If you want a generic massage for relaxation, then don't go to Linda. If you're in pain and you actually want a solution, then you need to see Linda asap. Will it be uncomfortable and even painful? Do not come here of you want a legit massage based on science. I was extremely excited about getting a massage from Linda. Instead I came out mad and disappointed. When I called to book, she made sure I was there for pain relief not a typical massage. I was - my body was tight and achy from traveling. She said she was going tackle my hips for my tight legs and my spine for my back which I thought could have merit. However, she literally just dug her elbows into my spine the entire time. That's, right, into my spine, not to the sides of my spine where the muscles are. I'm pretty sure this is dangerous. She then proceeds to gua sha the heck outta me including behind my ears where she said my sinuses were. Excuse me, I've been educated on anatomy pretty extensively, and there are NO SINUSES there. Now my back and spine are black and blue from bruising. To top it off, she lives in the massage parlor w her dog. And when I asked about where her technique was from - what theory she follows. She said some foundation and that she can cure cancer. This massage place is whack and follows dangerous principles. read more

This lady has no training. I also told her my problem areas plenty of times, but she only spent 5 mins on my legs and feet, and spent the whole hour doing random areas i didnt ask for. Plus, she kept scratching and digging into me with her nails. And grinding on the bones with her knuckles. I can take a lot of pain, but this is the complete wrong type of pain. There is no benefit to scrathing me with your nails. And grinding on the bones and funny bones. There were some good moments because she is strong, but she has absolutely no idea what she is doing, or what she is talking about. Very weird massage. read more

Ok - others have said it already but I'm echoing the warning that this is not a "soothing" massage type of place. I came across My Spa randomly as I was having dinner at Osaka which is about 50 feet away. I decided I'd get a massage after dinner since I had been travelling quite a bit and my back and shoulders were bothering me. When I walked in the door and asked if there was a massage appointment available, Linda said she did "body work" and not a massage. I wasn't sure of the distinction but was up for it so went ahead with session. I quickly figured out the difference - if you've ever had trigger point or deep tissue massage - you've got the "light" version of this body work. Besides hands and forearms, Linda will use some wood tools to help release the tendons. Not relaxing but highly effective. I felt the benefits of my session enough where I went back again a few days later before I left Vegas. Will definitely be going back when I'm in town again. read more

Linda is the best! This isn't a typical massage; it is serious bodywork. I do not find typical massages useful. They may feel good at the time but there's no lasting relief. Linda's massage is very different because her goal is to find and treat the root cause of the soft tissue causing the problem. Her technique is based on the idea that tendons get tight and pull on the muscles. She's also really good at finding and working knots until they are gone (or mostly gone if they're big, long term knots. Yes, that will feel uncomfortable at the time but that's how you get results that last longer. You may need more than one treatment. With my arthritic back condition I always need good massage to give me some temporary relief. The prior male masseur in town was good but his departure left me out in the cold. The encounter with Linda was a blessing, she is even better than what the powerful man could give me. It is truly therapeutic and is of Asian rooted. I may not understand her explanation of how to promote the blood circulation and rid of the cold air from the body, what I know is after a solid massage for one hour, my pain was greatly relieved. For someone like me who get used to powerful acupressure massage from men, Linda's message did not bring in pain that was intolerable (but it will be for someone who looks for comfort) what I appreciated is her thoroughness in searching knots and releasing them over the neck and back, and at the end you are truly liberated. Linda gives the most incredible therapeutic bodywork. Her work is for those who need to relieve toxins, tension and break up scar tissue. I'm a tennis player and after her massage I had more range of motion, my hips felt loose and I think I walked out two inches taller. Linda is the best. I came in with extremely tight hips and lower back, and after I session I could walk so much easier. This is a great find for locals as well as tourists. For those staying on the strip, it is worth while renting a car to try out this place as well as other restaurants. I am not sure what this place is. I went in for a massage and instead got a grueling hour of applied pain. Linda ( my masseuse) applied so much pressure into areas that was suppose to release contracted muscles. She also said she didnt work on the muscles where it was sore because she might hurt me. Instead she applied such unpleasant pressure on another area- no kneading, no relaxing - a lot of screaming, no relief. The lousiest "spa" I have ever been to. read more

