Having walked by their restaurant several times, we finally decided to check it out. The hubby and I were actually planning on going to a different restaurant but stopped in here for dinner. The place wasn't that crowded and we were able to get a table immediately.
I really enjoyed the ambiance and décor of the place. The bright red painted walls, cool-funky lighting and cushy seating along the walls just made it a calm and serene spot to enjoy dinner.
As for the food, I give props to our waiter/kitchen for accommodating our request for 4 spring rolls when the order said 3.
-Spring Rolls ($48): Much bigger than anticipated, nicely stuffed and loved the chili dipping sauce
-Stir Fried Eggplant with Minced Pork and Basil ($68) Enjoyed the flavor of the pork along with the eggplant, cooked well and overall filling
-Yellow Curry Mixed Vegetarian ($98) Also good, probably have had better curry but it was still good.
Overall, we were impressed with the service, cleanliness, politeness, very reasonable prices and the food was good, not raving, but good. What we weren't impressed with was the adult beverages. Sadly, neither hubby or myself were pleased with what we ordered to drink. His was an Old Fashioned. I do not recommend. It came to the table looking like lemonade. Sorry, but we were like...what is that? After he tasted it, he made me taste it and I was laughing. Yikes! I went with their Cabernet Sauvignon and I'm no wine snob, well, okay maybe the first glass I am but after that...This tasted more like a 5th glass, boxed, probably $2 buck chuck tastes better than this.
Thankfully, we have our watering hole next door so next time we come we'll do food, just skip the beverages! read more
