I debated between 3 stars and 4 stars for this campground. I've been to a few better kOAs and quite a few worse. I granted the 4th star based on how well run and managed the place is. It started when we made our reservation back in December of 2024. The place was closed for the season and my phone call went straight to voicemail. Within a few hours I got a call back and we had our reservation in place. Excellent Customer service. This was our first timne staying longer than 5 days at any campground. As I write this we are 7 days into a 9 day stay. This 9 day stay was startig in the memorial day weekend, so I made my reservation early. In fact I was a little worried because we spent the Friday of the long weekend at a campground near Buffalo NY and arrived here on Saturday where the party had already started. Check in was quick and easy along with being friendly. Our site, while gravel packed was perfectly level and really clean. It will be just as clean when we leave. The place was already packed for the holiday weekend. 2 years ago we stayed at a KOA near Washington DC on this holiday weekend. While that camground was really nice it was overrun by inconsiderate guests who aren't regular campgrounds. This place was crowded, but we still had a great time with little to worry about. There is about 10 times the normal amount of dogs in the campground this week and for the first time we are one of them. There is a national agility championship going on and many are staying here. By nature of the event these dogs are really well trained and having all of these dogs here hasn't been an issue. I mentioned our spot was perfect and easy to get hooked up. Its close to the office/store, the pool and bathhouses. IT is the beginning of the season and the pool is cold! But it is clean and super cared for. Can''t fault them for the cool spring! Bathrooms are important to me as we have a pop up. It has a shower, but with my mobility impairments showering in the camper isn't easy. This place has 4 bathrooms near us and one is labeled for handicap access. All of the bathrooms are clean, stocked, and in good condition. Because of the dirst roads the bathroom floors get dirty/muddy during the day, but they clean them twice a day it looks like. Other reviews will ding them for not having floor mats down, but your still walking on dirt there. Wear Shower shoes. 3 of the bathrooms have plenty of shelfs so you don't have to put your stuff on the floor. Oddly, the 4th bathroom , the handicappped one doesn't have shelfs but I made do. What it does have is a tub, grab bars, and a shower head that is as high as my 6'1 head. That is important to me as I have spinal fusion and find getting my head under shower heads that are at 5' very difficult. Plenty of hot water and it was well stocked. I am an early riser and was able to use this bathroom almost every day. On the first Saturday of the trip some lady was giving all 8 of her kids a bath at once, so I had to use one of the other. The office/store at first appears to be small, but there is a second room and everytime I needed something, I found it at a reasonable price. During our 9 day stay I walked down several times to get some ice cream treat and was greeted warmly each time. During the week we had a few clear nights and there was a pretty decent dark sky so we had a lot of stars to see and having a new moon helped. Also i am now using their wifi which was pretty good after the masses left! A minor negative point since I mentioned dark skies. The pool and kiddy pool are very nice and clean, but for some reason they put an EXCESSIVELY bright light shining on the kiddy pool at night. I'm sure it is for safety reasons, but jets heading to Boston Logan might mistake itfor a runway. Coming back to our camper from bathhouse is was blinding enough that I couldn't see the road unless I shielded my eyes. I would suggest a shroud around the light so they could keep the pool lit up and not have so much stray light. That really is my biggest complaint so I guess I am having a good time. The place was in a convienent location and we visited many historical sites when we weren't involved with agility stuff. IT was my wife and I , our daughter and family. Do not go here! Avoid at all costs! Stayed 5/22/25 and there was trash everywhere and bathrooms are disgusting! I was charged $114 per night for this. I spoke with the campground manager, Brian, and told him that there were clogged toilets and some of the showers weren't working. I told him if my family couldn't use working bathrooms that I would have to write a review about it and his response was, "go ahead." read more

