BEWARE OF SCAM My mother (who is in her 70s) went for an…read moreannual eye exam. Upon arrival a staff member asked for her glasses. She handed them over, presuming that this was standard practice. When her glasses were handed back, one lens had a deep 1cm gauge, directly in her line of vision. She alerted the staff member but was told, "that must have already been there." My mother pointed out that she'd just driven to the appointment with these glasses and they were fine. She was rebuffed so tried asking other staff for help -- they were all suddenly "too busy" and avoided her gaze. After her exam, the same staff member insisted that she need new frames. Her "old" frames were from the previous year. Moreover, they had been expensive -- last year when she was fitted for frames, she only learned at checkout that they were $500 (insurance only covers $200). My mother is shy and did not want to rock the boat, so she paid for the different out of pocket. On this year's visit, she not only was being pushed to purchase new lenses for $400 due to the deep scratch (her prescription did not require a change) -- but the staff member claimed that replacement lenses could not fit in her current frames. Again, my mother got flustered and left without making a big deal, because like many of us she does not like conflict. (Thankfully this time she did not buy anything, but is now wearing glasses with scratched lenses). She said the doctor seemed nice and competent -- however, the support staff was VERY questionable. They appear to be preying on seniors -- or perhaps anyone they can strong-arm into buying more than they need.

I ordered them on 4/24 with an expected date of 5/7. Not hearing from them, I called on 5/8 for a status on my order and was told I could come in anytime; they were at the store. Shame the customer needs to call to find out if their order has arrived. I went in on same day to pick them up, one pair fits nice, other pair looks crooked on me. I am told there is nothing they can do about it, that my eyebrows are crooked! Did not offer in any way to help resolve the issue. Over 55 years of wearing glasses , this is the first time I have received a pair of glasses that did not fit right and could not be adjusted. I did not raise my voice. but feel future customers should just be aware of my experience at this store and location. I will get some tape or something to raise one side up to make them look straight ... like every pair I have ever purchased in my 55 years of wearing glasses. If they read this review and try to help me, I will politely decline since they already told me there was nothing they could do to fix them even though they are new and I was very dissatisfied. Buyer beware.

My check in was effortless and I waited only a few minutes before being called. Dr. Paul and his assistant coordinated a thorough examination, the best I've ever experienced, and I was finished very quickly. I mistakenly left my contact lenses and case behind and it was discarded for hygiene reasons. The front desk was more than accommodating as they offered me a new case, solution and a trial pair of lenses to replace those discarded. Superb service. I only regret I didn't become a patient years ago!

Everyone was pretty courteous and there was a minimum of chit-chat as we moved through check after check. Front desk deals with the billing, charges (copays) and collects upfront. While I prefer getting a receipt right away, they told me they'd email me instead, which took a bit of work - I had to actually go back and get it in-person the next time we visited since a promised email version never was sent to me - a blemish in an otherwise good experience.

I did not feel like spending $1000 on a set of frames that includes the prescription. Anne worked with me she was able to find the exact pair of glasses I was looking for that was covered by my insurance company. So all I had to worry about was the additional cost for my prescription. She was able to fit me well she was professional and sweet - easy to work with. I would recommend her particularly when looking for a pair of glasses.

READ CAREFULLY: They prey on the elderly without anything conflict of morals…read more A handful of months ago, my nearly 80 year old father went to Raymond Ops in Katonah to have his eyes looked out. The onsite optometrist diagnosed him with cataracts and suggested surgery. Even knowing his eyes would change after the surgery, the doctor talked my elderly parents into purchasing a pair of nearly $400 glasses for my father; that would be worthless in the near future due to corrective surgery. My parents, at the time weren't connecting the dots, and made the purchase. A month or more later, my dad spoke with Raymond realizing he would need the prescription to be changed and asked why they gave his glasses knowing this would be the case after surgery. Their response was, "we didn't pressure you to purchase the glasses." However, they agreed to change the prescription for free after the surgery was completed. My dad died two days ago before he was able to have the cataract surgery. As I am trying to get my dad's paperwork and loose ends tied up for my mom, I called Raymond asking about a refund. Their response, again, was, "we never pressured your father to purchase the glasses and no we will not be giving you any type of refund." I wished her a beautiful day.
