I had never been to a Battery game and it was so much fun. We arrived right at start time and took a lap to check it out. They have a few bar areas and lots of local eats like Coop burgers (and their frose) and we ended up getting a pizza from Coastal Crust. It took a while but we ordered and came back in 30 mins so it was no prob. We hung out for a while on the side of the field and then went to go find our seats. All the staff were sure helpful and nice except one lady checking everyone's tickets to get to the seats. She was saying that everyone from the other section tries to sit in the main section and so she was checking every ticket to get to seats. It caused a huge bottleneck and people were missing the game because she wouldn't let people in as they were relocating their ticket on their phone or something. Another lady took over and did t seem to care and everything went a lot smoother. And guess what, there was no shortage of seats in that section! The Battery got smoked by Miami but we had a fun time. Pro tip: if you are in the far side of the stadium when the game ends, you get stuck cause they block the walkway to let the players exit. We were over there for 15-20 mins waiting to leave. It was cool that the players stopped to talk to the kids and fans. Maybe make an announcement in the general area that you're about to be trapped.

While this is a minor league soccer team, it is one of the oldest such teams in the country and given that there are no major league professional sports in South Carolina, the team is a relatively prominent feature of Charleston's culture, with a team store downtown. The stadium they're currently operating out of is a beautiful area just across the bridge from downtown which is primarily a college stadium. For a minor league team, it was an awfully expensive ticket, with prices going up at the last minute, which is a new trend that I'm not in favor of. They required a security screening and had significant bag limitations, protecting all of us from the threat of terrorist attacks on minor league soccer games. People just parked in the grass on the side of the nearby road a mile in either direction; the alternative was also given to park (and be gouged for it) at the military museum nearby. The game was a good experience for what it was; Lionel Messi is not showing up anytime soon but it was a fun time despite a surprisingly languid home crowd. There was a pretty wide selection of food trucks and some games set up around the periphery for a brief halftime. I'm not sure there's a better sports team to go watch in Charleston, but it also seems like they could make significant changes to make it a better fan experience.

We got ticket in the $7 tickets night for the bleachers seat. It was such a spectacular view of the field and bridge during sunset. We loved it . It was also $2 bud light night so yay! So to park the do let you know which parking space and how much it is and where to park. We choose to park in the purple lot for $5 with the view of the Yorktown. We loved it . It was about a 3-min walk from the stadium . We reach about 7pm the game starts 7.30pm. We got ourselves some Home Team barbecue wings and drink and went to sit down. They were about 3/4 more other vendors there, Chick Fil A, Coup Burger, Coastal Crust and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Popcorn and peanuts are available but no funnel cakes. We got some pizza from Coastal Crust it was yummy ! Game was really exciting t was 2-0 less than 3 mins into the game . Total of 7 goals were scored that night for this game . Game ended we were trying to get out when the guard told us we can use this exit until the players were all off the field. We waited for at least 10-15 mins and everyone started getting a little frustrated because the exit is right there block with two cones and a man. And they were so many people and players still on the field warming down. At last some one burst of and the guard man handled that man. Everyone else just walk out the exit disregarding that man. It was suppose to be a 5 star but the exit chaos really got out of hand for me

Beautiful sunset over the soccer field.