The woman who greeted me at the shop and checked me in was friendly and helpful. The rest of my stay was disappointing to say the least. There was a loud dog barking at the site across from mine steadily for hours at a time. Behind me a family had a big screen tv set up outside and watched a loud action movie with booming speakers after 9 pm at night. They were all sitting outside like it was a movie theater and the light from their tv was flashing inside my tent. And the bathrooms were not separated male from female. This may have contributed to the fact that they were consistently dirty each time I (a female) used them. There was paper on the floor, a pile of hair in the shower, and feces on the toilet. The floors were wet from showering with puddles in places. I read that staff cleans the bathroom daily in the morning; that is clearly not enough. In my opinion, my stay was not worth the $66 per night charge to camp at this site. I will not be returning anytime soon. I just checked into Tidewater Campground in Hampton, NH for a four day stay here and was relieved to find the bathrooms tidy and clean and a no-dog policy here. There is also a security guard that is available at night for noise complaints. And their dumpsters were clean upon pulling into the parking lot. No trash smell, which is more than I can say for the Northampton KOA parking lot, which reeked of trash from an overflowing dumpster. At least I will have a good night's rest tonight. read more

EVERY weekend is a special event so don't even think about getting a refund, even seven months in advance. The rules are so restrictive that family staying in motel for local reunion are unable to visit without paying. Consequently, I was booking for additional family members and I do not feel I can have them stay and pay more than a hotel with breakfast. Not a good deal. If you are looking for a relaxing camping experience, this isn't it. Golf carts constantly encircle the premises like they're on a race track from early morning until late at night. Too many loud activities, it's like a circus from 8 am to 11 pm. Showers are muddy, they desperately need shower mats. read more

Could use some modernizing, overall nice stay! Very cost efficient! Cute little dish washing stations, VERY kid friendly! Lots of fun activities, tye die, mini golf, basic pool. Fun gem mining. Respectful area at night time, fun environment, friendly. DELICIOUS breakfast, $5 per adult, such amazing staff. Felt like I was eating breakfast at my grandmas! Never have we ever felt more welcome and satisfied the food here is SOOOO yummy! delicious pizza and wings too! VERY GOOD DEAL ON WOOD, spend the $20! ITS WORTH IT!!! We had enough wood for three nights of fires.. wood and ice delivery for free! This is definitly our go to spot for last minute weekend getaways! You can DoorDash from Northampton. I started a family camping tradition yearly for 4th of July! I have done this before making this year our 6th year camping! This year we visited this site i have stayed at KOA's before but this site is a bit complicated with there rules. Not all staff know them! (One will tell you yes another tells you no) They need training! I have toddlers so I bring stuff to keep them entertained. Upon arrival i set up my inflatable movie screen with a volume of 5 not 25! at 10:15 they come by to tell me i have to take it down at 11:00pm (not turn it off) they said take it down so i did. I also set up a pop up tent with a mini porta potty for my toddlers as bathrooms were a bit far and let's face it I'm the middle of the night it's hard in the dark to get the kids to go to the bathroom i also do bring my own pail to bring back home anything left over night by my toddlers. When i arrived one staff said oh cool but please don't put that garbage in regular garbage i said ok i won't i have a system for discarting appropriately . They next day manager came accusing me in front of my guest (additional almost 10 people that drove 3 hours to come for the day and paid there day pass) of improperly discarting the potty garbage in regular garage which was imposible as i showed him my bucket with my garbage in it. We were targeted from the beginning as we are a multi racial family and it was very noticeable. We followers all rules they had and it was not enough! Manager then proceeded to kick me out because i expressed i did not like this particular camping site and i said i would not return. We rented 5 sites my family is big! No reason to be treated this way. I went to the front to straighten the issue as it was impossible to pack up in 20 minutes 5 family's to leave as he had requested. He then expressed his apology for assuming that the infamous garbage that he accused me of was done by my family (when it wasn't) this site just left me with a bad taste for camping. It's normally really fun and at other KOA site it has been fun this one was just not for us. If you have kids and are trying to be comfortable and have fun this may not be the site for you! Besides the issues i had they keep the bathroom fairly clean and the sites just wished i had a better experience. And they do have plenty activities for the kids but again i sat and waited 20 minutes before a scheduled fire truck event with my kids and my toddler wanted to sit in the front and even though no one was in line when we hit there and we were first my toddler still didn't get to sit in the front as the other kids took it and i expressed this to the manager who responded oh we will do it again( basically wait more) it shouldn't be like this but until next year! read more

