LET THE BUYER BE-AWARE! I sincerely want this review to be helpful to others. So while it is tempting to vent about my experience at Solutions, i.e. James Warlick D.C., that would only help me. Instead I encourage everyone to think about the following before deciding to get stem cell treatment at Solutions:
1. Ask yourself if you are comfortable being prescribed a treatment by someone who is not legally licensed to prescribe medication. It is not legal for Chiropractors to write prescriptions. Since the FDA has not yet given approval to stem cell treatments there is an ever smaller window of opportunity when non-MD's can make money from those treatments. Having a Nurse Practitioner on staff is an insurance policy since both can write scripts. In my experience at Solutions it was James Warlick who decided what kind of treatments the patient should receive.
2. Decide how much of a gambler or risk taker you are. Because there is NO proof or certainty that stem cell treatments will work or how well they will work. While I was a patient/client at Solutions a group of 4 of us shared info about our progress. My treatment was the most successful; I experienced an almost instant rush of well-being and lessening of pain. (I am 63 and have systemic osteoarthritis. It is bone-on-bone in both knees.) That feeling began to fade after about 6 months. I was told that the full benefit would show up in a year. Now, 16 months after treatment, I would say I've had maybe a 10% improvement. And that 10% disappears if the weather is cold and damp or extremely humid. One other person of the 4 had a very small, slow improvement, maybe 5%. The other 2 felt their pain had been made worse by the treatments.
3. Decide how much of a gamble you're willing to take and stick to it. To me, my level of improvement, while welcome, was not worth the $21,598.00 I paid. Until I began talking with the 3 other people I got to know, I didn't realize that the price was negotiable. Each of us had paid a slightly different price for similar treatments. Shop around to other places offering the same treatments. Make up your mind what you can afford and what this is worth to you and don't allow yourself to be manipulated into paying more.
4. Do NOT, under any circumstances, sign a contract for a "package deal." I was told that the price would be reduced significantly if everything was "packaged" together. Instead I found out that meant that when something was defective, like the knee braces I was given, or I did not receive certain services I had paid for, I could not get my money back. Even my credit card company, which is usually great about getting money returned to me, couldn't do anything about it because I did not have an itemized receipt. Also, if you're using a credit card, make periodic payments to Solutions. Don't be foolish like I was and pay it all upfront. I will never again see the $5,478.14 Solutions still owes me.
5. BE-AWARE! When a person is in pain, it is easy to be persuaded to take any solution offered at whatever price. Especially when that solution appears to be "natural" and without side effects. Just remember that, regardless of what you might be told, Solutions is in business to make money and is selling a product. And in our Wall Street fueled society, exaggeration, making misleading comments and stating outright falsehoods is considered an accepted part of making a sale. read more
