A few months ago I was getting my brakes changed and a shop told me that my engine is leaking blue fluid and they showed me the leak the blue fluid, and quoted me several thousand dollars to fix it and change the brakes I took my car somewhere else and change the brakes, and then I took my car to consult a tech in Temecula and Jefferson Brought it in at 8:30 at 9:30. They told me there's no problems. There's no leak whatsoever with my car engine or anywhere else, and charged me nothing! Literally extremely frustrating that I can't trust franchise auto stores,like why would you try to scam me is the money going into the mechanic pockets ? Before leaving my car for an oil change they asked me if I wanted my tires rotated, but I told them no since I just got new tires. When we returned it was ready when promised, however they changed my cabin filter and air filter. I have a classic car and very picky on who works on it. I was referred over to Consult - A- Tech by another auto repair merchant. My car required pulling the rear end out, check the ring gear, sandblasting the rust away (really bad a Midwest car) and powder coating. I added a few other repairs while it was in the shop. Rear main seal All shocks replaced Install new style 3 point seat belts Rear brakes compete And some misc stuff It turns out I needed to replace the differential complete. So that kicked the cost up but now the rear end is bullet proof with 3.55 gears and posi traction. I highly recommend Consult- A - Tech! This is the place to go. After my accident and getting it fixed by Faith Auto. I took it to Cari and Tim, they helped me get my car up and running again. Faith Auto Collision denied that it was overlooked and gave me an unsafe car to drive. Buuuuuut Cari told my incidence that my car wasn't done and showed them. Consult-A-tech saved the day!!!! A nightmare turned into a blessing!!! They showed me and my insurance that because the SUV got hit from the side so hard it cracked my transmission pipe and the bracket holding my transmission. Don't go anywhere else. I finally feel like I can take all my vehicles here and know I'll always be taken care of and not lied to. I usually don't do two reviews for the same company, but I just had to. Our mini van's driver side power seat broke. Cari and Branden informed me that Toyota no longer made the piece that we needed and it would require a full motor replacement which would have been very expensive. They told me to not worry about it and instead contacted all their distributors and news ones to find the part they needed. They worked countless days and finally found the piece and the cost was significantly less and I truly mean significantly. They didn't have to go through all that trouble and they did. I had 100K service done in October 2020- spark plugs, oil change, belt, etc. Car had a check engine light on when I picked it up but was told not to worry about it now because it wasn't time to smog. Ok. Brought it home, had some squeaky noises from under the hood which I thought would go away eventually. Fast forward to Dec 2021 and I brought it in to a different place to get a new battery and brakes. Well what do you know, they need to replace the serpentine belt ...that Consult A Tech told me they replaced and charged my for a new one a year later. The technician said it was "cracked and rotting." I can't recommend this place because I don't trust them in my experience. read more
