My stylist recently went on her own and ion so happy for her. I didn't realize they had the opportunity to have their own space and not have to report to anyone in the normal "chain" system.
She knows my hair so well and this new location is a haul for me but for beauty, it's worth it.
The location shares the building with Free Range Brewing, Rhino Market, etc but luckily there's a new parking deck that has retail parking separate from the residential apartments that surround the building. You can also park in the gravel lot where Amelie's flagship location used to be located and just walk across.
Each stylist has their own booking system, but you just walk in and use the phone system to let them know you are there and they can either buzz you in or come get you.
Since there's no receptionist I have found it funny to watch people get there for the first time and pull on the door. One girl even turned off the lights thinking it would open the door for her.
Each studio space is customizable to the stylist, you can see their personalities and different service offerings since each space is almost like an aquarium (lots of glass). My stylist is planning on putting up more shelving and also a TV so clients can have a great experience visiting her.
Overall the space is super new and I am glad there's a space like this for stylists and folks that offer beauty/ self-care services.... I think there's a tattoo artist that has a space here. read more
