trip, the pools were not open and there was quite a bit of work going on adding water and power to many sites throughout the campground. The campground was fully staffed and everyone we encountered was quite nice and helpful. Reservations were made on line and check in was quick and easy. There are set office/store hours, and if you arrive after hours, your reservation will be posted in the laundry facility. If you don't have a reservations, any available sites will also be listed here and you can choose one, just fill out the reservation card. Our tent site was in a wooded area and included a small roofed structure with a picnic table underneath, a cold water spigot and an outdoor outlet. This particular site had a raised, wood framed area for the tent. Other sites nearby do not have this raised area so perhaps those are for small campers. A Class B was parked at a site in this area of the campground. The tent pad was covered in a rubberized material that I supposed would make sleeping on the ground a bit softer. Unfortunately, our tent was too big for this site (it is a big 2 room tent) and a portion of it draped over one end. The surface of the tent pad is so soft, our stakes kept coming out of the ground. Luckily we have a variety of stakes and found the longer, more heavy duty stakes worked best. After the wind blew the stakes out of the ground a couple times and knocking one side of the tent down before the other got up, we finally had it all sorted out. Then we found out. No water. No electricity. Maybe not a big deal to you, but for my camping buddy, this was a no go. We flagged down a staff member who was driving by on a little golf cart and told him of our dilemma. He checked out the fuse box, checked other sites. None of them have water or electric either. He went to speak with the crews working on nearby sites and it seems they shut off services from all nearby sites without informing management. Hmmm. So off to the office my SO goes to see if they can help a buddy out. The staff were really excellent. They got us a small cabin with power inside and water outside. The cabin includes a tiny TV, a dorm sized fridge, and they even got us a small heater. Which honestly came in so handy because it was super cold that night and I was thankful to be indoors! So in the end, it all worked out. There is one full bed, and one set of twin bunkbed w/foam mattresses. A few hooks on the wall to hang jackets, and a broom. Outside is a water spigot, an outlet, a fire pit/grill and picnic table. On the small porch is a sturdy porch swing that we used throughout our visit. That was a nice treat. The campground has cable and wi-fi. The cabin was located close to the centrally located public restrooms, so it was a nice short walk to use the facilities. Staff stopped to clean and empty trash several times a day and most of my visits the toilet seats were still up from the last cleaning. Granted, it was early in the season so not many sites were filled, still, it's nice to know they are in there often. These showers do not require coins to use (I've been to a campground that you had to pay for a hot shower). There are three shower stalls w/a small standing area to change clothes. A bench to put on your shoes is outside the changing area. Bring your toiletries in a water proof container and remember those shower shoes! I didn't remember. The store has flip flops though, so no harm. The store has a Keurig maker in an area with crafts for the kids. They sell bundles of wood as well as decorative lanterns for your site, beach towels for the pool, food items, bbq needs, RV needs, gifts, toys and clothes. It was fun walking around to see all the treats they have available. Of course they have all the fixin's for smores. The campground is close to the highway and although quiet, you can still hear cars from the freeway. There are a couple of areas where you can walk your dog to do their business and they have bags available to pick up after them. Set quiet hours are 10pm - 8am, so be kind to your neighbors and please follow the rules. Trash is picked up at your site daily and they do recycle, so keep it separate. On site laundry is open 24 hours/day. A pavilion is located near the bathhouse where they host activities and movies during the season. This seems to be a well maintained campground for RV's, trailers, tent campers and cabin rentals. They have a variety of cabins from basic to full on kitchen and bath. There was plenty of staff on hand during our stay and everyone was very helpful and kind. I'm sure in the middle of summer there are lots of kids riding bikes and playing on the swings, but during our visit, it was all adults and very quiet. read more

They came around every morning to collect the trash (awesome) and had a ton activities for the kids. I reserved this spot online for 1 night only - on a Wednesday night - while traveling. The campground was practically empty, yet they stuck us in a site that backed right up to a highway that was VERY noisy!!! There was an entire row of spots across the field that backed up to the woods and they were a good distance from the highway. Not very happy about the location of the assigned site!!!!! read more

