Internet Ad from this Dealership on the vehicle I wanted to buy.
LJ M.

I'm a 7-time Jeep owner and have had at least 1 Jeep in my driveway for 30+ years. I'm as die-hard a Jeeper as there is. My visit here this week to test drive and buy a new Willy's Gladiator was my single worst experience EVER, at a Jeep Dealership (in this case a "Stealership"). The Dealer had it marked down from $47K to $39K with "Employee Pricing" and Rebates. It was all posted on the their website....(photo attached) Salesman Mike took me through the vehicle and let me drive it. Nice guy, professional, did a good job. Then I got handed off to the Sales Manager (Zack). This is when I learned that "Employee Pricing" is not a fixed $ amount from Jeep, but actually whatever concocted # he wants to write down on paper. I guess he thought I was dumb, because he reduces the employee pricing and rebates by thousands and insists the best he can do is $45K......telling me "I don't think I can even get you this price, but if you sign (the worksheet), my boss will know you're committed and I'll fight for you". I tell him that this is not a good price. His confident poker face turned to one of irritation. Eventually, I showed him his own internet ad with the offered discounts. He first tells me "that can't be right" but then writes up on the worksheet with the $39K and adds a garbage dealer add-on (that was already included in the internet ad) of nitrogen in tires, wheel locks, and floor mats for $2K, plus a host of other fees and taxes. I told him I was no longer interested. How can anyone do business like this.... where rebates are optional, "employee pricing" is just an invented amount, and the dumber the Sales Manager thinks you are, the more they reduce the discount? How does the GM tolerate this? Now I know why Carvana, Vroom, and others are thriving.

At Myrtle Beach Jeep, my experience was nothing short of what I experienced when buying my Infiniti and BMW.

We called first thing Monday morning and were connected with Beach Truck and RV Center, a separate facility of Beach Automotive We were told to bring the truck in that morning. Diagnostics were run and the issue was a particle sensor. As it would take a few hours we were shuttled back to our campsite and then picked up when the issue was fixed. I took my 2019 Ford Ranger to Beach Ford in Myrtle Beach for a 70,000 mile transmission fluid flush and a couple other things spent over $3000 2 1/2 months later I started hearing this strange noise. On the third month I started to get this jerking and hesitation. At first, I thought it was just a bad gas. On the 4 month my transmission light came on. I looked underneath my truck and I had this fluid everywhere. I took it to the dealership, Beach Ford. Jon the man behind the counter was so rude and so inconsiderate. He told me that it will take about 3 to 4 days to look at. I asked him if I could use a loaner car, he immediately jumped and said no. I explained to him that I need to get to work. He replied back to me and said I'm sorry, but that's not my problem. I immediately went on my phone and started looking for a rental vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't not remember the man that worked in the loaner vehicle department. He asked me if I needed a loaner and he was extremely nice and grateful and set me up with a loaner within 30 minutes. The rude man, Jon called me about four hours later and told me that I need a new transmission $9600. It's going to cost. I immediately went back to Beach Ford can I explain to him? I just had my vehicle serviced in here and they flushed out the transmission. Again, he was rude and told me that's not my issue. You just have a bad transmission. Now I am looking for a transmission repair replacement shop. I don't think I will ever come back to Beach Ford again.

Of course, they didn't find where the sound was coming from, but they did find that the vehicle had a leaking radiator. So that was fixed but they also found that the weld between the radiator and the bumper was cracked. They said that they would have to replace the part that was welded which was going to cost over $1500. I took it to a welder and had it repaired. They do not have a welded, so they rather replace parts. Which I think is ridiculous! After that being said. After those 2 weeks I had to take the vehicle was back in the shop for another sound on the left side. Which they found and took care of it. It was a small piece of wood stuck in the brake. I left the vehicle there again for another week so they can try to find the same sound that I was previously hearing. They finally found the sound!! The hydraulics shocks needed to be replaced. I would NOT recommend this dealership to purchase a used vehicle from. They do not inspect the vehicles thoroughly before reselling them. As I was told by the sales manager they check to see if the vehicle is safe to drive. They check fluids and change windshield wipers if needed! What a joke!! They don't seem to care if the vehicle isn't sound to resell! I will Never do business with them again! Buyers be a were!!!

That'll be a separate review for that dealership, but I digress. I took it to Hyundai since the car was a Hyundai Veloster, thinking they would have the expertise to fix their own brand of car. They charge me $3k to fix the clutch. My boyfriend picks it up, drives it 13 miles to work and back twice, and the clutch fails again. The dealership takes absolutely no accountability for the failure and blames my boyfriend for "driving it badly." Bro. My boyfriend has been driving manual for approx 20 years, and even a 13-year-old practicing driving on mommy's car wouldn't have resulted in that severe of a clutch failure after four short drives (which the service manager Jason shamelessly lied about and said there were 200 miles put on it since the repair. Not true. I know where that car was being driven and how long it was driven for. Pure gaslighting tactic.) I consistently tried to reason with Jason explaining that I recognized everything regarding the reality of the situation, and he was consistently condescending in his lies. Jason... I still know my boyfriend didn't destroy this clutch. Your employees inadvertently admitted that they encounter very limited instances of fixing manual cars, and that was evident by how mine was repaired. But it was the manipulation and refusal to take responsibility for me. I begged them to examine it for free to make sure they installed the new clutch properly. They refused for two weeks straight. I had to have it towed away back to my home to do God knows what with it after paying this dealership $3k to fix it, have it fail again almost immediately, and have them not even be willing to investigate the POSSIBILITY that they f*cked something up. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Do not buy a car from here, do not take your car here to get it fixed. They're scumbag liars.