Stayed here for a week in August 2021. Great location, friendly staff, nice good sized sites, with trees for shade. Best part of this campground was the diversity - which is super important to us as a multi-racial family. Large family-friendly pool. Nice, clean bathrooms and showers. Quiet in the evenings. This campground is definitely worth a visit. All the staff is very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised by how many activities they had throughout the day, definitely kept the kids busy. The grounds were well maintained and fairly modern. We are already planning another trip back. read more

Not easy to find missed the turn -- looks small when you first come in but it goes back through the woods -- sites close together -- many seasonal sites but they were run down and not well maintained -- has a small play ground -- dog park was located behind 2 huge dumpsters-- some cabins - some patio sites with a swing some sites had a dog enclosure -- it has potential not sure how long it has been a KOA but def needs updating -- has a pool but was closed for the season -- we stayed here for one night so it was fine for an overnight stay headed southbound -- the town of Springfield is a college town so lots of nice shops and restaurants close by -- don't think i would vacation here but fine for an overnite to transition here to there read more

Keep scrolling and choose a different KOA or campground! We tried to book this location for Oct 2018 and had to reschedule for October 2019 due to a Nor'easter. Here we are in 2019 and 60% chance of rain. But we called to cancel outside of the cancellation policy (more than 48 hours before arrival) and they refused to refund or reschedule. Who does that?!? It is NOT in their policy posted on confirmation or cancellation emails NOR is it posted on their specific site. They DO state that they adhere to KOA cancellation guidelines-which we are within! We camp every month and sometimes 3+ a month at KOA Kampgrounds and have never dealt with smug attitudes by "Michael" the supposed manager. I'm sure we aren't missing anything since they stated that it's the last weekend and there's zero activities. Other KOA franchises have a lot going on despite being late in the season. The reviews are likely on point for this location too. Glad that we aren't missing out. By the way, what manager ends a call with "Enjoy the rain". Completely unprofessional and rude. Apparently, they forget that campers are their source of income and words go a very long way. read more

We were fans of KOA already but the staff & activities here exceeded our expectations!! Wonderful fire truck rides and "hey" rides - kids loved all the activities especially hunting for coins all weekend. Staff and their families were friendly, helpful, and so thoughtful - we loved getting to know Dusty, Jason, and their families. We can't wait to come back - so many memories. Came with friends - had shady sites with clean tables and a nice light/charging station. Lots of bathrooms and great dishwashing stations. Bring your bikes or RC cars. While it's near lots to do, we didn't even leave - we enjoyed every minute at the campground. Highly recommend! read more

