I'm an out of towner who found out about MyShofer via Yelp. With all the five star reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I needed a 6am pickup from where I was staying at the Mission to Union Square. Dependability was important to me because I was heading to the starting line of the Nike Women's Run Marathon. Five minutes before the scheduled pickup time, my cellphone rang and the driver let me know he had arrived. Great! The car itself was sleek and nice, the driver pleasant. I took away one star because I was charged $25 instead of the the $20 quoted on the website for a ride less than 4 miles (still gave a 25% tip despite). I would suggest confirming with the dispatcher the quoted price on the website when scheduling a car. Otherwise, a smooth ride. read more

I recently tore the MCL and ACL in my knee and have been relying mostly on my husband and taxis to get to and from work. I decided to try MyShofer for several reasons: taxi drivers are a little rough (I can't really take jarring movements rights now), I have been turned down by taxi drivers because they "do not have time to drive out to the avenues" or they do not take credit cards (I rarely carry cash) and I often have to stand on the side of the curb downtown for 20 to 30 minutes before actually getting into a cab. My MyShofer driver was Ryan. He arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled pick up time, opened the door for me and helped me in and out of the car, and was all around very nice. He arrived in a very clean Prius - no funky smells or mysterious stains on the upholstery like you might find in a typical cab. But best of all, I did not feel like I was going to be in a car accident - Ryan was a very safe and gentle driver. I love that I can pay ahead on time and not have to fiddle with credit cards and receipts before I leave the car. And I especially love that I don't have to wait 20 to 30 minutes to get a ride home. I've been using My Shofer for nearly a year and a half now, and I've been remiss about writing my review. I travel quite a bit for work (almost 30 trips last year) and I've got it down to a science. As in, leave my house at 1.5 hrs before the flight so that as soon as I get through security and arrive at the gate, my group is boarding. This means that my ride to the airport can NOT be late - enter My Shofer. They are on time. Every. Single. Time. (Except once and they were on the ball about contacting me an hr before and letting me know they were running late. I was worried but the driver ended up being only 5 mins late.) The drivers are professional and polite; the cars are clean; and I can't find a cheaper price from SF to SFO. I use their services regularly and would totally recommend them! read more

Even though MyShofer has made some mistakes in the past, they've really gone out of their way and done everything in their power to make things right. They've offered me a free ride, assigned a particular driver to me, and even send the driver early to make sure nothing goes wrong again. I applaud their efforts. Due to BART strike, we tried My Shofer for the first time and were very pleased. Online reservation process was easy and we appreciate that you get a quote before committing. More expensive than Bayporter or SuperShuttle, but it's door-to-door and you don't have to wait for other passengers. About the same price as a cab too (we took car from SFO to east bay). Made reservation for 5p, even though our flight was scheduled to arrive at 4:30p. Flight actually landed early and we were happy to get a text from the driver at 4:30p saying he was already at the cell phone lot (we provided flight info when booking). Timothy was courteous and got us through traffic and home as fast as he could. He had memorized the entire route (no apparent use of GPS navigation). The driver arrived 5 min ahead of time and texted me. And when I had another service from the airport, as soon as the plane landed, I got a text message. Just flew in from Houston yesterday and used MyShofer to get from SFO to my place in San Francisco! I found them through the SFO website, saw that they were one of the few services with 5-star Yelp reviews, and reserved a Prius with Gate Meet the night before. Booking was a snap, and when my flight arrived an hour late, I saw a text message waiting in my inbox as soon as I got off the plane, letting me know where to spot my driver. I never needed to call dispatch, deal with payment the day-of, etc., because it was all handled through booking the night before, and when they saw that my plane was running late, they sent a driver at the correct time. I'd definitely recommend them, and would definitely use their service again! read more