My return to KOA Mystic is a coin toss. There's positives and negatives. Positives: very close to Mystic, Misquamicut Beach, shopping areas and pretty easy to get to whichever way you come in. Negatives: Never saw the camp store; opened late due to staff meeting and closed early(6pm) before you get back from exploring or beach. Sites in the low 500's (all back ins) are tough to maneuver into due to brush and trees that prohibit your turning without potentially scratching up very expensive trucks. Simple solution - trim it back. When we booked (March for July) pool was listed as open. Upon arrival we saw a green pond (the pool) and overgrown weeds. Staff explained to us that that the pool was condemned due to disrepair and they have not been able to get parts or a pool company to do repair. At check out I asked about a potential 25% discount (as reported by another Yelp review - A week prior). I was told that I would have needed to book when the pool was reported open, when I said I did the staff said they stopped doing that and that they were unable to "get into the computer" to do a discount. The staff wasn't rude, just was not the I'm sorry we can't do that, but conveyed a well that sucks for you attitude. At night and after quiet time expect to hear racing engines and squealing tires for hours on end. It's not from I-95 but from cars and motorcycles racing and doing donuts down the street in a parking lot. It gets old fast , no pun intended. At our site we were surprised to have a wooden deck, but the critter living underneath wasn't happy with us. After alerting staff, we did not see any evidence of eradicating the animal. Also at 6:30pm office area bathrooms did have a very distinctive bad smell. Needed to be cleaned. So much potential at this campground. I wish the new owner the best of luck and hope needed repairs, better store hours and maybe some new staff comes on board with a little better customer service training that will help. Have to say I thought KOA's had be held to a higher standard. read more

We are so disappointed in how this campground has gone down hill. Under new management, not family oriented anymore . the pool is always breaking, water on various sites break. Laundry machines break and you need to go off site. WIFI is almost no-existent unless you are near where you check in. There use to be bands, activities And more . That is no longer . This was once our favorite place to camp . So many seasonal it was like coming home to family . Corporate forced them all out , prices sky high, they charge now for kids. There are more friendly places to go instead of here . Don't waste your time and money. Go where it feels like home and children are accepted. once our favorite now our least favorite. read more

A friend and I rented the deluxe cabin for one weekend night. We were attending an event at Foxwoods and their price point and quality of stay was the best in the local area. The KOA staff was very accommodating to our needs. IE: early check in. In addition, we were put in contact with a winter over resident who provided us transportation to and from Foxwoods. The night we stayed over it was about 19 degrees out. The cabin stayed toasty all night. read more

Camped here during the Winter as we were working in the area. One of only a few campgrounds open during Winter in S. New England. Not much in the way of scenic beauty and the noise from I-95 traffic could be hear quite often. Sites were level. Only 30 amp service. Water pressure was low but it was Winter. Fire rings at each site. Propane was a bit expensive and could be purchased cheaper at Ginger's in Westerly. Laundry $2 wash, $2 dry. Campground staff was helpful especially John the manager. Electricity is charged extra for month to month sites at $0.15 per kw hour. A couple playgrounds, large grassy areas and a pool. Naturally the pool was closed my entire visit. Large pond at the front entrance. A nicely stocked rv store is on site. The KOA office has a small store, too, selling misc. camping items. Bathhouse was clean but very dated. Couple of times the park was halfway full it was a little noisy but quieted down by 10 pm. read more

