I found Dr. Myers through a fitness expo a few months ago, I was so impressed with the consultation that I went to the office and had my X-rays done, and started treatment right away. Since then I have been on a two week regimen and have never felt better! I am a regular gym go-er and I really feel like dr Myer helps keep me in alignment and ready for my next gym session. I was always somewhat afraid of chiropractic care in the past (though I have gone before over the last 10 years or so due to medical issues). I never felt right having my neck moved, etc. I was always worried it would hurt or my head would snap off. Dr. Myers is so knowledgeable and makes you feel so welcome that he puts you right at ease. The entire staff are super calm and friendly, so even if you are not in the best mood walking in, you feel much better walking out. Though Dr. Myers has many patients, he always remembers what issues he has been working on with me, what moves give the best relief for me, and is very supportive in discussing overall wellness issues, options and things to try. To get the body relaxed and in that zen mode, I start out relaxing on a treatment table for a couple minutes to let my back relax, my arms and shoulders to loosen up, and for my mind to calm while listening to soothing music. Everything is super clean and sanitized. Fresh covering on the treatment table for your face between patients. I cannot relax in a dingy environment so having things so clean is not just a "nice to have". Since going to Myers Chiropractic over the last 6 months or so, my back is feeling so much better and the stress and pain is gone from my neck and shoulder areas. We are working on hip pain now. My energy level is much improved. I never have that nervous feeling that some weird doc is going to pop my head off, or injury my neck, or pull something and cause me pain. I have been coming to Myers Chiropractic since December of 2018. When I first started going I could barely pick up my young kids do to my back pain. I have sciatica and I haven't had any flare ups since I started coming here. I can pick up my kids now and even get down in the floor and play with them. This office is set up with the traditional chiropractic tables. Three treatment tables side by side in a small area with over bed tables set up to place your items on. I started going here a little over a month ago to get relief from back pain. I read multiple reviews on many different chiropractors and went with Dr. Myers. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and kind. I am a single mom, and my daughters often must go with me. I have been adjusted around 8-9 times, the same processes each time. I must have missed the section in the contract that said I had to come in, set my paper on the table and lay face down on the table (this is a joke, a contract was not required). I have many quirks, one being I don't like to lay on my stomach with my face in a sheet of paper. It causes me anxiety and tension. Which is the opposite of what I thought the goal was with this care. Dr.Myers asks me to lay down and I explain that I'm more comfortable standing or sitting while I wait. I'm not sure what event occurred or led to the chain of events. I never lay on this table face down, before or during treatment. He asked if I would be more comfortable laying on a table face down in his office. At this point I'm confused; I've been coming here for almost 2 months, and this has never been mentioned as an issue. If my children are with me, I need to make sure they are okay. I can't do this with my face on a sheet of paper. I told him I would do whatever he needed me to do that I was just trying to understand. What I took away was that he said it was his office and he ran it how he wanted it to be run. I tried to explain that if he would have approached it differently, or just said "Hey, can you lay down here for me so we can see if you're more relaxed before I adjust you?" I would have asked more questions to get a better understanding of what he was wanting. Then I would have explained why it made me uncomfortable but would have done it to see if it made a difference. This wasn't what happened at all, my perception was I was taken into his office and made to feel that I was not valued as a patient. I was just trying to understand and even said that at one point. He replied that I didn't need to understand. I wasn't trying to understand why he ran his office a certain way. If the way he ran it was a bother to me I wouldn't have continued to go. I was trying to understand what was happening and process all of this. I can't come to your practice, and you aren't the right "fit" for me because I am uncomfortable laying face down? By this time the awkwardness was rooted deeply in this conversation. I felt like I was being told I was refusing to follow some sort of medical advice and that didn't fit into the way he ran things. Is healthcare so centered around the provider now that the patients' comfort isn't even taken into consideration? I know I'm one person and that isn't a big loss to him. To me he solidified the doubts I have around most doctors prior to this experience. I am not important to you; I am not valued as a patient or client. I am not a human who is even worthy of your time by getting to know me or understand. I didn't type this to leave a bad review or degrade Dr.Myers. My perception is my own, my feelings surrounding how I am treated are also whatever I make them to be. I typed this in the hopes that on the day you are faced with treating a neurodivergent patient you show compassion and try to understand. We are not all the same, we don't all fit into this box that you view as something that is working for your practice. Me standing by the table or sitting on the table isn't going to cause you to "lose control of your office." What will cause you to lose control of your office is the lack of empathy and compassion for the people you treat. I am thankful that I don't have to go back and listen to someone pretend to care about me or my family. I will miss the sweet woman who was so kind to my girls, otherwise it's just another life lesson. *I did do a 6 month payment contract to which I had only had 8-9 visits so far. I had paid $400ish and the total for the visits I made would have been $495. He told them to write off what was owed. That does not make the way I was treated or spoken to any better. read more

This review is long overdue. I have no other excuse other than laziness. Dry. Myers was my second chiropractor to visit when I was back in Johnson City. The background as to why I was searching for chiropractic care is a bit long, but necessary to understand everything. When I was a kid, I was told by a Dr. that I had one leg longer than the other. That was it. Never questioned it. Fast forward to last year, and someone close to me, who is a chiropractor asked if I'd ever had xrays done to confirm what I was told. No was my answer. I left that area shortly thereafter, and when I arrived in Johnson City for a few weeks, I went to a chiropractors' office. She never even touched me and told me I needed orthotics. That visit didn't go well, and I was hesitant to try again. My next stop was Dr. Myers, and that was all I needed. He listened, took notes, was down on the floor measuring and asessing my ankles, legs, joints...most importantly, he listened to me. He took xrays and actually confirmed what my friend had suggested, as well as finding some other issues that hadn't manifested into a problem yet. Dr. Myers was very thorough when reviewing treatment with me, and went over things in great detail. Not only that, but he's a great guy to talk to, and very friendly. The lady that runs his front desk is very nice as well. She always makes the visits pleasant. Dr. Myers treated me for a few weeks until I moved, and even after being out of town for a few months, when I come back, he talks to me like I haven't even left. While in town, he'll call and check on me to see how I'm doing as well. You just can't get care like this everywhere. Dr. Myers began what was to become a long road to correction, and I feel great. Whenever I'm back in Johnson City, he's who I visit. I recommend him to everyone I know. read more