When ya need them, they are there! Called same day to schedule a pickup for our Costa Rica trip, was a little worried the guy wouldn't show up on time, but he did! Got a courtesy call saying he was a few minutes away. Jay was driving a black Prius that was comfortable and well kept. The price is totally awesome, mention Yelp and you can do the flat rate of $46.10 to SFO. When we flew back, I gave them a call and scheduled the pickup at the airport and it was right on time even when our flight got delayed twice. Jay was our driver and he was friendly and prompt. I use MyShofer fairly regularly for airport transport. The drivers have always been prompt, courteous and reliable in my experience. I love that their service enables you to handle booking, payment, tip, everything ahead of time. However, I can't give them a perfect rating (more like 4.5 stars) because their customer service is pretty spotty. I had a minor billing issue with them once and was never able to reach them over the phone. It was eventually resolved a few days later via email. In the event that something came up that required a quicker response (driver no-show, etc), I'd worry about whether anyone would be available to handle it. read more

We decided to try this service based on the stellar reviews. Unfortunately, we did not experience the magic that everyone else apparently has....driver was 20 minutes late. (No proactive notice- it took a call to the dispatcher to find out where the driver was and then driver arrived 15 minutes after the "he'll be there in five minutes...") And then to add salt on the wound of being late the driver drove under the speed limit on the 280 as we were so anxious to get into downtown SF. Being 20 minutes late is pretty much the same reliability as a cab service, so why bother paying the premium prices for this service??? We will not use this company again. I am reviewing as of the morning I have arrived at SFO. My flight is scheduled to depart at 6am. Given the reviews I have read thus far about MyShofer, I had to give their service a shot. I was admittedly nervous because it really didn't seem that any airport transportation service was reliable in the city. All my fears were put at ease with MyShofer, and all my expectations have been exceeded. I made a reservation yesterday from their website MyShofer.com, which was very easy and intuitive to navigate. A quote is given to you upon entering the "from" and "to" addresses, where you could continue forward with the reservation. I felt the price was fair for the service I expected to obtain and the convenience of being the only passenger...I really didn't want to get up any early to make my flight! I was given the option to prepay on my credit card or pay at the time of service. I chose to prepay. I made my online reservation at 4:15am to pick me up from the Sunset District. My driver arrived fifteen minutes early. I can't tell you what a relief that was! I learned that my driver, named Ryan C, accepted my reservation as he resides closest to my pick up location. He told me that MyShofer has been around for about a year, and chatted about his personal commitment to the service that he provides. I honestly respect that. We all have work to do, and I appreciate individuals who will go above and beyond the scope of their position because they maintain that level of integrity. The car itself was an upgrade to a Towncar from the Prius class I reserved. Very clean, very comfortable. Soon after our conversation, I promptly arrived at SFO at 4:20am! Travelled from Australia in May 2013 and arrived in San Francisco at 11pm at night. I found My Shofer on Yelp and thought I would give them a try as all the other companies were a little pricey. When we travel we always choose a private transfer service especailly when we arrive late at night in a new country. I made the reservation online and the confirmation came through soon after. The whole process of booking was a breeze. When we arrived in San Francisco I had changed over my sim card so I knew the driver would have called my AUS mobile, I discovered 2 messages when I returned home, this was my error for not informing My Shofer. I called their number at 11.30pm and a real person answered, not some answering machine and we were informed our driver was waiting outside for us :) he even directed us to the exact location. It was so nice to jump in the big black Mercedes after a 16 hour flight and be taken to our accomodation near Fishermans Wharf. Every aspect of their service was immpeccable! Clean cars, great driver, on time service and excellent before and after customer service. We took this service to and from SFO to the hotel. The driver who picked us up from the airport showed up waaaay too early and was kind of impatiently texting me. One member of our party hadn't even landed and he was there asking where we should meet him. He was texting us at least a half hour earlier than our reservations. So, a little annoying. And, then, he makes some kind of racist joke about Asian drivers on the way to the hotel. (he wasn't asian, as far as I know, and we weren't either). Kind of awkward? Not sure why that was necessary? His driving was okay and the car was clean, just the comments were not cool. On the ride back to the airport, the driver was super nice. His car smelled super nice! Got us to the airport in record time. Would use again, just hope I don't get the creepy guy. read more

