Greeted with professional enthusiasm and the layout is airy, bright, and spacious. My provider was the delightfully droll Dr. Fuss. The front desk staff hyped up my sneakers and were so kind. They explained the process and allowed me to look around for my new specs. A sales associate helped me through it as I wasn't sure quite what I wanted. They have so many brands and styles. I picked out a few pair of glassess and she held them for me until after I finished my exam. Karl was my optometrist. This man has amazing interpersonal skills! After you get check-in, I was taken back immediately for the preliminary scans before seeing Dr. Granek it went by super quick. Next, I was taken into the exam room and waited no time for Dr. Granek to arrive. He is sooooooo down to earth, kind, loving, and takes his time with you. My husband and I have been going to her for many years and really like and trust her completely. The staff at the eyeglass area is a real mixed bag. They had a great woman who retired a few years ago. Never had a problem with her. Last year I had had a lot of issues with my glasses that dragged on for several weeks and they were never quite right but I was told today the woman who helped me had also retired since last year and they had some great new staff. I really wanted glasses that fit and I could see out of properly. I was excited at the idea of not having to try Costco/Warby Parker/random stores etc. Dr McGinn also made a note on my prescription to make extra effort to center my lens properly and pick out frames that work. Dr McGinn said they had a new man working and recommended going to him but he left on his break when I was done with my appointment. This was on 8/25/21 at around 11:20 am. This woman approached me from behind who I didn't even realize worked there at first because of how she was dressed and acted. She asked if I was looking for frames. I said I was and asked if she could help me pick out frames that might work best with my (high) prescription and lens and she said no and walked away. I looked for a few minutes with my husband and then said to her that between my issues last year, the trend of huge glasses (which I know I can't wear) and my eyes being dilated, I was having trouble finding the correct size glasses. I asked if she could help me again and she said no and that I should leave and come back if I wasn't "able" to pick out frames on my own. It was said in a very strangely aggressive way. My husband and I were the only ones there so she wasn't busy with other customers and she gave no reason why she couldn't help me. I picked out some frames and told her that I don't know what went wrong last year but I think either there was some problem with the fit or the lens themselves because I have to put my glasses on the tip of my nose to see through them. I repeated that I hoped she could help me chose the right frames and again she said no and splayed out on a chair staring at me. I said knew the problem wasn't a change in my eyes because my contacts were fine and my eyeglass prescription didn't change much then or now. She kept talking over me and "correcting" me for things I wasn't wrong about or even saying in a bizarre way. It was really shocking and uncomfortable. I've never been around a "professional" that acted like this before. It was very unsettling. I'm not an optician. It's her job to help fit me with the proper lens and glasses. I told her I knew it could be a glasses shape/lens issue which is why I wanted some guidance and she just kept talking over me in a really argumentative, aggressive way. I finally just grabbed my prescription and left. She was incredibly rude and hostile. My husband had brought frames with him to be filled with his prescription so he stayed a minute to get help with that. Hopefully they will be be fine? We were hesitant about dealing with her at all but since he had brought glasses he knew worked we thought maybe she could handle placing the order. I hope we didn't make a mistake. After I left to wait in the parking lot he told her that the problems I had last year dragged on for months with the very overwhelmed and now retired worker for various reasons beyond my control and that I had finally given up and made do for the past year but that my glasses haven't been really useable. She said the woman had been "covering for her" when she was ill and that "everyone has problems". Truly, what is going on here? Isn't having glasses that fit and you can see out of the bare minimum you can expect from an eyeglass shop? I've been wearing glasses for 35 years! There has never been this level of drama. I truly was excited to get help and spend hundreds of dollars at this place and this woman was so combative and unprofessional I had to leave with nothing. So three stars because I love the doctors but I would avoid the eyeglass shop like the plague just in case you have the misfortune of encountering this woman. A stranger off the street could give you better service.

It wasn't busy when I arrived but a few people trickled in eventually. The eye exam conducted by Dr. Beveridge was very quick but extremely efficient. I've had eye exams at several different places from large box companies to small businesses and none of them were nearly as good as Canton Vision Center. My new prescription felt crystal clear with Dr. Beveridge. During the exam, he was pretty mild but professional and patient. He has a very chill/relaxed energy. Overall, I would continue to visit this location as I have for the past several years. I usually do not purchase glasses from here because I typically get them from online dealers, however, this time I decided to get some prescription glasses and loved them. With insurance, I spent about $70 total for a yearly eye exam (free with $10 copay), sunglass frames, and prescription lens. They accept FSA as payment as well as credit/debit. I highly recommend this local small business for a quick yet efficient eye exam and prescription glasses. This place doesn't give you super warm/huggy vibes but they are definitely polite, knowledgeable, and professional. Heads up- this business has free, street parking only but I usually am able to find a spot fairly easy on this block.

My daughter has a serious spine issue and came to this office in Bethesda MD to see the "specialist" who told her it's not a matter of if she would need surgery but when. She did physical therapy as requested, fast forward 2 years, she's experiencing a lot of pain and scheduled another appointment to see where she's at and if surgery is now needed. First appointment with the doctor 2 yrs ago he seemed great and caring. This second appointment however their x-ray tech was not available, traffic was so bad getting there (not their fault) it took 3 hours to get to the office after being re-routed all over the place it was like being stuck in a bad IKEA nightmare, so we were already flustered. She couldn't get an MRI done because the tech wasn't there, the doctor told her to lift her knee and stand on her tippy toes then gave her a referral for an MRI somewhere else. Answered none of her questions and made her feel like she was a roach on the wall and was keeping him from leaving for the day. Needless to say, she will not be getting her surgery there but after being referred several times years ago we thought we finally found the right place now we are back to the drawing board to find someone to help her. I know we get burned out in our jobs sometimes people but geez when you get home prop your feet up, soak in Epson salt or whatever helps you relax. Try to get up and do it again the next day with a smile.

I was advised during check-in that if the surgery lasted more than 5 hours, I would be billed for the additional hours. The cost for using the surgery centers' operating room for 5 hours was 2,500.00 dollars so I assumed a billing rate of 500.00 per hour and agreed to pay for any additional time required. Well the surgery took 7 hours and the Surgery Center billed me 2,000.00 for the two additional hours. That rate comes to 1,000.00 per hour. I requested information on why the difference in billing rates on 4 different occasional and the Surgery Center refused to answer my questions. I just want to warn any one using this Surgery Center, makes sure you know the total amount you will have to pay the Surgery Center in advance because afterward they can bill you any amount they want . Let the buy beware, for warned is for armed.
