Such a terrific ballpark! A fun evening to spend watching a ballgame. Would wait for night game for weather purposes. Lots of parking and not too bad of a walk to get to the entrance. Very clean and well maintained facility. The people from the ticket window, to the gate, to the mascots, to the attendants that bring around bags for trash/recycling (brilliant - wish other ballparks would do this) were so incredibly helpful and friendly. The people make this a terrific experience. You feel so welcomed and are thanked numerous times for coming. There are beaches and regular stadium seats. There's also suites available there are 2 covered areas which are awesome. Wish they had industrial fans up on the poles (high enough up to not block views - so doable) to help with the heat. Lots of refreshments and options for snacks/foods. Very reasonable prices and food is good quality. Had hot dog and popcorn (it was fresh). They do have. Bat beer container for $25 (see pic). Ticket prices are absolutely reasonable for the game! Great way to have a family night out without breaking the bank or even an adult/date night. They have number of options for food, snacks and beverages throughout the ballpark. They have a great line up of game day food and beverage specials depending on the day of the week. Parking is free and convenient with a short walk to the stadium. We went to a Pelican's game while vacationing in Mrytle. I love baseball. Love it. I found out I really love minor league games too, something I didn't realize. It's not the same caliber game as the major's but that's part of its charm. The tickets are very affordable, and you get a glimpse of small-town life in the teams. We attended a weekday game a couple days before the 4th of July. There were a decent number of fans in attendance, and we sat and enjoyed the warm summer night. My favorite part was watching Slider the bat dog retrieves the bats after hits. He was fantastic! The lines to purchase drinks/food were long in comparison to other parks, but I still managed to get to the Pro Shop and purchase a T-shirt. If nothing else the team has a great name. I was invited to join my Cousin and his Fiancee for a game here. The Peicans played the team from Columbia, SC. There was a fair amount of scoring and so the action was good. The Pelicans held the lead going into the 9th but the bull pen fell apart and the lost 5-4. We had great seats on the field level behind the dugout for $21.00 bucks. I liked that parking was free and it was easy to get in and out out of the parking lot from the hiway. read more

Such a fun experience for adults and children if you are looking to do something different in Myrtle Beach- especially if that something is completely affordable! Been to quite a few minor league ball parks over the years and felt that this place definitely offered the best prices all around for food and alcoholic beverages. Speaking of food, my husband and I ordered the pork bbq nachos and I couldn't believe how great they were! Juicy, hot and delicious! However, waiting on the lines to get anything can take quite a long time, and I also feel they should install some fans on the inside part of the ballpark because in the summer it gets insanely hot waiting on those lines! Other than that though, the stadium as a whole is well maintained. Yesterday, I came here with my mom, husband and step-father and we all had a great time. I must say the MVP that stole our hearts was their dog named Slider and he also happened to be the bat boy, or should I say bat dog? Nonetheless, he was still a very cute good boy! We also went during the weekend of the Fourth of July and they put on a great firework show after the game and it was awesome! Overall I would be very happy to come back! read more

Great experience Mason McGwire I admire how humble he was. My younger son called his name twice and he came out and gave him an autograph. The only reason he came was to see him and get his autograph. My son went by the bullpen to watch the pitchers warm up. Also, thank you to Kenyi Perez that gave my boy a signature on his baseball as well. We sat by the bullpen since we had purchased the buffet and tickets package since we had big group. The buffet was okay, they serve burgers,hotdogs, chicken, coleslaw, baked beans. To drink you get pink lemonade, water and very good sweet tea. My older son played catch with one of the players without even asking and that was super nice. The game started and it was fun. They have a bat dog named slider that goes and grabs the bat after each batter hits and he takes them in the dugout. They have good deals on beer but you need to check what day to go on. You have to go to the merch store and pick up at least a nice hat. We loved the experience and memories my boys are going to have from great players from your organization. read more

Great time at the Pelicans game! The food was excellent with some Chicago classics as this is a Cubs affiliate. The Chicago Dog was excellent with all of the toppings you'll find in Chi-town. The Italian Beef lacked the texture and flavor of a great sandwich you'll find in Chicago, but it was swimming in "gravy" and had plenty of hot giardinara to give it that spicy, drippy, Chicago experience. The Deep Dish Burger was okay... two mini pizzas as a bun with a half pound patty in the middle. But I had to order it just because it was there. They have an awesome selection of local craft beers and of course the 24 ounce baseball bat glass, if you want to lug that thing around. You can always cut the handle off and use it as a funnel for your lawnmower when you get home. read more

