I went in with some reference images and she ended up foiling the hair and working very thoroughly to get it done. She also did great on the cut and I feel like a new version of myself! There was one part (likely due to how my hair was parted) that I felt like fell a little funny which I noticed the next day, and she's getting me in to fix it so I really appreciate the continued service and accommodation of a request. The pricing also felt more than fair, especially considering the time it took and the amount of hair I have which meant more product was needed. Overall, it was a great experience! To keep this short, It was my first time going into a salon to do my hair. I decided to try Mateos…read morebecause I heard some good reviews about it. I have Asian hair and wanted to get a balayage pastel purple done on me with my natural roots to create a shadow. I showed her a few photos and she suggested that I try getting chunks of purple highlights in my hair instead with the balayage. My hair took a long time and we agreed I come back tomorrow morning to get the purples in. Before I left she rinsed my hair and toned it. I went to sit down to see that my roots did not blend in with the blonde at all. I mentioned it to her to fix it and she told me she will fix it tomorrow. The next day she starts painting the purple on my hair. She then bleached the rest of my hair and she told me she was doing the balayage on me. When she finished it came to my surprise that my roots did not change a bit. I left the salon disappointed. I called back a few days later to schedule an appointment to redo my roots. That also did not go so well and ended up not getting my roots fixed besides getting a trim on my hair. I hope I find a better salon next time to do my hair.
