I love this shop and Nomita! She has done two high profile homes for me and hit it out of the park…read morewith both of them! The first one was for a national sustainability and design conference in 2014. Her professionalism was on full display as she helped coordinate items from across the nation with my client's and donors. Her concept for the home focused on clean simple design that highlighted not only the sponsors but local New Orleans artist. The second home she did was a tiny house where she worked closely with me and my client two showcase the homeowners style via colors and texture as well as our commitment to healthy and sustainable furniture. I would trust Nomita with my house anytime and you should too! :-)

I hired Nomita for a paint color consultation, after seeing a page on Spruce's web site advertising…read morethis service (see uploaded screenshot for details). I verified the service, and price with her, in the presence of two employees, and a date was set for 5 weeks later. One day before the appointment Nomita stated that she wouldn't honor the agreed upon (and advertised) price of $200, she now wanted $300. She demanded to know where I'd seen the price, so I sent her a link to her page. She claimed, in a dizzying series of defensive emails, the web page in question was either outdated, existed only in a "black hole," hadn't existed for 6 years, was from 2013, or never existed at all. She didn't seem sure. In reality, it was 2 clicks from her home page up until that day, when she had it removed. I realized this wasn't someone I could work with, at any price. When she realized there was no convincing defense for jacking up the price at the last minute, she wrote this: "You are taking advantage of me as a minority woman owned business!" As yet, I've no clue what that refers to. So it's pretty offensive, not just to me, but to anyone who's been legitimately affected that way. Not very impressive. Neither is the "I looked up how to respond to negative reviews on the Internet" non-response below.
