Found this company (Luis) after trying unsuccessfully to get another highly rated company to even return a phone call or message left on their website. Luis promptly retuned a call and came out to give an estimate. Here's one thing... We've been dealing with quite a few contractors lately and it seems that to be a contractor you have to sign a pact in blood to either be late or not show at all. Luis shredded that hypothesis to pieces. He was spot on time for both estimate and install. Everyone that has reviewed him/this company here says it was great... For us, DITTO! Superior quality at a fair price! Luis and his partner Felix did an amazing job! They were lower than other estimates we received and much more knowledgable on equipment that would give us the most "bang for our buck". Our speakers have the clarity and sound we wanted and because of the money they saved us, we were able to afford a subwoofer and 2 extra ceiling speakers (mounted and painted so you bearly know they're there) They have a lot of experience so are able to recommend and customize everything based on your budget and living space. They care that you get the highest quality in equipment and customer service. When we had a question, he returned our call immediately and came out to our house after hours. Everything works perfectly and exactly as promised. We have ONE remote that controls everything (even the lighting) which is awesome! It's simple and easy to use( this is the wife speaking!) This review is long overdue. A few months ago we moved into a new house and I was looking for a home theater specialist to (1) mount three TVs (one over a brick fireplace and another over a decorative wood trim wall), (2) wire and install surround sound speakers and in-ceiling speakers and (3) wire networking cables from the first floor to a homerun closet located on the second floor. I got a quote from one of the bigger shops in town and, frankly, was taken aback by the price. Then I reached out to Luis and not only did he give me a quote that was significantly lower in price but after talking with him, I could tell he was much more experienced than the other guys. By way of example, to install the in-ceiling speakers, the other guys seemed to throw up their hands and say it would require a minimum of three holes going up the wall (in order to route the wire) to the install point and they would not clean it up. On the other hand, Luis said he could handle it without a single hole in the wall so it would be a completely clean install (he was right). Luis was extremely professional and showed up each day on time early morning and worked until nighttime. It was going to be a two-day install but the mount that I purchased for the living room TV would not work on our fireplace. I thought I was going to have to wait another week or two to get a new mount in, but Luis went out and bought the proper mount that night and came back the next day to finish the install. I was beyond impressed. This was a big job and Luis nailed every part of it. I am most impressed by the five pairs of in-ceiling speakers that I had Luis install - they are completely flush, clean and you can't tell that the house wasn't built like that originally. He was able to run all of the wires to a single homerun closet location located on the second floor, which I was blown away by. Now we have whole house audio through Sonos, which is amazing. I would highly recommend Luis to anyone looking to do any sort of A/V, home theater or wiring work. He is fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about the job he did. We are looking at adding a TV and some speakers to our outdoor patio in the near future and there's no way I would reach out to anyone besides Luis to get the job done. read more

Luis charged me $450 to buy this expensive equipment and now only after 6 months, the same issue of no signal came back again. And he never came to install the media room universal remote like he promised either, despite the numerous calls and text, I gave up a long time ago. Now the $450 fix is broken again. Just thinking about how I would have to text/call him to come look at the problem is enough to deter me from doing so again. We contacted Luis due to finally "cutting the cable". We were using Frontier internet only with Apple TV box and decided to use YouTube TV which provided local channels also. The existing wires were installed in 2006 through the attic and down the wall behind the fireplace brick. Luis knew what he wanted to do, but getting the old wires out and new HDMI and optical cables in was a real challenge. Luis is very persistent and spend 5-6 hours working to get it done. Once the hard part was completed, he installed and connected a new Samsung 65" TV, Yamaha receiver, Apple TV, RF box, new router, and an antennae in the attic (just in case). He came back after we discovered the Harmony remote needed to communicate better w/the new set up. Luis is what your look for when you have people come into your home to work. He gives clear communication regarding your options, when he is going to be there, what he will be doing when he is there, and if he needs to leave and come back. I contacted MyMedia (Luis) as an alternative to using Starpower which had wired and supplied all items for my home and theatre. My receiver had been going in and out for months and finally cratered. I called Starpower, after not being helped by the Addison location, called HP location only to be told I'll get you a quote and we can install in maybe a week or two. I found MyMedia and called them and Luis quickly answered and stated he was working on a job but asked how he could help. I explained the situation and he gave me a competitive quote (much better) and stated he could do the job the same night. He came out with the new receiver and spent 3 hours meticulously removing all wires and actually put the system back together BETTER than Starpower who had left a mess of wires in the cabinet. Luis is a perfectionist. I needed layout and installation of a 7.1 media room, 7.1 living room, 3 TVs hung on articulating mounts and a 12 speaker whole house audio installation (Sonos). I paid both Best Buy (Geek Squad), and Fry's to come out and lay out a system and then called Luis because a friend highly recommended him (Tammy). Luis was cheaper than both, and showed me a couple of ways to save money and have a better system. Also, he said he would provide all equipment or install what I bought - very easy to work with.