We stayed in mid July 2014. I saw very mixed reviews on yelp and almost cancelled my reservation due to it. I felt the campground did not get a fair review from many disgruntled visitors. We have very good comments and some noted comments for mgmt herewith. Family of 5 (3 kids-twins 12 and one 14). We camp all over the northeast and Canada, so we have had many experiences with which to compare koa/windy acres. We stayed on lower level for abt 5 nights. Did not make it up to higher level of campground nor did we make the cool pig roast being offered. The good: The staff were extremely pleasant, polite, and friendly...and the place cleaner than clean. Awesome pool and pool area. Nice pond where my boy fished. Brand new looking playground. My children said the bathrooms were super clean. We noted staff immediately cleaned each site and mowed when someone left. They were constantly cleaning the grounds. Great truck ride for kids! Cute activities offered for kiddies were noted in Rec room. Very small and limited camp store but it did carry basic needs/food. However there is a camper store is within 30ish min. (We know bc we had to purchase a cable we snapped). Comments about other posts seen. Yes, one area of an enclosed porch stored supplies you could see thru a window like water and boxes but for goodness sakes people, they run a campground and need to store things somewhere for campers! It was not as if were laying around the campground. The place was immaculate. Even the dumpster area was tidy and clean. We have no pets so cant comment on the paw park but I can say there was not even a hint of a scent of doggie poop--again, very clean. I do agree that we saw a couple campers zooming waaay too fast on golf carts down near the front area. I think for the sake of little ones who are around the area, mgmt could do a better job of enforcing speed limits. No excuses! Yes, the air hockey game did have an odor when turned on which I found offensive but my children didn't seem to care too much and played anyway. Perhaps mgmt can fix that as I love this game but wouldnt allow them to pay for another game due to the strong odor. However, the other arcade games were decent. The change machine did not work but staff were willing to give change to my kids for their dollars, which we appreciated! Overall 4 stars and we will be back next year when coming thru your area! Stay clear. Usually try to say at KOAs due to knowing there usually clean, great amenities, camp sites nice. First very crowed, stacked on top of each other. Then then have cabin 10 ft from camp site. They can look out stare at any times. Bath rooms smell like urine. Patrol regularly but the cabin (we were camping) in middle of camp sites, blasting music 13-14 hrs a day. Patrols went by there at lest 30 x and never asked them to tone it down. I don't mind music but when it intrudes on the space renting to relax & camp, and patrols say nothing, not for me. Suggestions; clean up place, clean bathroom regularly, don't crowd people on top of each other. DONT scatter cabins in between camp sites. Can't see, alls u see is a wall w windows, not good planning, so random. Totally not what is expected in KOA. Will not go again. Will not recommend. Wi Fi - forget it. lot's people on could not get on internet, sent emails, or texts to anyone in family- which quite important to me. Wi Fi down frequency. This has never happened in any KOA I have been in. Worst KOA ever! Been camping long time this place us The worst KOA ever. Never got key card to go in out. They let anyone in. No security. Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 1 night in a site for big rigs. Our site was in the front of the park, we were next to 5 or 6 other coaches and there was plenty of room between each site. This part of the park is flat and it looked like most of these sites were level with a good amount of gravel for the pad. I do not know about the back of the park. Our satellite worked great here, however it looked like the back of the park had large trees which might affect satellite reception. If you have a dog, there's areas to walk your dog. This park is located in a quiet area. We enjoyed our stay here and would go back. read more

We normally tent it in a New Hampshire state park, but we wanted to find something with cabins so my parents could come too. The cabins were very comfortable and better stocked than we expected with dishes, silverware and pots and pans. The gas grill outside of our cabins was a bit beat up, but the one at my parents site was fine. The staff was friendly, the pool was nice and not too crowded, and the playground was nice also. There were plenty of hokey activities for the kids. It seems to cater to the RV and seasonal camper crowd, but the cabins were great for us. For the nature lovers, this may not be your spot. There may be hiking or canoeing nearby, but it is not at the campsite. Northampton is close by for an evening out. read more

Campground is worn down. Not much going on due to pandemic. Firewood that was supposed to burn good was difficult to light unless a professional arsonist. It did however appear they are trying to update...but more work needs to be done. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. The woman is charge is mentally unstable. I didn't think the bad reviews were a big deal, all I needed was a place to sleep while traveling across country...boy was I wrong.... All I did was ask her if I could pay for the previous night in order to check in early. I was going to pay an extra $50 for a few hours. I was so nice about asking. Long story short she said she didn't need this and told me to get off her property. I've never been in a fight in my life and this lady had me fuming! We paid 59.81 for 2 nights. Electric power was low, EMS kept shutting off, couldn't even run one 13.5 AC. Complained to management. Said it wasn't their problem. They finally agreed to move us to site with 50 amp electric but no sewer or cable. $15 a night cheaper but no offer to refund difference. They cater to long term campers and don't care about travelers. If I wanted to stay in one spot, I'd buy a lot or house read more