We had a wonderful experience with MyShofer! This service caters to both the San Francisco Bay Area and Napa Valley/ Sonoma- exactly what we were looking for! I booked our service with Tom, who set up our pick up time and location when we landed in San Francisco. We set up our service to have a driver everyday while we were in Napa (so we wouldn't have to worry about drinking and driving!) and our last two days in San Francisco. This was MORE than just a driving service. Tom showed us 2 wineries that were not on our itinerary that ended up being our absolute favorite, and gave us the best tour of San Francisco! He knew a lot of spots that only locals or frequent visitors would know about, which made our experience so much better. We highly recommend this service to make most of your time and your experience in both Napa Valley and San Fransisco. And if you just need a ride from the airport to Napa and back, this is the best way to do it! Fairly terrible. They were an hour late picking up my family from the airport. When I called the driver he claimed to be a few minutes away on 101. 20 minutes later he claimed he was on his way but got a ticket from CHP for texting while driving. 20 minutes after that he was still a no show. Basically he was lying to me the entire time on the phone....or he was engaging in risky and illegal behavior. Either way, not what you want from a professional driver! The customer service is non existent. The phone line has 2 choices, book a new reservation or technical support for the website. You're screwed if you want to call up about an existing reservation to find out where your driver actually is. Also, I made the reservation for my father and emailed them to change the contact info from me to my father. They claimed to, but the driver ended up calling me. It was a good thing I decided to meet my family at SFO just in case. This was terrible service all around, and I can't warn people enough not to use this service. read more

Cars were clean and the rides were uneventful which is exactly what I need when I need to get to the airport. I like that I can pay including tip prior to the ride. Like the other reviewers, I needed a ride to SFO early on a Sunday morning. They never showed up, so I can't give much more than one star. The dispatcher I talked to to schedule the pickup was courteous, though. The dispatch line didn't have anyone answer when I called immediately and after the scheduled time. It seems like multiple things went wrong on their end. Luckily, an Uber driver was ~2 minutes away, and provided phenomenal service for minimally more than this service would have been. If you're going to try this service for something critical, I advise having a backup plan. read more

Dispatcher called by phone to clarify credit card info and confirm ride. Booked a town car because I expected to have luggage. Alex was our driver both directions. The car was clean and clean-smelling. Alex called as soon as our plane doors opened to confirm he was in the holding lot. I returned the call a few minutes later to let him know where we were standing. He was there within five minutes, as promised. For the return Alex was on time for the pick up, and negotiated a tricky route through rush-hour traffic to find our way to the 101. Recently my buddies and I were at the party in a restaurant in South- San Francisco, our designated driver Corey decided to get drunk! We needed someone to drive his vehicle home. We couldn't have possibly left his car at the restaurant's parking lot, because it would've created a logistical nightmare for Corey the next morning and $$ for overnight parking fees. I used these guys on a recent trip to The City....its was only a few dollars more then a taxi or shuttle BUT totally worth it. on time pickup both at the airport and Hotel on the way back to the airport. I chose the Prius... if I remember correctly Paul was our driver and he is the jedi master of the prius ...mad props to him and getting around town. Friendly and extremely efficient!!! what else could you ask for. I was able to make the reservation online they email you a confirmation.... I requested a driver to and from the airport for my trip to Taiwan only a few days prior to my flight. I was a little hesitant, because nothing is perfect right? Wrong! MyShofer is perfect! I am shocked, because something in my life always tends to go wrong, but not this time. My driver was early each time, and he notified me in advance that he had arrived, even via text message. I've used these guys a few times. My last experience was the guy was really late and I was freaking out about missing my flight. I had called a couple of times and the dispatcher wasn't so helpful. The guy finally arrives and we get tot he aiport. Then he charges my cc only the charge thing wasn't working. Now mind you, I was already running late. Luckily, my flight was delayed so I was able to catch my flight. I think they could have done better on customer service and give me a credit or partial credit given the harrowing stress I had to go through.