A group of us just spent the weekend at this campground and were very disappointed. I reserved a Deluxe Tent site, that was supposed to offer more privacy and was advertised as being "14 tent pads wide and 16 tent pads long". We were also very happy to find out the camp was only booking at 50% capacity due to COVID. I was a little nervous about camping during the pandemic but figured at 50% capacity, there would be space between campers. When I pulled into my spot, I was immediately disappointed. It wasn't as private or big as they made it out to be - not even close, and we had neighbors right on top of us on one side. I called the office to see if we could be moved or even slide over to the empty spot in the other side if us to make room between our campsites. I was told that wasn't possible because every single tent site was already reserved. I asked about them posting that they were only reserving to 50% and was told that they use a special algorithm to figure out capacity. We stayed put But within a few hours of my making that call, the campground was loaded with campers. It had to have been 90-95% full. The bathrooms were supposed to be cleaned twice a day, but on Sunday morning there was no toilet paper in any of the stalls, and when we checked back again several hours later (with our own roll) there was still no paper. The floor was muddy and not all of the showers worked. This campsite is located right next to 95 and you can hear trucks rolling by all night long. Quiet time is supposed to start at 10:00pm but it was not enforced, so if you are looking for peace and quiet, you won't find it here. We ended up having a great time and made the best of it, but having the campground that crowded was unsafe and irresponsible. I wouldn't stay here again. read more

I left the previous review I did 3 years ago. I seperated it with a few spaces. A few years ago when I came this place was amazing especially due to the service and staff. This time around the staff was so rude and the bathrooms were extremely dirty. I stayed come Sunday July 12th until Wednesday July 15th. Every time that I had to deal with a staff member they were extremely rude from the people in the check-in to the people cleaning the bathrooms to the people picking up the trash every morning. They were all extremely rude. I am not complaining about the lack of activities due to covid-19 because I completely understand what is going on but that should not take away from the way you treat the people at the campground. I am extremely disappointed because I always recommend mystic KOA holiday to anyone who is even interested remotely in camping because prior to this we've always had a great experience here. this will probably be my last time visiting mystic KOA holiday. Great things to do for adults and children. The kids stay busy and adults can relax. They always have activities planned for the kids on the weekends. Great time and an amazing price. We were seasonal guests for almost 10 years. We were informed 3 mths before our season started that they no longer have seasonal rates. The new monthly rates raised the cost for our "season" drastically. The activities that were once in abundance were no longer, in the last 5 years. No more pancake breakfasts, BINGO, ice cream socials, seasonal potlucks, hayrides, DJ dance parties, karoake nights, and many more. It was our second home for all those years and thought we'd be there for many more. Very disappointing. read more

Took a quick shakedown trip with our travel trailer and since this campground wasn't far from home we decided to give it a try. This review was for an April trip, so some things may change from month to month...We had a good sized pull through site, and since it was early in the season very few people were there. I can imagine that they get quite busy as they have a lot of site and were even renovated quite a few up front. They had some seasonal camper's there and from the looks of it the campers stayed on site all winter long and kind of gave it a dumpy feeling since most were pretty dirty or in rough shape. It was close to several attractions such as Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport and a brewery, so there are things to do. I would recommend as a quick stop or just a few days. Restrooms were clean and plenty of activities for children if you happen to have any. Dump station is set up so two campers or travel trailers can dump at the same time, I thought this was great, especially for the busy season. read more

We just went here for the Land Rover Muddy Chef Challenge II (August 9-11, 2013). They were very accommodating of our fairly large group. They come around each morning and pickup your trash bags. They were also draining people's RV waste. The bathrooms were very clean and they offered plenty of fun activities for the kids. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the noise from 95 was on the loud site (we were on the side next to the highway). Overall this is a great, clean, family-oriented campground that we plan to visit again. Thanks so much to the staff for all their hospitality and hard work. read more

The trailer part of the place was like this big prairie though, I'd maybe recommend against that. But where we stayed was great. This year we returned the week before Labor day and the campground was much less crowded. We also got a tent site in the woods which was much more pleasant than camping in the RV field. We found another good nearby beach at Bluff Point State Park. We may not be back though because the weekend traffic from Westchester County NY is horrendous on both the Merritt Parkway and I-95. read more

