We were referred by an orthodontist to see Dr. Myers for our son's veneers. He was finished with ortho and had 2 pegged lateral teeth. We live an hour from Dr. Myers so I was hesitant. I have to say WOW so glad we decided to invest the time. The before and after results are absolutely amazing. Our son smiles more now than ever! It was sooo worth the drive! With the office closed due to COVID-19, I wasn't sure how they would advise me on day five of 24/7 lower tooth pain. Dr. Myers and Beth met me at the office this morning for what ended up being an abscessed tooth needing a ER root canal. Dr. Myers didn't have an assistant to help him, yet he never got frustrated. I've been a patient for about 6 years, and have been very pleased with Dr. Myers and his staff. I never feel like I'm being talked into having work done that is not needed (or even if it should be done but is not crucial). They are very low-key and not pushy. One time I chipped a tooth and was leaving to go out of town for a few days, and although they didn't have an opening for me that morning before I left, they squeezed me in so I wouldn't have to put up with a chipped tooth over the weekend. 2 Stars because they do good work at a good price. However there is a serious waiting problem for the dentist. My past two visits I have waited at least 20 minutes before I saw the dentist after having my teeth cleaned. This most recent time I waited 30 minutes to see the dentist before I just got up and left. Horrible experience. The dentist had scheduled a long procedure simultaneously as my regular 6-month cleaning which was the reason why she could not see me in a timely manner. Seems like careless scheduling to me. He's an Aggie, but I don't hold it against him. ;) What he also is however, is an excellent dentist with an incredible demeanor. He is also a perfectionist. I've had him finish up something and then after reviewing his work say, "No, I'm not happy with the way this looks, I'm going to need some more time here." He doesn't allow his schedule to dictate how much time he spends on you. I don't like going to the dentist, but I don't mind going to see Dr. Myers. A good guy and a great dentist. I have seen Dr. Sandoval twice. Both experiences have not been pleasant. At my latest appointment, I had several cavities filled. I was left with gritty gunk on the outside of 3 or 4 teeth -- all on the side opposite of where the cavities were! Dr. Sandoval's cute little blonde assistant is so into conversing with Dr. Sandoval about this or that, that she neglects the fact that I have water and grit all over my face. She kept pushing her chair into my arm. After grunting to let her know it wasn't pleasant, she moved her chair ... and then moved it right back into squishing my arm. Then, she had the dental equipment draped between me and the back of the dental chair so that when she moved it my hair was messed up. She's so busy brown nosing Dr. Sandoval that she doesn't seem to pay attention to the comfort of the patient ... just her own needs. Dr. Sandoval told me to let her know if I experienced any pain or discomfort during the process of getting my cavities filled. I grunted (she had this thing in my mouth to keep it open.). She said: I'm sorry, but I need to finish what I am doing before I can let you speak. REALLY??? Well, how about this, Dr. Sandoval: I was in pain and you could have cared less? When I was finally allowed an opportunity to speak, she then gave me another shot. I find Dr. Sandoval's demeanor gruff and unprofessional. During the process of getting my teeth filled (and, remember -- left with gritty gunk covering 3 or 4 teeth on the side that wasn't filled), she kept talking about having to hurry home to get ready for a party! Really? Well, hope you had a good time, because now I have to find another dentist to fix the mess you left. In my opinion, Dr. Sandoval's confidence exceeds her ability. The quality of service, follow through, and compassion for a distressed client in pain was greatly lacking.

We've been through dentist after dentist since moving to Texas. Cold environments with small talk, nothing great. My mom was a dental assistant in a small practice and I haven't found that friendly atmosphere where you feel like they care. My boyfriend had an painful toothache on our vacation and it was so bad that they squeezed us in right away the day after we returned. They went through everything, even prices, before moving forward (which I appreciate). I never once felt they tried to price gouge us as I have in other places. They were always very informative of what they recommended to do and why, without having to ask. They let me go back with him to be there for support (he hates the dentist ha). They were so great and made the experience lively and quick. Even sang when pulling his tooth to help distract from the situation. They found some other issues and made a progression plan showing what his insurance should cover moving forward. We've been back about 5 times now and they call to check on him after each time. They have the greatest staff and Dr. Courtney has been amazing. Each time I've went back and chatted with the dental assistants the entire time. Safe to say my boyfriend now doesn't mind coming to this dentist. Highly recommend Dr Courtney! read more

