Does my insurance cover this? We don't know!) In other words, I don't typically leave an eye doctor appointment in a good mood. Not so with 21 North Eyecare. This place is fantastic. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, and Dr. Grove was positively a delight. She strikes the perfect balance between being incredibly knowledgeable about her field but also incredibly good at explaining complex concepts to a lay person. I left the appointment feeling more informed than I've ever been about how eyes work. Who knew they were so interesting?!?! On top of that, I had several questions and concerns that Dr. Grove and her staff addressed thoroughly and thoughtfully. The office space itself is also quite lovely. Everything was clean and looked practically brand new. All in all, while I still can't tell the difference between option 1 and option 2, I had a positively delightful experience at 21 North Eyecare and will be quick to recommend it to others.

After years of taking my kids to VisionPoint, I was disheartened when they stopped allowing me to…read morebook appointments for all three of them in the same day. I tried to get appointments for them at both the Portage and Chesterton locations and was told the same thing. I began to call around and encountered the same problem at a few other companies, but the employees at Target Optical were happy to make the appointments for all three kids in the same day so we wouldn't have to make multiple trips. Once there, the process was fairly simple. The kids were each pre-tested as I completed new patient paperwork. Before I could finish, my first child had already been called back. Within an hour, all three appointments were knocked out, and we were on our way. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Baker is quite knowledgeable and caught that the last place we went to overcompensated for my daughter's astigmatism. The only drawback I'd say is that they need to offer a larger selection of frames, including flex frames. My kids were initially nervous with it being a new place, but they left happy and said they would like to go back the next time they need checkups. I have no problem with that!!! :)

Halloween. The place was decked out for Halloween and all of the staff members, including the doctor. We're all dressed and various costumes, which was awesome. I was sitting in the waiting area ready to see the doctor because I had already selected a nice frame that was on sale. The eye doctor dressed in an 80s jogging suit that was color blocked was really cute. Exam went well. Pressure was great eyes had improved. Ordered my glasses received them within two weeks.