We used to love this place returned every year but unfortunately they are under new management and this year's visit was horrible. They crammed trailers in so close together you could put your arms out and touch your neighbor. The management was rude and we will be calling corporate to discuss. This is the only KOA in CT and it wasn't located too far off the i95. The bathrooms were clean, the staff was extremely helpful, and the site was relatively quiet. The amenities were the best part: basketball court, shuffle board, horse shoe, ping pong, bouncer, playground, pool, game room, rentable bikes, and even a small dog park. read more

Was annoying trying to make a reservation. As whoever answered the phone was preoccupied with something else. So I had to keep repeating myself and information 2-3 times. I have a 34 ft class A and was towing as well. Puts me at about 50 feet or so.. with a pull thru that was 38 ft in length. So needless to say had to unhook in middle of road within camp ground. Had me in a site that I had to back up into. Which is no biggie. Just all most every site along that row had trees with low hanging (thick) branches. Called the office and asked about switching site. Which they were accommodating and took a pull thru right across from me. Site was still not large enough for RV &a car to be together. Meaning site was still small. Roads are very close together a d there are some tight turns... especially if you are towing. Not much going on our weekend. So we went into Mystic and Foxwoods for the day. Pretty boring. Paid for the weekend and left within the next day. Wasted last day stay. Ground so tight together I did a ride around with my jeep and everything was just too close to hook up and try to make it out the way the lay out is. GF had to follow me out of camp ground so I could hook up somewhere. I don't have any problem driving in tow. But things were just too close together here to take a chance. Will not come back here. read more

We stayed here last year and gave it 5 stars. The decline in service and standards in one year is amazing and disappointing. Last year they had very senior, experienced staff. This year it seems to be mostly young kids. They are polite and provided good service, but I get a sense they are not able to maintain order in the camp the way the more experienced staff were able to. Last year there were people riding around in golf carts at 10pm to enforce quiet hours, and they were very good at it. This year we didn't see anyone. As a result, quiet hours are not enforced at all and this is a VERY raucous and noisy campground with lots of drunks running around unchecked until very late at night. There were even people using fireworks that were never addressed until after the fact, once we complained. In addition to the noise, there were other problems: the hot water didn't work in the showers, WIFI is non existent, and the campsite was a mess when we showed up. Security at the front gate was non existent and the pool was flooded with people not even staying in the campground. My son was assaulted by a local kid who was not a camper nor a visitor of a camper. I could go to Burlingame if I wanted a frat party atmosphere, and would have saved a lot of money. $70 a night for THIS? save your money and go somewhere else. What a major let down. We will never return to this camp again. read more