We are a family of 5 and going to the dentist for 2 of my kids has always been frightening. Finding a good dentist you trust and takes care of you is irreplaceable. Unfortunately I've run into problems with their billing/charges and lack of communication. My daughter was sick and missed an appointment. When she came in for her next appointment she was notified of her no show fee which I understood. The problem with this office is their late fee was $55. I asked Beth the office manager to please talk to Dr Courtney about this late fee and she said Dr Courtney said due to her blocking 1.5-2 hours of time she needed for her filling that she had To charge a double late fee price. I went ahead and paid this but told them I felt it was ripping off their patients. The second incident was with the same daughter and again Dr Courtney. She came in for fillings and my daughter said when she was numbing her she felt the shots. She said Dr Courtney offered her gas (nitrice) to help her relax. Next thing I know I have a bill for $78. I called and asked what this was for and Beth said your daughter requested it? Talked To my daughter who said that was not the case. She said the doctor noticed I jumped and asked if I was ok. I said yes I just felt the shot that's when she offered me the gas. My daughter said she offered it to me as if it was free not something I would be charged extra for. If a patient is in pain or severe discomfort during a procedure I agree something should be offered but not before the treatment has even begun!!! I disputed the charges with Dr Courtney and Beth who does the billing in the front office and I was notified today that due to the cost of the gas and based on Dr Courtney's notes those charges will stand. I personally feel if I (we) were valued as a repeat patient she would've discounted or had a conversation with me that going forward if this happens again we will have to charge you but I didn't even get that. Money seems to be driving force at this office therefore I'm forced to look for a new dentist who is not only good at what he/she does but who also won't nickel and dime their patients every chance they get. read more

Dr. Teddy Bear!! That's how I always call Dr. Myers! Whose dentist would hug them like a big bear? Mine does! You just can't help but smiling when you see his face! Sorry this review is getting way too long but there is really no shorter way to describe a dentist that is like a family member to you! I have been going to Dr. Myers for over 10 years, from my UT college days till now. When you live in a foreign country for so many years without any family, people around you come and go. It is difficult to find a constant in your life. Dr. Myers has been that constant and anchor for me through thick and thin. Jobs got changed, relationships got broken up, moving from places to places; one thing that never changed is my dentist - Dr. Myers. For a girl living away from her family for 15 years, this has been extremely comforting. When I first saw Dr. Myers, my teeth were horrible. My teeth were decaying and I was losing bones. I barely had any tooth left that hasn't been "worked" on before. He totally fixed me up! I have been getting my teeth-cleaning done every 4 months and I have not had one single cavity or bad breath problem since I started seeing him. I had very crooked teeth and a very high canine. It only took Dr. Myers 10 years to finally convinced me to get braces! LOL! (My Orthodontist Dr. Buckman is awesome too, by the way. It's so wonderful that your Orthodontist and Dentist are BFFs and they would have a lunch date just to talk about YOUR TEETH!!) I am about one more year to go on the braces. You know how people with braces get paranoid with the awkwardness of braces but every time I go to Dr. Myers, he and my dental hygienist Taryne always tell me how beautiful my smile is. :) His staff is wonderful too! (I miss you Dena who moved to Houston a while ago) My dental hygienist Taryne is awesome! She is funny, silly, and kind! Always super excited to see me and genuinely care for me. 6.5 years ago I had cancer. Dr. Myers and his staff were just like family to me. They have given me tremendous support along the way even to today. Last November, one Friday night I felt some pressures on my left-bottom molar. I took some pain pills then went to bed. Next day the left side of my jaw and neck were swollen up! We called Dr. Myers's office Saturday morning. In the recording, Dr. Myers's cell number was given in case of emergency. So we called his cell. He was in the UT vs A&M 2011 game!! At first he told me to take some Tylenol and see if it gets better. After I woke up from my nap, my tongue was twice as big, I could hardly breath! We snatched a picture of my face and SMS to Dr. Myers' cell phone. He called immediately and told us to go to ER, RIGHT NOW!! Dr. Myers called St. David's and found out Dr. Kern (another WONDERFUL oral surgeon, he looks like superman http://www.yelp.com/biz/travis-w-kern-dds-md-austin-2) was on call that Saturday. By the time I got to the ER I was in excruciating pains!! If it wasn't for Dr. Myers and Dr. Kern, I wouldn't got that evil tooth extracted that night. Turned out it was an old root-canal gone bad (not done by Dr. Myers. it was done when I was a child) and got abscessed. The infection kicked in so fast it could become very severe and dangerous if I didn't go to the hospital soon enough. It was like a freak accident! If you hate your dentist or are scared of dentists to death, try Dr. Myers. Trust me! You will fall in love with your dentist! read more

This literally was "as good as it gets" for a dentist visit! I was referred by another dentist to see Dr. Courtney Grosskopf (so that's a good sign, to start with). The ease of working with the front desk staff to make the appointment was top notch. For me, the office isn't terribly convenient, but I have to say it was worth the drive! The office itself is NOTHING like a dentist office - it's like a giant house, very bright and homey, with easy chairs and plants and good smells. Definitely a way to relax folks who are waiting. The dental visit portion did (alas) involve a numbing shot, but it was the single most artfully applied local anesthetic I've ever received. And Dr. Grosskopf couldn't have been more patient and informative, and I felt like they had all the time in the world just for me. So, hey, no one goes to the dentist for fun, but this is a dentist that you will feel good about going to, as it really is "as good as it gets." read more
