I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam a month ago, as this was the soonest available appointment. I show up for my appointment a few minutes early and the receptionist ask what my appointment "was". I told her it's at 1:40. She then told me because I did not confirm my appointment that I lost it and was moved to overflow (which meant I'd have to be worked into their schedule). Because I had other priorities after my appointment I told her I'd have to call and reschedule it. I scheduled my entire day around this appointment and had been waiting for a month to have it. The office did send a confirmation text the week prior, but also sent a reminder text everyday that I had an appointment today (to include one this morning). If I had missed this appointment I would have been charged a fee, but they can cancel without notice with no consequences. There is nothing in any of their texts that says they will cancel my appointment, but to the contrary all say that my appointment is good to go and insurance is confirmed. I along with my family have been going to this office since we moved to the area 5 years ago and have never experienced anything like this. It's frustrating and unacceptable in my opinion. Our family all wear glasses and have spent literal thousands in this office. We do not plan to go back at this point, which is unfortunate because I really like the eye doctors I have seen there, but the receptionist is another story. read more

A few months ago, i purchased two identical pair of glasses in which i use only for computer work. During the transaction, i was encouraged to purchase their eyewear protection plan. Knowing that I would seldom wear them and store them in a case otherwise, I trusted the product quality and declined. While working this week, I gently removed my glasses from my face (by the frame) as I always do. The arm of the glasses detached and fell off. Because I had only had the frames for a few months, I contacted their online support and shared with them that I received faulty frames, and had chosen to deny the insurance program knowing I wear glasses infrequently. Customer service responded two days later with "We would love to provide you with the opportunity to purchase our Eyewear Protection Plan for $29 so we can have your eyeglasses remade for you." Because I work nearby, I took the broken frames into the MyEyeDr office and explained the situation and that it was inexcusable for a product to snap in half before reaching even the one-year-mark. These complaints went without correction. Two weeks later, after expressing my dissatisfaction with my product quality and frustration with my experience, the MyEyeDr team contacted me and offered to replace my frames free-of cost. This week i was notified that my new pair was awaiting pickup. Although my experience was less than pleasant starting out, this location made sure to correct the error and I am pleased with my new frames. read more

My husband and I had our eye appointments on 2/26/2020. The receptionist was kind of cold, but we were in there with our two little girls and I could tell she wasn't thrilled that our toddler was running around. beside the point- the exam went well. The doctor was great. The long haired lady that helped with the insurance and purchasing was very helpful. We were told our glasses would be about 1-2 weeks. March 9th we were notified that our frames were on back order in the warehouse and were told that they would be contacting other stores to to see if they had the frames in stock. We were never called after that I called them the week before the stores closed due to COVID-19 and she said "hopefully they'll be here Friday before we close". They were not. April 23rd, my husband is contacted and left a message that his glasses were ready for pickup. They asked him to let them know if he would be coming by to pick them up or to text that number with the address to have them mailed. He sent the address and then received a text stating that his glasses actually were not ready. They had his frames but no lenses. They said they would keep the address in and mail them as soon as they were ready. No update on my glasses. May 9th I call to get an update on the status of our order. I get the answering machine and did not receive a return phone call. I had my husband text the number that was contacting him and he didn't get a response either. May 26th, I call again and a man that claims he is stepping in to help because the store manager was let go is trying to figure out whats going on. He said they had my frames but no lenses and had my husbands lenses but no frames.. (but April 23rd it was the other way around). He informed that someone had marked the glasses as delivered as well but that couldn't be because the order was clearly not finished. He told me he would call me back in 30 minutes. I called back two hours later and the lady on the phone said she recognized my name and that he was still on the phone trying to find my husbands glasses. He called me back to tell my that my lenses were ordered, he found a store that had my husbands frames and they should both be ready within a week. Told me to call back if I hadn't heard from them. June 1st I called around 10am to get a status update. The woman answers the like I am the one bothering her. I ask about the man I spoke to last week and she said the only man that was there helping was someone in the lens department. She said she recognized my name and remembered what was going on and that she was the only one in the store and would have to call me back later when she got some help. She never called me back, so I called again around 2 and she didn't answer nor did I receive a return phone call. June 2nd I call around 11:45. No answer and at this point I am mad. I left a very heated message stating that this is absolutely ridiculous that I am not even receiving basic customer service at this point. No one calls me back. and I know they have caller ID and feel they are purposefully not answering or returning my calls. I believe the receptionist is deleting my messages because surely there is no way that every single person in that building is this bad at their job. I contacted customer relations and get a woman named Jody. Jody was amazing. She pulled up my account after me telling her everything. She repeated back to me everything that I said and then informed me that my account had not been noted since March 9th. She said it was showing no contact since March 9th, when they told me our lenses were on back order. She wrote an email to the district and regional managers and said they should be getting back to me no later than today. She put in a refund request which I feel I deserve considering we went to get glasses THREE MONTHS AGO. No word from the managers. I do not understand how that receptionist still has a job because I know for a fact I am not the first person that has received piss poor customer service from her. Complete disappointment. Now have been on the phone with Customer Relations twice. I have been given an ultimatum that I can continue to wait for my glasses or I can be issued a refund and wait for it to come in the mail. The district nor regional managers ever called me. They keep blaming COVID-19 but if you read the reviews on google, this has been going on well before then. They need all new staffing and some crash courses in customer service. We will NEVER be using MyEyeDr again. read more

