I want to give a shout-out to the staff of Island Adventure Watersports. We just finished a…read moretwo-hour jet ski tour and had a great time! The staff proved to be considerate, professional, and cordial even in the face of some customers who did not extend the same courtesy. One of the scheduled parties was running late. The staff called the party several times to give them grace and the opportunity to make the tour. That was above and beyond expectations and quite courteous, especially considering the policy outlined in the booking verification email. That party was able to participate because of that kindness. Once the tour got going, my spouse and I fell a bit behind. Yet, one staff member waited and led the way without complaint. She checked in with us and also recognized quickly when we later lost a hat (we were able to retrieve it, fortunately). She circled back to get us. At one point, a customer got stuck in some trees. The two staff members coordinated with one another to help the stuck individual and still attend to the rest of the group. The staff also had to contend with folks repeatedly ignoring safety protocol, yet kept their cool in the face of these circumstances. Our trip was great in spite of the hiccups caused by other parties, and the staff get full credit for making this tour as awesome as it was! Thank you for a memorable, fun, and unique experience! I highly recommend this tour and company!

What a Total watersport experience. We started with a Sailboat Ride the first day. Captain Jake…read morewas an experienced sailor and made the ride really fun and wet. He was a pleasure to talk with and had a lot of great recommendations for other activities at Downwind Sails as well as other Myrtle Beach locations. We decided to parasail on day two. I have parasailed in a lot of other destinations, but this is the most professional and safety conscious crew that still know how to make it FUN. Not to mention, you get a free banana boat ride to and from the Parasail boat. Will definitely be back for more.

We arrived at around 1:45pm hoping to be able to book for a 2pm slot and thankfully, they were super accommodating. Once we signed our waivers, we paid the parasailing fee ($98pp after tax) and the additional photo fee which was $30. After we dropped off all of our belongings at the Reservation Area, we were directed to the beach to grab our life vests. With it being Mid June, the sand was very hot but once we got to the water, we were fine. What we were unaware of was the banana boat that we had to take to get to the parasailing boat. It was definitely a pleasant surprise but a fun experience nonetheless. Once we arrived to the parasailing boat, the guys were extremely helpful and informative. They hooked us up to the harnesses and gave us a quick rundown of the rules. Parasailing was, by far, one of the most breathtaking and invigorating experiences I've ever had! I absolutely loved it and it was quite peaceful. Unfortunately, my friend did get queasy after a while so we had to cut our ride a bit short but the guys were very nice and made sure to give my friend some water until the other couple finished their ride. The rides lasted maybe 8-10 mins. If you're planning to visit Myrtle Beach or even live in the area, definitely check out Downwind Sails Watersports. There are height and weight restrictions so definitely check out their site for all the details but the staff were wonderful and the parasailing was amazing!

I also appreciated the text messages with updates. Captain Rocko was easy to understand on the sound speaker and very personable. Sandra had an amazing ability to pour rum punch on a rocking boat. The representative I spoke with told me they were running an end-of-season special for $79 per person. I specifically understood that price to apply throughout the day, regardless of the time we selected. On August 25, I called back ready to lock in our seats. The representative initially acknowledged the $79 per-person price and then asked what time I wanted. When I said around 12 or 1 PM, she suddenly told me the afternoon price was $89 per person. So I switched and asked for a morning time instead. Somehow, that was $89 per person too. That was enough for me to walk away from the reservation. When a customer calls one day, receives a specific advertised/special price, and calls back the very next day ready to book, the pricing shouldn't suddenly change depending on which representative answers the phone. Whether this was poor communication between employees or misleading pricing, it left a very bad impression. Be careful, confirm the total price before giving any payment information, and get the quoted price in writing if possible. I won't be booking with them. Good luck.

Shoreline had my refund processed that day, even before our scheduled parasailing time. They told everyone they were very sorry they couldn't serve us. I know it may seem strange to see a great review when service was not received. But in my mind, the service in this case was refunding our money quickly when the weather cancelled our adventure. I can't wait until next year - we will definitely schedule with Shoreline again. And I hope Mother Nature will cooperate.

Captain Richard even calmed their nerves before going parasailing! It seems like most of the complaints on here are based on people trying to sit/swim in the area of the beach that's designated with signs for them to load and unload people onto the boats for parasailing and banana boating. This is a safety issue as you could get hit by a sea doo while they pick up and drop off. Kind of seems like common sense. Not sure why people are upset about their kids not being allowed to swim/play in this area, as it would be very dangerous. If you're in the area, you should definitely give this place a call. You won't regret it!

They picked up the Bike yesterday and I am a half hour away from the dealership so this is a significant gesture. I will update again once I have the motorcycle back I will make a final updated rating. I brought a 2006 Kawasaki 250 KLX in for new tires, plugs and an oil change. I was quoted $600 to $650. It seemed a bit steep but at $165 an hour labor charge the math seemed about right. I just got the bike back and now there is a fuel leak evidenced by the drips below the bike and the smell. In addition, there is a bolt that was left off and put in the saddle bag without informing me or any explanation. And to top it all off my total bill out the door was over $1022 after an estimate of 600 to $650. 57% over estimate seems like a problem to me.

I ask if they can help me out by removing the $170 diagnostic fee since I'm already spending an arm and a leg on a bike that should've been checked better before they sold me it and said it's my problem.... They wouldn't even do that.... Won't be going back there for service maintenance or anything else....
