After the delivery and during all the check ups which usually I schedule at the end of day, you'd think he'd be exhausted, Dr. Nick is always pleasant, caring and answering all our concerns and explaining everything to us. A number of times, i had to call to ask questions and Dr. Nick returned my calls in a timely manner or was asked to bring the baby in right away. The staff is friendly and the office is clean. FAX OR MAIL. Who operates with a fax machine in their home these days? I said "Can I email it to you and you can print it?" They said, "We don't have an email you can send the form to." It's 2020. Get with it. You're part of a multi-location hospital system. Oh, and once the form is received... it takes 10-15 days for them to fax out the records. TEN TO FIFTEEN DAYS. IT IS 2020, PEOPLE. Ok Fine. So I went to Staples in a pandemic with my gloves and mask for god sake. I faxed it to them. Meanwhile... this is while I am trying to work from home with a 4 month old, like I have a lot of time on my hands. Lo and behold, they said they didn't get it. Probably because relying on fax machines as a form of communication is WACK. By the time I return to Astoria, I hope they've up'ed their game.

There's no game of telephone and they follow through on requests without issue. This alone shows how well run the office is and how much they value their patients. Our main doctor was Dr. Brian Chung but depending on the day, we may see one of the different doctors who practice there. The doctors who we have seen are all very good but with different pros. Each doctor has listened to our concerns and addresses them patiently. The doctors are also very thorough and like to schedule follow ups to ensure your child is progressing if they are sick. They will also run tests to ensure an accurate diagnosis and prescribe medication for the comfort of your child. Some parents might not need this hands on approach but I like the certainty of knowing my child's diagnosis (even if it is just the common cold!). If your insurance coverage is not comprehensive or if you have high co-pays this might be something to consider. Pre-COVID the waiting area was often full and the wait could be quite a while (the downside of a popular office!) but during/post COVID, wait times have decreased dramatically as has the occupancy in the waiting room. They now also offer televisits which has been a great way to do any quick follow up visits without leaving home. After visiting another doctors office that is closer to our home, we realized how caring and personal this office is and that is truly invaluable. Hoping that this office always retains these great qualities!

However, when it became apparent our son had a chronic condition, they were very unresponsive. Dr. Tong Miller is actually really great and the only pediatrician I would trust--I would give her 5 stars. Dr. Moustofi is negative 4 stars--he doesn't respond to messages for months even after I tried to follow up. The final straw was that he didn't tell us our son failed his hearing test during a well visit but billed us with a sick visit on top of the well visit. When I asked why we were being billed and why were getting a surprise referral to an audiologist--that's when he left a message saying he failed. No medical counseling provided. I paid the surprise bill just so I could sever ties with tribeca entirely. What's alarming is that they didn't perform the hearing test in a quiet room--instead they did it in an exam room where there was music blasting from the exercise studio next door which is why our son failed his test. We're at Mt Sinai now and much happier. Their hearing tests are performed in a quiet room. They're part of a larger network with in-house specialists. The doctors always respond within a day.

One star because after a few years of declining the hpv shot, my son was given the shot in "error"…read more I called the office and said that my son needed paperwork filled out for college and possibly the menegitis shot and I advised my son he might be getting the menegitis vaccine. When he arrived to the office the receptionist told the medical assistant that my son already had the meningitis shot so the only other vaccine would be the hpv. No Dr. saw him, the medical assistant did not advise what vaccine he was injecting and so my son assumed it was meningits and asked afterwards only to be told no it was the hpv shot. How does a receptionist make that decision, how does a medical assistant not say what he is injecting, how is there no note in my son's chart that I have said over and over no hpv shot and how was all of this done without a dr. seeing him. I was in the car and came into the office where no one could explain the rationale. Dr. Galanis called me later to apologize with some bogus excuse which is not an excuse bc college does not require hpv and no receptionist should be making a decision. In addition, due to mix ups in their office my daughter had to go back several times for the correct script for bloodwork etc. to get her college paperwork filled out. my daughter needed some updated records for college. Dr. Gonzalez said to my daughter today that we need to figure out which vaccines we need and brought up the hpv issue, no Dr. your office was specifically told numerous time neither of my kids were getting the hpv shot and when you receive school documents your office and you as a Dr. are supposed to review the forms, their charts and discuss what is needed and fill out the forms accurately. I was planning on switching my kids since they are now college age and now I regret not doing it sooner. I cannot recommend this practice.

We have loved all the physicians who have cared for our little one, including Dr. Hate, Dr. Guidera, Dr. Chu and others who have since left the practice (Dr. Shah, Dr. Martino), and the front desk staff (Dawnmarie and Ivette are who we've worked with the most) and medical staff are terrific as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice for their attentiveness, compassion, and thoughtful and thorough care. For after-hour emergencies, you can call the line, and an answering service will forward your inquiry to one of the doctors on call. We've always received prompt callbacks when it's been late at night or weekends. The Queens practice is not open on weekends, so we've gone to the location in Manhattan on Saturdays. The practice is very centrally located, across the street from the enormous transportation hub, where you'll find buses and trains (E, F, M, R, 7). The office is on the 3rd floor and there's an elevator that can easily transport you and your stroller. Thanks, MQP, for taking such great care of my little one!

My doctor is Khurram Awan, he is very helpful and he solved every health situation I was facing. Ps: I really have to say something about the previous reviews because it is not fair. How can someone not appreciate the great service they provide. - First the review from Heather that said only good things about their service and she rates them 4-stars. What more do you need from a doctor that has been there for you day and night and helped you with whatever he could? Stars are free, don't be cheap, especially when they are addressed to people that have been there for you. - Second is about Ferdinando's review, that received great service and is giving 4-stars for the parking situation. The review supposed to be only for the service and everything else inside their ambient, this has nothing to do with your ability to park, the traffic on the way there, or the weather. - Third I will include Jackie's review here so she doesn't feel left out. I was in that situation as well, but I found out that is not the receptionists fault or neither of the pharmacy, the insurance sometimes does delay the medications approval. And, I definitely don't think they are for a 3-star rating.