I came in not knowing what to expect but was educated greatly on the fact that this would not be a regular American type of massage. We discussed my points of concern, where I was hurting, and I was escorted to a very nice, spacious room. My masseuse seemed to be the only one there and was possibly the owner. Her little dog followed her around the place. But left me alone and was very sweet. Very clean and serene environment. She did make it clear that this was a different type of massage. She worked on the tendons or the origins of muscle, not in the large muscles themselves. Often this was painful but I could feel a difference in my passive range of motion immediately afterward. My neck was no longer feeling kinked like it needed to be popped, my hips loosened and my back felt relief. I feel like if you know this going in, it will be a better experience overall. read more

Linda is the best. I have been seeing her on and off for 6 years. Just recently this year I have been having horrible Plantar Fasciitis and shin splints. It has got so bad I can barely walk sometimes. My shoulder was pretty messed up. I tried another place for a deep tissue massage but nothing. A client recommended this place. Linda is amazing, she asks what the problem is and tackles it. After an hour of excruciating pain my shoulder was 80% better. After a follow up it was less painful to sit through the hour but my shoulder feels 100% and even my neck and flexibility is much improved. If you are looking for a soft soothing massage this is probably not your best bet but if you are hurting and need to be fixed this is the place. Best of all it is quiet, comfortable and NON sexual. I love, love Linda. I was referred to her by my Acupuncture Doctor, who swears by her technique. As the other reviews point out, this is not your typical massage. Linda is a healer, and her approach is painful, but geared towards healing and not putting a band aid on the problem. Keep in mind that as you frequent her, the pain subsides because the tendons and nerves are more relaxed. She knows the body well and I am amazed at how much better I feel after. I have seen her for pain in my shoulders, neck, and even for headaches. It is true that if you know the difference between her approach and the typical massage, it will be a better experience. I came upon this place by chance or more likely by divine intervention. I was experiencing extreme pain and extreme restriction of mobility in my right arm. In addition, I had gum-ball size abnormality that manifested itself on my neck for no apparent reason. Long story short, in two sessions I regained 98% of my range of motion back in my arm and the protrusion on my next was complete gone. The session was very painful. However, Linda educated me on how the body heals itself and the importance of blood flowing through the tendons to reach the problematic areas. I have been going to Linda for two years and she is like no other therapist. When I refer her, I explain it's like having a massage from a human foam roller zeroing-in on all your tight spots. The prior review is unfair as obviously "Linda" was looking to be relaxed and babied. I was looking for someone to fix my ailment and everything else I had tried wasn't working. I walked in taking a chance since I'd never been here, but I was in so much pain, I figured any massage would do. Linda took me right in, asked me if I wanted a shower before starting and offered me a hot towel and a pair of shower shoes. I couldn't resist. I took a fantastic hot shower in their beautiful shower room and went back in for my massage. She did warn me that her technique while it would cause me pain in the short term, would provide the most relief in the long term. I am a fan of sports style deep tissue massages so I was up for the challenge. I am not going to lie, she did massage me in a way I'd never been massaged before, but the after effects were fantastic. I sit at a computer for work all day and I haven't been able to properly use my right shoulder, forearm and hand in about 18 mos now due to a repetitive strain injury. One hour with Linda and it's GONE. Her technique is described on the website: Pain relief massage works the tendons instead of the muscles. It focuses on expanding the tendons which contain the nerve endings and blood vessels. When the tendons contract, blood flow is reduced and nerves are restricted. Pain occurs when this happens. In some cases, the pain is relieved almost instantly when the tendons release the constricted state. Clients experience wonderful relief, better sleep patterns, and with continued treatment, complete removal of the painful condition. In some cases, clients who have suffered chronic pain for years have begun living pain free lives! She did massage many of my tendons and the actual process was a painful one, but this technique works. For example, the front part of my shoulder was hurting, so she relieved a tendon more towards my back. The relief was almost instantaneous. It was not what I was expecting, but it worked! I have not been this pain free in YEARS. I feel like a new woman. She advised me to drink lots of water and use a heating pad on my sore parts afterwards and I advise anyone to do the same. I have been coming to Linda at My Spa for over 5 years and have never had a bad massage. Usually go in 3 or 4 times a month. I'm 72 years old and I have to let out a Yelp on occasion but it definitely works. Played sports most of my life between tours as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps so understand the need for a real massage. Very nice and clean facility.
