Duff Family Dental gives quotes on phone and changes cost after visit. They have you sign paper…read moresaying, they have the right to adjust quotes for the unknown. All I had done was x-rays and check up. Dr. Carla Duff did not even do an oral exam but just looked at x-rays. Instead of her admitting she could possibly made a mistake, that she got involve in discussion of my x-rays and forgot to check and went to her next appointment, she said, I would never skip that and acted very unprofessional. A person knows when someone pulls out your tongue to look under it for cancer or lifts your lips back to check gums. She did neither but denied it and instead of offering to check it, she got all bent out of shape and offended. Telling friends/neighbors/family to definitely beware of two sides of this dentist/office practices.

Over the years my wife and I have had a variety of dental work done at Parkcrest Dental Group, mostly with Dr. Jason Hall. We honestly have experienced no pain. The fixes moreover have lasted. Dr. Hall is straightforward about the work that needs to be done and accomplishes it with skill and finesse. Parkcrest is a smooth operation with competent technicians, cordial receptionists, and superb dentists. That this has been a successful dental practice for 50 years is no surprise. Today I was in for a couple of fillings and a cap. While I don't look forward to having my teeth worked on, this has been the best dental experience I've ever had.

My case number is 2331-AC06419 and I encourage you to look it up as it is public information. The judge agreed with me and I prevailed with a judgement against Randi Green. Background: Randi Green installed a crown in my mouth which she did not size correctly. It was bigger than my original, natural tooth. The now, larger crown crowded my mouth and rearranged the alignment of my bite. Randi Green refused to correct her error, she did not refer me to an orthodondist nor did she offer to correctly fix her mistake. She simply tried to sweep her shotty dentistry under the rug by refusing to take my calls and discontinuing my treatment. During the entire experience Randi Green's office staff were extremely rude to me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I was left to find a new dentist and orthodontist on my own. If you have been wronged by Randi Green you are not alone. I encourage you to fight for what is right and, if you stick with your cause, you can prevail, too. After services from Brandes, I landed in the hospital! She said I needed a root canal and crown. I…read moreasked to be referred to an endodontist (Dr. Ukena, former owner of the practice had offered one to me in the past for the same service.) Endodontists are much faster at root canals and when you have Copd and myalgia fast is very helpful. It took her 3 appointments and a total of 8 hours (4,then 2 then 2) to complete these procedures. Also she couldn't keep me numb, as I kept telling her, and kept jabbing me in the roof of my mouth which was very painful. By the end of the 3rd one I could barely get my twisted body out of the chair or walk. Then my oxygen started dropping and I was having sharp pains when breathing from ribs being out of place and an extremely tight diaphragm. As a result I landed in the ER, then hospital for over 2 days and had to be on oxygen. Needless to say, it was all very anxiety producing, confirmed by the doctor as contributing to the episode. If you are considering a dentist...I WOULD KEEP LOOKING.

Dr. Ukena is not only an excellent provider, he is also a wonderful, kind human being. Having trouble finding reliable dental care in Florida, I contacted Dr. Ukena because I was at a loss of what to do with my teeth. I had moved from SGF 5 years previously but needed a trustworthy, fair, intelligent provider and phoned Dr. Ukena to see if he would do a consult. He immediately asked for my previous records for review, discussed a potential plan with me over the phone and truly relieved my stress. I made the trip to see Dr. Ukena and his staff who took care of absolutely EVERYTHING including scheduling 2 additional appointments (Pam, Jessica, Tina & Mel - thank you). My old trusty grill has been given new life again. I spent just under a week coming from Florida to Dr. Ukena and Mel for their excellent care and service. I would do it again tomorrow too. The care Dr. Ukena & Mel provide is beyond exceptional. Never did I ever think I could have such an enjoyable time at the dentist's office... Dr Ukena is MORE than the gold standard for dental care and consider myself fortunate enough to be in his care. They've had some of the staff for 11 years which is unusual these days. She came out almost in tears and I could tell right away something was wrong. She said the woman who cleaned her teeth was rough and the dentist who came in frightened her (her words were "she was like a mob boss"). The dentist didn't come out to let me know anything (if she did or didn't have any cavities, any additional preventative care needed, if my daughter needed to be doing anything different, if she had good dental health, etc..) which is what their previous dentist always did. When we got home she said it felt like there was cement on her teeth and I noticed some white stuff caked on. It seems like they overbook and I'm guessing they only do 1 cleaning at a time based on the waiting times I saw. On a positive note, the front desk people were very friendly.