Don't bother with these clowns. We reserved a cabin in October of 2107 for July of 2108 as we have done each of the previous 5 years for a large family reunion. Three weeks before the reserved date, we were informed that they would not honor our reservation. According to the campground, over the winter their national office changed their computer system and as a result, lost the reservations that were in the system, and the cabin had since been booked. After looking, they were in fact able to find the reservation, and had of course held our deposit money all Winter, but they refused to honor the reservation, instead honoring whoever booked it after us. I don't understand why, if they had to bump one group, they would choose to bump the group that booked first and had been booking there for 5 years, but that was their decision, and they referred us to the national office as they claimed it was their fault. When we contacted the national office, they told us that this was strictly a local campground decision and they did not get involved with local issues. The bottom line, there is nowhere to stay for us despite booking 9 months in advance and we will now have to miss our annual reunion. Because of this our family has already decided that next year all 30 or so of us will be looking elsewhere for a vacation/reunion location. I suggest you do the same because these folks don't care at all about their customers. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would based solely on customer service, which is unfortunate because it is one of the easiest ways to make people happy. We went up with a group of friends to celebrate one of our friend's Birthdays for the weekend, and to hopefully start a new tradition as friends where we could go and bring our families as they grow; what we ended up with was the complete opposite. The first night we were there we were outside having a fire, playing music and were approached by Kent the property manager/owner at approximately 9-9:30pm to turn the music down as it was too loud and disruptive to other patrons; we immediately turned the music off and sat around the fire playing games. At approximately 10:30pm Kent returned demanding we put out our fire and go inside as we were being too loud and it was late, despite the fact that there were 4-5 other patrons outside with their families/friends having fires. At this time some of our group members started putting out the fire and bringing stuff into the cabin; as this was happening two of our friends one who is tall and in shape *dad bod on point* and the other who is a body builder calmly asked Kent why we were being asked to put out our fire and go in while other parties were still outside enjoying the night. At this time Kent told them they were being "aggressive" and sped away in his golf cart. (As for his remarks about our friends being "aggressive" they were simply asking a question in which Kent did not want to answer like a professional business owner would and at no point did our friends raise their voices or make aggressive remarks as were we all less than 10 to 15ft away from them). About 5 minutes later a cop shows up with Kent in his golf cart. The cop came into the cabin we were all in asking what was going on, we explained what had occurred and the cop agreed that we did nothing wrong, he informed us that Kent was demanding an apology from our two group members because they spoke to him "aggressively" and that Kent wanted us to leave the premises immediately. We informed the officer that we had all been drinking and it would probably not be the best or safest idea for us to leave immediately; the officer agreed with us and after having to convince Kent it was unsafe, and that he could be liable for anything that happened to us if we got into an accident Kent agreed to let us stay and we could discuss the issue in the morning. The next morning most of the guys in our group went golfing and the rest of us were calmly sitting around the campsite enjoying brunch, when an employee in a golf cart came to our site demanding that we leave the premise by 11am-- it was approximately 10:40am when we were informed of this. Members of our party told the employee that it would be impossible for us to leave by 11am because half of our party had taken the cars and there was a smoker running with ribs that would have to cool down before we left as it would melt the car. The worker essentially told us too bad and if we weren't gone they would call the cops. The cops came shortly after and we told them what was going on and why we couldn't leave and again they were able to speak to Kent and his wife and convince them to let us leave by 1pm so we could inform the rest of our party and let the smoker cool down. As everyone was coming back and some of us were packing 2 of our friends (one latino, one white both females) went to talk to the owner to apologize about the misunderstanding the prior night and about getting a refund if they wanted us to leave. They ended up speaking to Kent's wife (Kent refused to speak to our latino friend like an adult so he sat in the other room and listened) his wife essentially said my husband wants you out so you need to leave , then our group member enquired about getting refunded for the night which the wife refused to do as she said it was stipulated in the contract... Our friend said she wasn't aware of this and at that point Kent's wife asked our friend to leave because she was being aggressive.. so she left.. As all this was happening the rest of us were packing and the rest of the group with the cars showed up so we were loading the cars.. As this was happening we were being watched by the employees on golf carts and being recorded with their personal cell phones on video, which was both pathetic, weird and invasive at the same time. Since, the Owner's Kent and his wife could not stop essentially hazing and harassing us more than they had already they had the police escort us out (one of the cops asked for a rib from the slow cooker because they were awesome). Lastly, we found an AMAZING Campground called Strawberry Park that was even closer to the casinos and could not only meet our needs as patrons but was also able to accommodate us on such short notice. We will definitely be returning there for many years to come! read more

We love camping here every year. We've been coming here for 8 years now. It's always been a great family campground, with a fun and friendly environment. Its close to the beach and shopping, and offers family activities. However, last year the campground went under new management. I'm sorry to say, it may be the beginning of their downfall! The staff has all been replaced, and many are not very friendly. Last year's activities were done with limited, old dried out supplies. This year, the grass is really overgrown, many of the store shelves are bare, and there is caution tape on some of the the playground equipment!? The small pool is in rough condition, but is drained this year, so hopefully they're working on it. The management has an attitude with people, and is not very approachable. Fees are increasing, and it's difficult to relax around the camp fire and have a few laughs (within reason of course) at the end of the day without staff stopping by to ask you to be quiet. I thought this was a family campground, not a campground for retireexonly. I heard that the new management was sent in "to do what they need to do" to keep the place from closing. I don't think they are taking the right approach! Good, friendly service, and a well maintained campground is key..especially when they want people to pay increased fees!!! read more

