Jonathan G, you should be ashamed.....I have never posted a review on the internet, but for two reasons I feel that this one is a must. First I will talk about my family's experience, then I will address Jonathan's review.....My Tech helped my daughter replace the engine in her car, and for multiple reasons I thank them. My daughter is a single mother who, like most has to watch every penny, so when her car engine went she started calling mechanics to replace it. She found an engine online, and then started looking for someone to put it in. She never mentioned her financial difficulties to anyone, she just asked for a fair price. She also asked for a quote on a few other items to be done while the engine was out to save large repair costs in the future. Everywhere she called they quoted her standard rates on the additional parts, even though the job would be much easier with the engine already removed. Some of these estimates added 600-1200.00 to the total bill. When she spoke with Jeff at My Tech he quoted a very, very competitive rate on the engine replacement, but what surprised her was Jeff's response to the additional parts. He said that since the engine was out those would be easy, so if she supplied the parts, they would do all of that at no additional charge. WOW, finally an honest mechanic! She was going to order aftermarket parts to save money, but Jeff did not want her putting inferior parts into her vehicle so he purchased all of the parts from the dealer and gave her a great deal on them. So as a mother, I have to say many thanks to the guys at My Tech for taking such great care of my daughter. Now the second reason for this review. I went into the shop for them to do a follow up on my daughter's car. I was there when Jonathan G came into the shop. When he first walked in I saw that his shirt said something about being a Veteran of the Iraq war. I thought to myself there is one of America's Hero's and I was going to say thank you for your service when he finished at the counter. What I witnessed made me not only disgusted, but angry. It was obvious by the conversation that Jonathan had not brought the correct parts in which had delayed the repair to his vehicle. The tech seemed to have well documented notes on each contact made regarding the matter. The manner in which Jonathan spoke "at" the tech was not only rude but was an insult and embarrassment to every Marine out there. After listening to him rant for what seemed like forever, the tech finally said "what do you think you should pay?" To which Jonathan responded "I was expecting nothing more than $500.00" He then made the comment "I will not go on to social media and bash you". So when I saw his review on here I just had to comment. Shame on you Jonathan G, Not only did you take the shop for a few hundred dollars; you then lied about bashing them on social media. All I can say is I hope when you were in country you represented our prestigious Marine Corp much better than you do here at home. If you are going to go around treating your fellow Americans so poorly, please leave the shirt at home so as not to dishonor your fellow Marines. read more
