I am a few weeks behind on this review but Sara is great! From the moment I met her, I knew she was my kind of person. We talked and laughed and joked around during my whole session. I'm an ancient history scholar and she wanted to know all about it and, of course, I love talking about it so that was really fun but also my face looked so refreshed after the experience. It has been so dry lately. I got home and my boyfriend was like... how did they make your skin so soft?! That's definitely a good review for me. I got the HIFU treatment on my face, neck, and stomach. At first, I was freaked out because my belly button looked like it had dropped (which means the treatment is no joke... it's really powerful) but I looked it up and it said it's because my collagen needs to catch up with my loss of fat cells which it did. It's not like Ozempic face where it takes years to bounce back. It looked normal again in about a week. I'm not sure I'd do my stomach again. I'm quite thin and have never had kids so I don't have much loose skin there but I would like to do my neck again. That's the part that bugs me the most. I'd like to go back and do my hips as well because it really does work to eliminate fat. It says it takes 8-12 weeks but, for me, it was fairly immediate. I'm happy with my results and will definitely be back. Also, if you see the Groupon, call her and ask for the same price rather than buying the Groupon. She'll give it to you and won't have to pay Groupon their cut! read more

I went in for HIFU for the face and neck. I am amazed at how much I already see a difference! As soon as the procedure was over, I already felt my skin feeling tight. The pain was definitely tolerable. Sara was amazing!!! She's so sweet, cute, open and welcoming. Her spa is so cute and clean, which is a plus! You can tell she cares which is really nice. Unprofessional and rude interaction I called to ask a couple of simple questions about their microneedling offer on Groupon, specifically how many passes are typically done and how long the treatment usually takes. Sara, the owner, immediately replied in an irritated tone, repeating "it depends" several times. When I asked what she meant, she said, "It depends on the body, if you're 200 pounds or 300 pounds." !!! I thought she didn't understand that I was talking about face micro-needling, so I said, "Ma'am, I'm talking about the face micro-needling." She replied, "Yes, I know," but stayed defensive and dismissive. I politely asked if that was how they normally speak to clients, she became defensive and said I was the first client since 2016 to ever ask such questions as if that justified her attitude. I stayed calm throughout, but she continued sounding angry and dismissive. I ended the call feeling genuinely shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful the interaction was. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable trusting someone with my face after that kind of response. read more

I hadn't been on Groupon in quite some time, but I was looking for local Hifu treatments and found Spa by Sara. I gave her a call, and she was very attentive and seemed like she knew what she was doing. So, if memory serves me right, we booked our appointment for sometime in early September. First things first, it's located near the main area of Walnut Creek. I'm really not an expert on the town but it's definitely nestled in the bustling, cutsey area. You could spend an afternoon shopping, get a treatment, and get dinner afterward. Next, my treatment was absolutely amazing. She listened to me, took such careful care, and since it was our first treatment together, used the perfect settings that didn't cause any stinging or discomfort. She also knew a lot about the technology and seemed like she was well-trained up. Not to mention, she is super pleasant, and the 45 minutes just flew by. I went to Sara's shop 2-wks ago for a HIFU treatment that I saw advertised on Groupon. I have heard from others who have had this treatment that it was a bit painful (it uses high intensity ultrasound, heat), results showed right away, and one even said she needed to take a pain killer once home. During my treatment (face and neck), I felt no heat at all, in fact I felt absolutely 'nothing'. I mentioned this to Sara during treatment and asked if this was 'normal'? She said each person is different (blah, blah) and not to worry. After I got home I was worried abt that, I've had other heat related treatments before (not HIFU) and I felt the heat! But the temp of the tool was cool, like just room temperature. I texted her saying I really didn't think the machine was working and would she check it? She came back with a series of texts all saying her machine always works well, that her clients love the treatment, etc. I then sent her a before and after pic to prove my point, you could see no improvement at all - not even a little. I told her I would like a refund (I would have accepted a 2nd treatment free of charge but she never offered), to which she sent another series of texts claiming there are thousands of machines and they all work differently, some people have high pain tolerance (not me), etc. etc. Bottom line, she wasn't offering to do anything - not even do a check on her machine! She told me it can take up to 3 months for full results. Now, others I spoke to said I should see SOME type of improvement immediately, and Sara seemed to support that because she was raving about the 'amazing results' I'm getting already based on the pics I sent her! WTH?? So... I am going to keep on top of this! I will continue to take a pic (using same lighting as the others) and send to her. If I do start to see even minor improvements, I will update my review. But as of right now, I am seriously disappointed in Sara's refusal to make even the smallest effort and especially for raving abt good results I've not gotten even up to today. read more