Optician told me it would be no problem putting my new lenses in my old frames. Gave me estimated date. That passed. Gave me another estimated date. That passed. After I complained, got a message via Twitter DM the glasses were shipped. They were shipped --broken. Don't trust these people. One lie after another. Not only do I not have the computer glasses I need and have to start over, my favorite frames are ruined. read more

2 months!!! My wife originally went in 2 months ago for a pair of glasses. 2 weeks later October 30th they fitted her with the glasses (wrong prescription) and a 2nd set (correct ones ) were ordered that day. Still waiting on those, going on 6 weeks. My wife is very patient and has called 5 times! Each time she got a "we will check and call you back today". Not once did anyone call back. Dr. Wells and his staff are fantastic! I goggle searched eye care and I am so lucky to have found this place. They took my appointment with no problem. The wait time in the office was less than five minutes. I was fitted for contacts and glasses. The glasses selection is too cute!! They have all of the nice brands: Kate Spade, RayBan, Coach, Michael Kors and so much more! They have a good selection of less expensive ones too if that is what you are looking for. My contacts are great. From what i saw, you can really get any brand of contacts as well. I highly recommend Dr. Wells for eye care. read more

This review is from Elizabeth Anderson. I relocated here 3 years ago. I used My Eye Dr in Maryland with no issues. First of all the Dr I saw a year ago is retired. He was fantastic. I did not buy frames from this store. However the quality of the lens I ordered from this store in Aberdeen is horrible. Nothing wrong with the prescription it self. I paid for all the extras, to include the anti scratch. Within a few months I had so many scratches on the lens even though I only use their special cloths and sprays. Since the scratches interfere with my vision, in December I went back to the store to show them and all they said was oh "those micro scratches are to be expected." I've worn and paid for the anti scratch for over 35 years and have never had the issue. I assume since I didn't pay for the scratch insurance my glasses don't have the protective coating. The scratches are even worse now and I'm due for a new exam. Will not be going to this store. read more

I gave this place a 1 star because of the hassle and aggravation. They cancelled my date of appointment because I did not called back. The voice mail they left says reminding me of the date and time of my appointment. If I had to make changes then I need to call them. Come this day I showed up for my 10 am appointment date and the receptionist tells me since I did not confirm their phone call then they took off my name on the list. The initial date if appt. to me is my date if appt. since basing it on my days off from work. To take me off the schedule is aggravating, since this is an annual check up! Offered me to reschedule for next year! Lol.. What a joke! I need to go find another place of business in this case... read more

I've been going here for 4 years and have always been thrilled with the service and products. Dr. Wells is great--always taking an interest in me as an individual. And the rest of the staff is wonderful, too, especially the folks that help you pick out and fit you for glasses. Wait times are fairly comparable to other places I've been, usually around 10-15 minutes. It's always been very easy to get an appointment that fits into my schedule and re-scheduling, if needed, is quick and painless. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

Sorry, this office has no idea what it's doing. They ordered my contacts in August for me but I only received half the order, so I had to re-order the rest of the order in October and now it's almost December and I still don't have the rest of my prescription. The woman who called me back, after I had requested a status update, had no idea herself why she was calling me because she hadn't talked to the manufacturer yet. Why she called prior to talking to the manufacturer is beyond me. So then I had to tell her to call the manufacturer and THEN call me back. Should be common sense, but I guess not for some people. There were some nice people that worked there, but niceness doesn't compensate for the inability to function properly. I would have had more success ordering my contacts online with a prescription then trusting them to do so. I've learned my lesson for next time. read more

Walked in with my prescription, was immediately taken care of by Andy who was professional and knowledgeable. No high pressure, I was given all the time I needed to pick frames. Nice selection with clearly marked prices. Glasses were ready within a week and when I picked them up, they fit perfectly and had good correction of my vision. Plus they accepted my insurance. I am new to the area from out of state and planning on this being my eyeglass provider for the long haul. read more

I always wait until I'm out of contacts to schedule my annual eye exam. Then I'm upset when I have to go and wait forever. I always dread it. I decided to find a local place since my old eye doctor was in Walmart 30 miles away. I was excited to see a newer eye doctor in our town was on my insurance list. I was able to setup an account online and upload my information. It wasn't allowing me to see available appointments so when I called the 1-800 number he asked if I could go in 2 hours! I was surprised and figured they were just sliding me into a packed schedule and I'd be waiting. I was wrong. I walked in and was seen within 2 minutes of my arrival. My time waiting on the doc was minimal and he didn't act rushed as my other doctor would be. I even learned my eyes improved and were way better than the scripts my old doc had written! I walked away with a nice new pair of glasses for $150 bucks and my contacts script. The glasses arrived in 4 days compared to the 10 they told me. I was extremely DISAPPOINTED with my service! After getting a sales pitch about how great my insurance was and how much was covered and convincing me to get a "free" pair of sunglasses, I get a bill for a $40 co-pay that "wasn't calculated". Had I been given the correct information I would not have purchased extras. Same thing happened with my husband's glasses (through the same insurance). You'd think they would have that co-pay figured out....... They voided the charge for my husband but wouldn't budge for me. No worries, we will take our business elsewhere next year and I will be sure to inform all 130 of my co workers that there will be unexpected charges after the fact if they use this place. read more