Sometimes you can catch some great promotions here like free bobblehead night, or free jersey night, but I wish they had a lot more of them. Additionally, they do some decent beer promotions like 2 dollar craft beer Friday's, but again, I'd like more of them! They could definitely use some better food promos; they certainly make some serious bank off the tourist crowd that totes the whole fandamily to the park. Couple gripes; the p.a. announcer never shuts up from the moment you enter the stadium until you leave and they play music after what seems like nearly every pitch. It's not a relaxing atmosphere at all. Hebrew National hot dogs suck and are way overpriced at $3.50 per. They do serve Chick-Fil-A down the left field line concourse (9 bucks for a sammich and fries). They do a pre-game autograph signing before nearly every game, right down there on the field and this seems to be a great location to bring you kids...sucks for the rest of us that hate your kids, but whatever. Apparel in the store is way overpriced, but they do offer a few 10 dollar hats if you just gotta buy something. One very noticeable thing about the stadium is that a lot of the seats are literally broken so when you sit in one you nearly fall out of the seat. I watched a woman's seat bottom literally break as she was sitting in it and she fell to the ground. It was crazy. She had to move to another seat. Water fountain water is super hot and the ticket takers check all bags and will not allow you to bring in any food or beverage of any kind, not even a water. Yep...nothing allowed in at all. Lame. Tip: buy ticket vouchers at Costco down at Coastal Grand Mall area and exchange vouchers at the Pelicans box office; it will save you about 6 bucks a ticket for field level seating. read more

This is a great little stadium! My dad has been a Cubs fan since he was a little boy growing up in Chicago. Value: We came on a $1 draft night. It only lasted 6-8 though, boo. Tickets were $11 which wasn't too bad. I actually didn't see the price for food. Family fun: There were lots of activities for the kiddos. You can get a bracelet for $5 and be able to have unlimited use of all the games for the kids. My kids just did the bouncy house which was $1 for 5 minutes. BONUS, there is a great playground by right field... so when the kids get a little antsy from being confined to a seat, it's good to let them loose over there. Food: I guess there are a lot of Chicago foods there. I didn't even look at the food options bc I was wrangling 3 kids. My dad bought us all Chicago dogs. They were... interesting. For a ballpark that opened in 2001 it still looks brand new. The affiliates have changed over the years, like many minor league ballparks around the country. This was the Braves, Astros & Rangers Class A home before the current team the Pelicans.It is definitely one of the smaller parks that I've ever been to. If I had to guess 3500 would be capacity. Ticket prices are so very inexpensive. It makes for a nice evening out with family and friends. Ours cost $15.00 sitting 3 rows from the field by first base. Now that the Cubs are the sponsor they have a Clark & Addison Grille down the right field line. Also of note, someone sings "Take me out to the ballgame" in the Harry Carey booth for the 7th inning stretch. They also have a pretty good selection of local craft beers. But, since it was $2.00 beer night the lines were very long and I only went once. But the Carolina Blond hit the spot on a warm summer evening. read more

