My two were excellent and came with various condiments. Only problem I had was that the red sauce was extra hot (but it did have a great flavor). The green avocado sauce was perfect. Matt said his was very good and he stayed away from the red sauce. They have a very large menu (all in Spanish) but with no prices. We ordered right away. While I wanted a goat taco, they didn't have any today. We were shocked at the prices. My two tacos were $4.00 ( left a dollar tip) and Matt's tacos and hotdog was $5.00. Just amazing prices. They also had many different food options. This is a food truck but it had a covered patio with benches. It looked to us that it was a neighborhood place because most people knew each other. The patio was clean and the table wiped down before they brought the food. If you are in the area or looking for a new place to try, you should give it a try.

They do most everything in house and usually you can find various members of the owner's family helping out taking orders and cooking. It is a food truck, but they do have a few tables and chairs for outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They don't have set hours however. They're around for most lunch/dinner shifts, but some days don't show. For food, they have a little bit of everything from carne asada and adobadas to chicharon and menudo. You can get most everything as either a plate, taco or burrito. I usually go with a plate and have at least two meals out of it. They pride themselves on cooking everything with mesquite charcoal. I love their adobada as well as red chili burritos, both have a real punch of flavor. The burritos come LOADED with meat, so be prepared when you order. The plate is served with a delicious Mexican rice, refried beans, a cabbage/onion mix (ask for extra!) and a couple pretty good tortillas. They also serve fresh, homemade lemonade that is amazing on a hot day!

El Semental is a food truck parked on the corner of Western and Kinney. They offer the standard Mexican food truck fare (well except for Sonoran dogs) of tacos, caramelos and burritos. What is unique about this truck, is the choice of meats offered. Carne asada, chicken, abodado, chile verde, red chili, barbacoa (Fri & Sat), and a couple others. Burritos are huge, tacos are offered regular or monster sized, and the nachos (more on those in a minute) are gargantuan. We visited several times and have sampled a good amount of what they have to offer. At times, it's been great and others times have been...not. Product has been flavorful and nicely spiced or salty, chewy and inedible. This applies to pretty much all items. Nachos had potential but were ruined with lots of cold guacamole/sour cream and lettuce on top that prevented the cheese from melting and made the meat cold. Yuck. Will be staying away from those next time. Why keep playing the hit and miss game? Like I said, not much else out in this area to eat. Another reviewer wrote about the lemonade and she was absolutely right about that. Lemonade is delicious. I debated on 3 or 4 stars for awhile and decided that it really depends on the time you go apparently. I'm going to say 4 in the hopes that it may encourage you to give a local business a try and hopefully that will get them to be more consistent.

They offer you all the toppings you want to add yourself which was nice. They also have bacon wrapped peppers which were really good too. Lupita was very nice and welcoming. Great service overall. I aim to rectify this, wallet willing. La Paloma is a big, red truck on Palo Verde, just south of Drexel on the west side of the road. They alos have a small hot dog cart next to their big red truck that they plan on using just for the Sonoran dogs. You can't miss it. I had a Sonoran dog and it was pretty good. Not disappointing. Not spectacular like Hotdog Solution or Ruiz's, but it was good, nonetheless. It was not Chipilon style, toasted on the outside of the bun. She did not ask me if I wanted it with everything as I am accustomed to being asked at every other Sonoran dog truck I've been to, so that might be something to be aware of if you do not like everything on it. Their "everything on it" were the beans, some pico, grilled onion (yes, in addition to diced onions of the pico), mustard and mayo. I also had a carne asada taco on corn tortilla. This was so-so. Not much flavor to it, I've had better carne many other places. As you can tell from my photos, some of their menu is extensive. I saw a couple of guys chowing down on a half watermelon each, with the melon cubes in the rind shell. They also have banana splits, apparently. The menu selection is large. Though I wasn't overwhelmed by the experience, it would still be an OK stop. They do accept credit cards, so that is a plus.

The meat is lean and not fatty at all. The kimchee gives it that perfect bite with out being overpowering- plus, it makes it healthy in my book (insert humor)- kimchee is loaded with nutrients and probiotics. The lettuce the top it with is super fresh and abundant, helping me get in my dark leafy greens while totally enjoying some sinful tasting tacos. They also top it with a bit of a sesame glaze that is tasty. The quesadilla is also great...very similar to the taco but with cheese. I never deny cheese. However, the tacos win in my heart or shall I say, stomach. Another showstopper is the Bam Bam burger! Shaved rib-eye marinated in the same" marinade of perfection" as the tacos forms the patty. No ground meat here. This is a true steak burger. Topped with melted cheese, fresh pineapple, sriracha and local Chilttepica salsa. It is a flavor bomb. I have never been able to pick it up and eat it like a burger though. I knife and fork it. There are many other things I want to try like the noodles, the burrito with the noodles, the insane fries featuring more kimchee and the talk of the interwebs the ramen burger!!!!!!!!! Yes ramen burger, food trends are slowly trickling down to the old pueblo. Their truck may not be the prettiest, the credit card machine may not always work. But the food is worth it. Disclaimer: I shamefully admit I have never been to former Mafoocoo- not for lack of interest. Just give Bam Bam a try.
