I called to cancel my appointment 5 days in advance and was still charged 50$. That does not make any sense to me.

This guy has messed my mouth up so much when trying to fit a crown that isn't seated properly. my…read moreteeth have been shaved down so much that I need more crowns now. I have been an emotional wreck and in pain for months now. I have been waiting for a refund to get the original crown he placed redone. He was friendly and I fully trusted him. I regret ever going to his dentall office and him working on my mouth.

This is the BEST dentist I have ever encountered in my 68 years on this planet. He didn't just take…read morethe word of my prior dentist that the tooth needed to be removed (or root-canaled) but started a complete examination of his own with tools I hadn't heard of, like shining a light THROUGH the tooth to look for cracks, and using electrical stimulation to determine whether the nerves were still working/alive. I could release grip on a tool bar to break the circuit as soon as I felt pain. He determined that the tooth was alive and healthy, with only a "remineralization" via fluoride needed to stop the sensitivity that was felt when using a Waterpik. The main pain was caused by something else: tight jar muscles, not the tooth, and addressed in a separate way. There was no causative relationship better the two. He prevented a good tooth from being pulled. Spectacular. Additionally, the usual comments I could add are that he was so thorough, so careful, kind, unhurried, understanding, and best of all, he saved that tooth. His assistant was also very competent and careful. The office is open five days a week, not three like my prior dentist, thus I was able to get in early the next day after I called. I had missed a trip to Virginia a couple of weeks prior because I couldn't get in on a Friday with my prior dentist to see if a tooth ache was serious enough to cancel the trip or not. The office was closed since it was apparently open only three days a week, with no "tag-team" coordination with another office for emergency, or or other means of getting a quick-answer due to special circumstances like leaving on a trip in a couple of days. The only thing I saw on that painful Friday was an option to email. I never heard back, but rather had to cancel the trip and call the next Monday morning. Having more than one dentist in an office or a tag-team arrangement with another dentist for emergencies are important options to consider that I had not considered prior to this experience. Thank you Dr. Bruechner, and Rachelle. - Dale M.