Hands down the best single A ball field I have ever been to! We had a family night at the ball park with my extended family and everyone enjoyed themselves (and you know that rarely happens when the whole family is together). I loved this park for the same reason I love most other parks, solid food and drink choices. They even have signs up around the park with beer maps, which are also on the back of the program. I was able to try some local beers and finish the evening off with wine slushies--YUM! It was a fun night for my cousin's son, too because they have so much for kids to do! They have a mini park with slides, a bricked area for kids to run the bases, face painting, and inflatables. The Pelicans boasted being one of the cleanest ball parks, and it is easy to see why. After two innings in the game we had a chance to pass down our trash and recyclables for the ushers to take. I also loved their "ball dog". Initial thoughts: Minor league baseball in the heart of a shopping district . (Broadway at the beach is across the street.) Cons: Parking was a bit confusing but got sorted out. Pros: Affordable prices for food and seats. Great selection of local beers. WINE SLUSHIES! (God's gift to mankind.) Friendly vendors players and people. Beautiful ball park. Plentiful bathrooms. Entertaining PR events like races and bubble ball sumo wrestling in between innings to head off any lulls in action. Conclusion: Worth every penny ; do yourself/family a favor and attend a pelicans ballgame. Hours if entertsiment and s great value . Other thoughts : In a world of nickle and dimes...Parking was free! Typical baseball food offerings. Cotton candy, nachos ,peanuts crackerjack. Burgers. Announcer and PR crew put on a good show despite the drumming the pelicans took. A true family fun experience. It was make your own slime night. There's a playground area. Radar gun pitching area to test how fast you can throw a baseball. Scored free tix in the 301 bleacher section (left field) bless that amazing couple! I love this team & the experience I received, each time my family and I go to the ball game. I was last there on 6-2-2018. That day I had the most fun I've had in years, as did my wife & son. I was honored along with the other veterans, that night. In a contest in the middle of an inning, I was blind folded on top of the dug out, and was to taste the surprise pizza, then guess the meat on it. I guessed that it was buffalo chicken. I won pizza for my whole section 106. Later after the game I rolled those big dice on the field. I won a party for 15 guest. I was then supposed to contact Todd C. to set up a date for that party. Unfortunately I had to work a lot last year, and couldn't' use the party that I won. My loss. Anyway, I want to thank the Myrtle Beach Pelican's and their office staff for a great memorable day. Excellent night out. Seats and food is so inexpensive!!!! Our whole night out was under $50! Not a bad seat in the whole park. So much to do for kids. There's some activity in between almost every inning. So kid friendly and we even got a foul ball! Myrtle Beach Pelicans are affiliates of the Chicago Cubs. We had so much fun. While on our annual vacation to Myrtle beach we were looking for something different to do. So we decided to catch a Pelicans game. So glad we did. We had a blast. The stadium is small but that is expected with a single A ball club. But its a nice stadium. Everything you need is there. We got tickets in the outfield bleachers and had a couple home run balls land within rows of us. And to top it off, the Pelicans pulled out a come from behind win. My only visit to Myrtle Beach was sheer torture, stung by a sea nettle when I ventured into the ocean, wading through tourist hell at Wal-Mart when I went to buy groceries for the condo, and nothing to do aside from that lame strip mall boardwalk thing. But baseball makes everything better. Coastal Federal Field is a nice Single-A ballpark with a wide open concourse wrapping around the infield and plentiful cheap seats. Sat on the first base side and watched the hometown 9 take on the Kinston Indians, final was something like 6-4 in favor of Kinston with the teams trading homers in the middle innings and some solid relief in the late innings. A storm off the coast brought a pleasant breeze as dusk fell. Drinking a cold beer and watching lightning flash on the horizon I felt that somehow the trip was worth all the trouble. read more

One of the best minor league parks I have visited, and I have visited many. This is the home of the Class A Myrtle Beach Pelicans, most class A being important in the development of pitchers in particular. All the seats are good, although none are under ten dollars, which is weird for Class A level baseball (these guys are the old and relocated Durham Bulls of "Bull Durham" fame), but the parking is free, and there is fun (and food) for the whole family. Plus, if you are a Chicago Cubs fan, they are, as of 2015 a minor league affiliate of everyone's favorite band of lovable Northside losers, so come on out and sing "Take Me Out to the Balllgame" just like Harry! Maybe this move will be what finally puts Chicago over the top! And you can say you were there when it all started! read more

Wow - what an enjoyable experience and ballpark. OK - it's single "A" but it is single A "advanced" which is one step below AA which is one step below AAA which is one step below Majors. But these are still professional baseball players under contract so if you enjoy baseball you will enjoy this baseball - actually more enjoyable in some ways because you see more interesting situations and plays :-) But here is the deal and why my review is 5-stars and why I would choose this ballpark over any MLB park: 1. Tickets are affordable! 2. Parking is free! 3. Programs are free! 4. Getting in and out is EASY! (like 10-15 minutes from your seat to leaving the parking lot) 5. Great small town feel. A slice of Americana. Like I imagine MLB baseball used to be before greed and commercialism took over. 6. Great food and beverage selections. 7. Things for the kids to do when they get tired of sitting (or the adults). 8. You can walk around and check out different seats/views without being hassled. 9. The baseball is professional (albeit a little rough around the edges) 10. It's a slice of Americana, in a good way. And staff is friendly. Oh - and you might see tomorrow's superstar. We took our three year old and our five year old to a game. The tickets were about $50 which seemed expensive at first. However, the stadium is nice and spacious with great sight lines. Food is relatively cheap and plentiful. The kids got their faces painted and there were some other activities for kids (cost is $1). When my oldest boy got stung by bees in the outfield bleachers, they had EMT's come out and check him and they gave him a game ball. After the game there was a great fireworks show and the kids got to run the bases. We spent about four and a half hours at the park and were entertained the while time. read more