Husband and I went for a couple days just to get out of town. The staff were friendly and they seemed to have a lot going on at the campground such as bingo, a sundae social and a 50/50 that benefited a local children's charity. We liked our full hook up site, loved the surrounding woods and really liked the complimentary news paper that was left on our camper step Sunday morning, that was a nice surprise. Lots of friendly staff driving around in golf carts waving. A short ride to Look Memorial Park on Saturday was a treat, the park is beautiful. Glad we happened upon this little gem in Massachusetts, only an hour and a half ride from Albany NY. read more

Stayed at this KOA on June 30th-July 3rd. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The Entrance has 2 dumpsters that make the place look unpleasant. The womans bathroom was dirty as my wife reported. The lower sites are very close to each other with no trees or shade ( middle sites). Used the rec room...was dirty and junk piled in one corner. Many full time camps which make the KOA look bad as they are run down with a few that look like no one has been there for years. read more

My girlfriend and I just recently stayed at this place. Upon arrival, we checked in at the main office. We were given a map of the campground and TV channel listing and a key card that could get us in and out of the gate when it was down. We were escorted to our "Deluxe Cabin" by a guy on a golf cart and he entered the cabin, came out and then handed us our key. We stayed from the 1st to the 5th of July. Our last day my girlfriend had become extremely ill and we didn't want to take any chances so we packed up in a rush leaving a few things behind such as coffee filters(unused) paper towels and a couple bottles of booze. We checked out and went to the hospital near by to make sure everything was ok. NOW, here's the major issue, later in the day on Sunday, I received an email from the campground saying that they wanted to talk to us about the items left behind as well as the "Damages that were caused to the property". I didn't get a chance to talk to them Sunday and had called them on Monday(7-6-15). I spoke to Sally who from the email I gathered was a co-owner or manager of this place. She proceeded to tell me that they had charged us $250 for damages done to the property. When I asked what was damaged, she said that they were charging us for supposedly breaking 2 sets of blinds that, when we had gotten there, WERE ALREADY BROKEN! Sally refused to provide me with any sort of proof or anything that they can prove it was us. She then, in a very rude fashion began to speak to me in a very condescending manner and said "Well I can call the previous tenants and ask them if they did it and if they want to pay" ya, like someone that got away with breaking something is gonna willingly cough up $250. I tried numerous times to reason with her and she refused to accept the fact that there was NO WAY they could possibly charge us for something that can't be proven and was from a previous tenant. No contract was signed, no rental agreement was ever given and no damage disclaimer was ever gone over etc. There are obviously no records kept at this place for inspections between tenants so DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to be held responsible for damages that aren't your fault. The cabins are way smaller than advertized, the bathrooms are disgusting, the campsites are not in the least bit maintained and if you want privacy I suggest going somewhere else because ALL of the sites here are directly on top of each other dont be surprised when you get stuck listening to the people next to you all day and night. This has to be the WORST experience I have ever had dealing with a place like this. They are rude, unfriendly and extremely lacking in the customer service and hospitality department. I will be contacting the BBB immediately about this in hopes that this can be prevented from happening to someone else. I hope they smarten up and decide to fix this. read more