Cabin was adorable, and had heating units, but they were only blowing cold air. The bedroom one made a horrible noise every 20-30 minutes. Water off/frozen, gas off, no flushing toilet. We had a late check-in, so nobody to talk to so we toughed it out. Come to find out maintenance was on site giving people extra heaters, would have been nice if they knocked on our door. Probably a great summer visit, but they really shouldn't offer the cabins when the heat can't handle the temperatures (or at least mention there may not be water/gas/heat on the website!). Overall very clean, but for the money, we should have just stayed in a hotel. I wrote an email the Monday we got home, it's been 3 weeks, still no response received. Disappointed in that most of all. read more

We came for a low key weekend for my husbands birthday with 2 other friends and our 2 year old daughter. We opted for the "secluded" cabin which turns out to not be really so secluded as you have 2 very close neighbors as well other cabins and camping spots very close by. Overall the campground was nice with a lot of activities for kids however if you are looking for something with a little privacy / seclusion this isn't the place . The cabins were in the wooded area of the park but definitely not secluded as advertised. read more

Nice place and clean.. Most sites are good size for connecticut. Bathrooms could use an update. There are activities for the kids usually the same every time we go there. The jumping pillow is the highlight for my son. The campground is nicely located for the beach. We will go back read more

I went on a weekend trip where it was raining awfully, on one of the days the family and I wanted them to open up the pool so we could go for a swim. Upon asking them, they continuously harassed us saying that they better see us in the pool multiple times. After that situation, we were all by our cabin and a man came over to pick up our trash but we politely told him that our bag wasn't filled yet and he answered back rudely, "oh you're gonna make it heavier for me?" This is a nice facility but customer service is terrible. read more

Went for a Very nice weekend with my girlfriend. Was a cool place. staff was helpful and very patient. facilities were clean and everything was kept up with. Also they had a beer truck which was totally awesome. only four stars because there were a few occasions where there were no dog clean up bags. other then that. awesome place to camp. read more

Not being able to choose your site is awful. I am a 10ft trailer and was put in between a Party of 4 x 27+ft trailers. They; walked thru my site the whole 4 days, let their 6 dogs off leash and shit everywhere. One even jumped in my jeep and left filthy pawprints all over! 10pm quiet time not enforced. 3:30 am we had drunks singing at the top of their lungs. Noone avail after hours. NOONE. I have no potty in my little aframe, so its long walk to bathrooms that were absolutely GROSS. So much so that i took video. Covid cleaning = HA! SIMPLY AWFUL. And supposedly they were at 50% capacity for covid, NOT. Every spot was filled. When i went to office to complain they told me they had a lot of complaints about the area i was in... she even knew what party i was stuck between, and that i was the tiny camper in the sea of beasts. Offered nothing for my troubles. (except a 5.99 smore ornament) Basically stated that it was a holiday weekend, so oh well for me. At 70. a night i could have stayed in a hotel, or went to a state park and had a better experience. Will not even consider a stay at a KOA again. read more

The campground was nice and the bouncer was so much fun. However, they had a DJ on Saturday night. The music was good but it was so loud that we could not have a conversation AT OUR CAMP SITE. Then just our luck, the DJ announced that he was supposed to stop at 10 but had just given permission to go until 11. I guess if you were at the party that was great news. If you were not and wanted to relax and enjoy a quiet night by the fire, you were out of luck. Then the people stayed at the pavilion until after 12 midnight so it was still noisy and had difficulty sleeping for the noise. Sunday morning packed up and headed to the bathroom at 8:50 to get cleaned up prior to heading home and the bathrooms (which were supposed to be closed from 9-10) had a padlock on them and were closed early. The men's room at the store was also closed during that time so if you had to go to the bathroom, you were out of luck. There are rules for a reason and they should have enforced them.