I would like to mention before I go any further that this is my first poor review of a campground in over 20 years of camping. I also would like to say that the staff at the campground was very courteous and respectful. My feedback is on the management of this campground. Strike One: Making reservations over the phone, we were informed that our site would be reserved for a specific site that allowed us to be close to the other two families we were camping with. We were also informed that the site would allow us to set a travel trailer and a tent on that one specific site. We informed this person that we may have our son and his guest arrive if he did not have to work. Upon arrival, we were informed that we did not have the site that we had planned. It had appeared that the person making our reservation did not place a request for this site within our reservation. Our site was relocated. The location was still in the near vicinity of our friends so this was not a major issue. Strike Two: Next phase - Son and his guest arrived. We went to the front office to pay for their stay and they received their access card. Prior to nightfall, one of their workers came to our site and respectfully informed us that we had to remove the tent that we had set up in addition to our trailer. They informed us that we could also speak to the owner about this issue. On our way to the office, I asked him about the policy and he informed me that he was not aware of any policy prior to this instance. During our transit, we talked to another worker and they also were not aware. When speaking to the owner, she stated that this was their campground policy and no more than one unit could be on a site. She also mentioned to me that all of their workers were aware of this policy. I then informed her that the workers that I had spoken to were not aware. She then asked the front desk if they were aware... they were not. She said that if my son was 17 or below, this would not be an issue. My son is 18 and I still paid for him to be on the site. I also informed the owner that this was discussed when placing our reservations over the phone. Long story short - we had to move the tent to another site at no additional cost. This also was not a major issue. The only issue was the tone and disrespect of the owner. Strike Three: We were visiting our friends who had reserved a cabin that had a no pet policy (The cabins were very nice!). Respecting this policy and being responsible pet owners, we did not have our pet by the cabin. We were sitting around the fire place which was over 30 feet away from the cabin (yes... I measured). The owner informed us that we had to remove the pet from the site as this was a public health policy. So we promptly left the site while watching an adjacent campsite that had a dog which was less than 10 feet from this cabin. (Still scratching my head on that one... trying to figure out this common sense vs policy thing) Final out of the game: While their workers were conducting maintenance on the grounds, their backhoe struck a waterline. I understand mistakes do happen. However, during their excavation, initially there was not a second person (spotter). The area of work was not roped or sectioned off. There were young kids walking near the operating backhoe and trench area as the workers concentrated on digging the trench. Yes, our family and friends did share many laughs throughout the weekend. This was due to our being flexible and not raising an issue. As I said before, the staff was very kind but the management had no leadership. We reviewed the rules provided to us upon arrival. These rules did not outline any one of their issues. The owner said that it was their policy. Did not see any. I also called the campground the day after departure to see if I could obtain their policies on line. The phone attendant informed me that they were not on their campground website. They were going to email them to me. Will be looking forward to seeing what this policy states. Unfortunately, this was our first and last time camping at a KOA campground. read more

Horribly rude management! My family members were visiting from out is state and decided to stay here. We visited them as we are local to the area. They charge a fee every time u visit, although this is not mentioned in their literature. Well I parked just outside the gates and went in to pay the fee. I received my receipt and change back. Not ten mins later a knock came to the camper door, the young man who took my payment stood there with a diva sized attitude, hand on hip requesting to speak with me privately. He then proceeded to let me know he was aware of what I had done. He informed me I was on camera stealing money off the counter to pay my 5.00 fee. After a long back and forth he proceeded to look me up and down and state it was obvious I needed the money more than him. Myself and my family, shocked and upset, went into the store to speak with sally the owner. I requested to see the video that supposedly showed my crime. Sally proceeded to state there was none. When I explained the video, the guy tapped his head and stated that was the only video he needed. I was shocked. He then proceeded to insult me, my car I drove etc. sally got loud and never corrected his behavior. It was awful. Then after we left she proceeded to send her son out to the pool area to throw my son out letting him know his visiting time was over due to the " incident". I will tell everyone I know to never use this campground. It's run by incompetent management. We are local to the area and will be sure to share this experience with others. Very helpful staff,large level site,clean pool. Owners are working hard to upgrade the campgrounds,putting in new playground equipment and new gravel on the sites. We didnt use the bathrooms,and the laundry rooms need upgrading,but the washers and dryers worked just fine. This was our third trip here,and we will definitely be back. read more
